Training Tristen

" So Shu, what will you teach me? "

Tristen questioned, as he walked around him, witnessing his way of meditation

" Well, for you to even survive any of my training, I'll need to unlock your sanctuary veins so that the energy from your core is able to travel through them "

Shu explained as he opened his eyes, standing from the ground, stretching somewhat whilst being stared at by Tristen

" What will that do for me? "

Tristen questioned as Shu simply smiled as he surrounded the finger tips from his right hand in blue sanctuary energy

" Sit on the ground, mimic my meditation stance "

Shu ordered as Tristen willingly smiled, excited to know what would happen next.

The boy would then sit on the ground, crossing his legs together whilst laying his hands on top of his knees, completing the stance by closing his eyes.

" Good. Now clench your teeth, this will be painful "

Shu whispered to then tap the boy's stomach four times in a circular motion. Then he'd tap his shoulders once, then where the heart was, four times mimicking the circle he formed on his belly.

He'd then move his fingers down to Tristen's crotch, tapping each side of his waist once, and finally, he'd move his hand up to the boy's forehead, proceeding to press his thumb against it, causing all places he tapped to glow blue.

A circle would form on his stomach and chest, whilst blue dots began to shine blue on both his shoulders and both sides of his waist.

A bright light would the engulf the boy, only for it to disappear seconds later, now revealing the boy's odd new state.

His nervous system was now visible, every string, and even his brain along with his spine, which all shined blue.

" Open your eyes "

Shu ordered, as the boy then opened his eyes, listening to Shu's command. The moment the boy opened his eyes, the nervous system began to glow brighter, causing even his eyes to glow

" Now, prepare yourself "

Shu whispered as his right palm began to glow a dark blue

" This is where the time starts "

He added, to then lay his hand on the boy's belly

" Pain? I don't feel any— "

The kid couldn't finish his sentence, as what Shu warned him of came to be. A pain with no equal began to spread across the kid's body, which caused him to scream in pain

" Screams are natural, I'm forcefully awakening your sanctuary veins so, pain is to be expected "

Shu whispered as Tristen's scream went on endlessly, his every agonizing yell being heard across the entirety, or rather half of the forest.

Tears began to slip out of Tristen's eyelids as the pain intensified, cuts opened from where the glow of his nervous system were seen, causing him to bleed, bringing him even more pain.

The kid's hair then straightened, standing against the laws of gravity as blue energy began to surround its strands.

" Final touches "

Shu added as both his palms began to glow

" To the gods I pray, to the gods I ask, to the gods I bow, to the gods I request, awaken the roots which stand in front of me "

Shu whispered with his hands clasped together. The boy would then slam his hands on Tristen's body, his left on the boy's chest and the right on his belly, causing the glow of the see-through nervous system to intensify.

A few seconds would pass and then the glow would suddenly disappear, all of it being sucked into the boy's body, and just when Tristen thought it'd be the end of it all, a blue like powder of energy released from his body.

The powder would then fly aggressively above the kid's body only to then fly down towards it, stabbing each grain of itself inside Tristen's skin and muscles

" Good, now when your sanctuary energy grows your body will be strong enough of a vessel to keep you away from death. One must firs awaken their roots before using any sort of sanctuary technique, their body will suffer greatly otherwise—well that's what grandpa told me, anyway, stand, we can now begin training "

Shu explained, to then pat the boy's head a few times, sighing whilst placing his hands on his hips, looking around the forest, thinking of what to teach the kid.

" I thought I'd die—Jesus that was painful. Well, now what do we do? "

Tristen questioned, as he slowly stretched his limbs out, in an attempt to get rid of the slight pain he still felt

" Well, first——we spar, I need to gauge your current level and base my training off of that "

Shu explained, as he then placed his hands behind his back, smiling whilst looking down at the boy

" Wha-huh? What are you doing? "

" Well, I'm waiting for you to attack, what do you think? "

Shu replied, causing the boy to take in a dee breath as he then dashed toward Shu, pulling his arm backwards to then swing it forward, only for it to be avoided by Shu.

Though, intriguingly enough, when the boy swung his arm he caused a very small gust of wind, but a strong enough for it to shake the growing leaves on the trees

" Wow, I feel—-I feel so light, and—and free, what is this feeling? "

Tristen questioned whilst looking down at his hands, trying to understand the changes in his body

" Well, it's natural for one to feel better when they finally are able grasp the capabilities of their body "

Shu replied, answering yet not answering the boy's question, as he himself didn't know how to, when it came to mastery of sanctuary energy, Shu was simply a novice.

" Well, It feels great! "

Tristen yelled, making Shu smiled, only to look up, watching as the boy jumped into the air, swinging his arms and legs all over the place in an attempt to hit Shu

" Well by the looks of it, it seems I'll need to teach you how to actually fight, and as for what to focus on—— "

He whispered, to then grabbed Tristen's arm to the slam the boy against the ground, stealing the boy's ability to breath if only for a few seconds

" You'll need to improve in speed "

Shu added, finalizing his judgement upon the boy's abilities to fight.
