Chapter 27

The two men entered the hospital and quickly blended into the chaos, aware that no one would notice their invasion. It was usually the case, no one noticed them unless they wanted them to, that was the nature of their jobs and the reason they were good at it.

They made a beeline toward the elevator and went in with a crowd of other doctors and nurses. Getting down when most of the elevator's occupants got down. The older of the two men pulled out his smartphone and checked the text he'd gotten.

Their target was still in the intensive care unit, she didn't regain consciousness yet, and visitation hours were over a long time ago, so getting to her should be a matter of a few maneuver around the nurses. Not that anyone would stop them while they were dressed like that.
