Tier 2 Assessment

Only a few dozens of team members lived in the team building, each of them could be considered higher ups in charge of at least a hundred people in God's Domain.

The update made many players upset because of how long it would take, this also applied to Leroy who just reached Tier 2 and wanted to check the changes.

In the meantime, information about the Mind Space system was released.

The mind god space would be a new feature of the game that would allow players to create their own space outside of the game.

Said personal space would be very expensive but it would not be added inmediatly after the update.

That was basically all the released information.

Players were excited about the idea but still pissed that it would not be added inmediatly.

40 hours was indeed a long time.

The team took their time to search for informations, some decided to travel outside in the meantime, some other just waited patiently for the update to be finished.

Leroy lifestyle didn't change much, the time he didn't expend in the game, he did so with Felicity.

As the team expanded, the building would also need to expand.

The building managment has already reported this, the team had more than enough credits to fund the expansion and it wouldn't even affect the member's lifestyle either.

Besides some companies that arrived to make advertising proposal or fighting gyms that wanted their members to.be trained by the Dream Chaser Team, not much happened.

Leroy didn't bother negotiating and let the management take care of it, they didn't need their money anyway but if a member wanted to make some extra income they were free to do so.

Almost two days passed until the update was complete and they again entered God's Domain.

After he logged in, Leroy felt the changes inmediatly.

His senses were greatly enhanced, it wasn't just because of reaching Tier 2, but all players felt said changes to their senses.

Some even reported changes in the leveling maps, and the effect the enviroment on the player was now something that cojldn't be ignored, but instead it would affect a player's combat capabilities to a greater extent.

With more members wearing Abyss Set Equipment, they had an easier time clearing dungeos, even if it was pvp oriented, the stats were good against monsters.

Some hand picked healers also started learning the secret technique, their standards quickly rose to new heights.

The Dream Chaser team members weren't limited to form parties with each other, they were free to cooperate with other guilds or teams so long said people weren't recognized as enemies.

This made the team reputation grow and be recognized by independant players and teams as the best pve oriented team in the empire and sorroundings.

The team has also proven to be a top power in pvp, but they didn't participate in any conflict after the war on Stoneclaw Mountain.

While more players logged in after the update, Leroy checked the system logs after he completed his promotion.

System: Congratulations! You have been promoted to Tier 2 Sage of Darkness. All Attributes +270, all Resistances +40%, Attack Power and Attack Speed increased by 30%, all Attributes increased by 60%, and physique improved by 20%.

System: Congratulations! You have completed your Tier 2 Promotion Quest. Please head to the Adventurer's Association to complete the Tier 2 promotion procedures

His attributes has grown so much that he felt ridiculous, a tier 1 player had no chance lf competing against a tier 2 one.

Only his summon's spells reached tier 2 after his promotion. The rest still didn't reach their limit but weren't far off, the exception being the most recent spells he obtained like the turtle summon spell he created.

However, he didn't the have intention of using that summon, he spent many days and resources to create it but the results disappointed him.

The turtle barely reached the grand lord standard, it's defense and hp was not much stronger than the twilight knight even when they were offensive type summons.

The main reason that Leroy wanted to create it was because the dungeon boss had huge defense and the ability to shrink in size without losing attributes, but the summon skill wasn't as efficient.

For this reason he just choose to take it as a failed experiment.

'Adventurer Association...' Leroy started walking after checking his promotion benefits.

There were countless players entering the adventurer association's building. One could obtain quests that increased their reputation with the association and high rewards, with more maps being discovered, more quests were issued related to those maps. It easily became one of the mostpopular building in the imperial capital.

From top players at level 44 with gold and dark gold equipment to new and average players constantly entered or left.

Shortly after entering the association, an npc greeted him and they proceeded with the promotion.

Although the system would upgrade players' Attributes and physique once they completed their Tier 2 Promotion Quest, players wouldn't get access to all of the Tier 2 benefits right off the bat. Players first needed to register and get themselves tested at the Adventurer's Association.

Only after proving that they had completed their promotion quest would players be recognized officially as Tier 2 players.

The NPC asked him to put his hand on a crystall ball to confirm that his physique reached the tier 2 standards.

'This npc isn't weak, does he really have to do all this?' Leroy was feeling upset that he had to go through this.

The next part was important as it determined what benefits did a tier 2 player obtained.

Only after players had officially obtained their Tier 2 class would they be recognized as an adventurer in God's Domain and qualify to receive personal commissions.

This was one of the major differences between Tier 1 and Tier 2 players. To independent players, this gap would determine how successful they would be in God's Domain.

It wasn't the same to compete to pick up quest with others than to receive personal commissions.

"Sir, we will test your strength next to determine which rank you can reach. This will also help determine which commissions are most suitable for you. Please display your strongest abilities," the administrator explained.

All players would have a weekly limit of commissions accepted, but the stronger a player was, the higher the limit.

There were six ranks that divided adventurers, from bronze to epic rank. And the rank depended on this test.

Furthermore, there could only be ten epic adventurers at a time on a kingdom or empire.

Bronze rank adventurers could accept F-rank and E-rank commissions, Mysterious-Iron adventurers could accept up to D-rank commissions, Secret-Silver up to C-rank, Fine-Gold up to B-rank, and Dark-Gold up to A-rank. Meanwhile, Epic adventurers could accept all commissions, including kingdom-level quests and S-rank commissions.

This all became common knowledge as players approached level 50. This made the competition between those that weren't guild players escalate quickly.

Leroy arrived at an arena as the administrator activated a magic array and a monster was summoned.

Leroy looked at the administrator displeased.

"There is no need to go this easy on me" He said, one could feel the irritation from his tone of voice.

Without looking at the dark knight, Leroy summoned a sphere of black and silver mana up in the air.

One arrow after the other flew out of the sphere and landed on the knight.

Six arrows striked the knight and it exploded into particles of light.

"Congratulations, Lord Protector. You have passed the Bronze rank assessment and officially become a Tier 2 Cursemancer. Do you wish to continue the strength assessment?" the NPC administrator said with complex emotions on his face.

"Yes, just do it" Leroy replied and didn't say anything else before turning his gaze back at the arena.

Even the administrator felt that there was no need to test him with weak illusions but he had to follow the protocol.

"The following tests will determine your rank as an adventurer. This will also determine the rank of the commission quests you'll be allowed to accept. The next tests will be far more difficult. If the Dark Knight kills you inside the magic array, your soul will be damaged, and you will suffer a Weakened state for some time. Moreover, the stronger the Dark Knight is, the longer the Weakened state will last. Are you sure you wish to continue?" The administrator knew the answer but still had to ask.

Leroy simply nodded.

Another knight appeared in front of him and Leroy frowned.

This time, he din't use the system-based spell but instead what he refered to as free combat mode.

Three huge dark fireballs appeared in front of him and shot like a bullet against the knight.

After the flames dissipated, nothing remained of him.

A new knight formed, even with different weapons and stronger aura, it was not enough to cause a change in expression on Leroy.

"Why is their hp so low?" Leroy complained.

"Dark Slash"

He drawed a line in the air and it exploded toward the high lord.

The knight attempted to move out of the way but the attack was too fast and it's range even wider than before.

He was inmedialty sent crashing agains the wall of the arena.

The attacks didn't stop until he felt that the knight has died already.

His dark slash wasn't particulary high in level so he used this chance to upgrade it, even if he could use the free combat mode, there was nothing bad about leveling up his spells.

The administrator had weird expression om his face, he knew that the knight would be defeated but didn't expect it to die in a single attack.

Any player that reached tier 2 would have their attributes massively improved, specially hidden classes.

After a while, a knight with spear in hand appeared in front of him.

It's hp was still low but his standards should be a bit better.

'Dark Syphoon' 'Dark Fireball' 'Bone Spike'

Leroy triple-casted the spells.

The moment that the dark syphoon was summoned it inmediatly exploded forth and started dealing damage in an instant thanks to Leroy's bracer passive.

The same happened with the bone spike.

The spike pierced the general from the ground, stopping him for a moment, the syphoon devoured the great lords hp.

After the fireball exploded on his position, nothing remained on stage other than Leroy.

The administrator face went pale but injected more mana on the array, another illusion appeared in front of Leroy.

[King of Darkness] (Illusion, Grand Lord)

Leroy's eyes flashed for a second before attacking.

'Sin of Fury'

His aura growed and at least five spells attacked the grand lord at the same time.

The grand lord was not as weak as the other knights as it tried to retaliate.

He summoned more knight but with lower hp than before, they didn't survive for long.

The king used his sword skills and crashed directly with the spells, altough he could block a fireball, he couldn't block so many spells at the same time.

Leroy was using the system spells, else the king wouldn't have a single chance to retaliate.

Actually, if he had a strong control spell the result would be the same.

Even as cursemancer were knowed for their curses and control, he didn't really have any important control spell.

But with the free combat system, he could have as many spells as his ability to control mana allowed him.

The king died to the damage of the Nether Bite's spell as a system notification sounded.

System: Congratulations! You have become Black Dragon Empire's first Epic rank adventurer. Your name will be known throughout the Empire. Please retrieve your reward from the Adventurer's Association's Association Leader.

He saw the notification with disappointment, looking over at the administrator he said

"Are there no more tests?"

With a dumfounded expression, the administrator shook his head

"N-No... this is the limit of the magic array"

What a joke! Did he wanted to fight a Mythic monster or something? Did he know how many resources would consume to summon such an illusion? For a simple test it wasn't worth it.

"Ohh I understand" Leroy said but he saw with the sovereing eyes technique that the magic array wasn't really at it's limit.

It wouldn't be wise to make a big deal out of it anyway.
