Chapter 1

~In Professor Goodwitch's class during the first official day of class Team RWBY, JNPR, CRDL and various other first years team were in attendance.~

Goodwitch: "Now, today's lessons we will be testing you on how you and your team are adjusting to living and training at Beacon. But, I understand that this may seem a little hard for some people more then others so I'm having a team of 3rd years come and give their two cents."

Joseph, Samuel, Persephone, and Rachel will walk onto the stage.

Goodwitch: "Team JSPR is one of Beacon's best and more reliable huntsman teams. Their reputation is endless ranging from dismembering gang organizations in Vacuo to fighting a grim underwater near Menagerie. Now, I'll hand the mic over to the leader of JSPR Joseph Cameron.

Joseph: "Thank you Professor, as you already know I'm the leader of Team JSPR Joseph. Now, you must be wondering how was my team able to earn the reputation that it did...and let me tell you I have no idea heh heh!"

In response Persephone will punch his back lightly causing a few chuckles among the audience. 

Joseph: "In all seriousness, there are alot of instances where I believed that I could lose my teammates. The people that I fought, train, studied, and even have fun with can be taken away from me on any one of these missions. After the end of my first year and all of those missions I've been on I realized something, I can beat Grim, I can beat a gang boss but I will never be able to beat father time."

Everyone in the auditorium will be silent absorbing everything that Joseph is saying to them.

Joseph: "You must be able to work with your team regardless of everybody's individual objectives. I expect the team leaders to be able to use every member on their team to their advantage. Though this can be difficult at first you will eventually get used to it. Or you will die. And I'll have to read your eulogies. So, don't make that happen."

Persephone, Samuel, and Rachel will let out a sigh of disappointment.

Rachel: "Joseph, you were suppose to leave that ending out!"

Samuel: "Now, you made the girls nervous!"

Persephone: "Forget about the girls now you made everyone nervous!"

Joseph will let out a devilish smirk to his team. He'd notice Glynda shaking her head and look back at the audience.

Joseph: "Well, my apologizes but take what I said to heart and maybe one day who knows your team can be better then JSPR. But, let's see where you stand right now."

The students will begin to shuffle in their seats and look at each other. Facing one of the best team's in Beacon is no joke but this can also be a learning experience as well.

Joseph: "So, do we have anybody that want to volunteer."

Joseph P.O.V

I'd look around at the silent auditorium before seeing a hand shot right up into the sky. It was the girl wearing a red hood I'd also notice her teammates signaling her to put her hand down. 

Rachel will look at the red hooded girl and smile at Joseph.

Rachel: "Looks like you got your opponents."

Professor Glynda: "Alright, Team RWBY vs Joseph."

Persephone will look at me.

Persephone: "Wait, how come we aren't fighting as well." Persephone will pout.

I will look at Rachel.

Me: "Rachel what's in your coat pocket.

Rachel will sigh and remove a water balloon.

Me: "Jeez you are getting desperate. So medieval. Unless this is part of a bigger scheme I want a fair clean fight no offense.

Rachel: "Non-taken."

I will look at Persephone.

Me: "Persephone your grimm are....a wild card....also I don't want the first years to know the full scale of your abilities."

Persephone: "You're the boss."

I will look at Samuel.

Samuel: "Am I too dangerous! Too tough! Maybe too masculine!"

Me, Rachel, and Persephone will look at RWBY (an all female team) as they stood on the opposite side of the stage.

JPR: "You know why, Sam."

Samuel will bow his head in disappointment.

Samuel: "Yeah, you're right.

Persephone will walk towards RWBY's team.

Ruby P.O.V

I will watch in amazement at Joseph's leadership skills and how he interacts with his teammates. Though my team was a little bitter I could see that they were a little bit excited to fight. I noticed a Demon Faunus who is part of JSPR walk up to my team.

Persephone: "Hello, I'm Persephone and I want to wish you guys good luck in your match." As Persephone will shake the hands of everyone on my team.

Ruby: "Thanks for your support!"

I will hear the greenish-blue haired girl shout something.

Rachel: "Persephone stop making friends with the enemy."

Persephone will shrug and gave a reassuring smile to my team before returning to JSPR.

Me: "Alright, guys lets do our best and give it one hundred percent!"

Yang: "Yeah. this should be easy and it's against one person."

Blake: "That one person is leading one of the best team's at Beacon..."

Weiss: "Ruby you had to raise your hand we aren't even all in-sync we are going to lose! And the Schnee name will be tarnished! TARNISHED!"

Me: "We won't know unless we try."

Weiss will look wearily at Joseph who's team already left the stadium.

Me: "ALRIGHT, TEAM RWBY LET'S DO IT!"

Yang and Blake: "YEAH!"

Weiss: "Yeah...."

Joseph P.O.V

I'll watch the girls in amusement.

Me: "Alright, you guys should already know how to summon your lockers into the stadium. Choose your weapon and stuff and we'll start."

I'd take out my scroll and press a couple of numbers as I spot 5 lockers fall from the roof and land on the stage.

I will walk towards my locker and open it with the password "2516". My locker will open exposing my two pistol swords and a bunch of other support attachments. I will watch RWBY from the corner of my eyes.

Me: "A scythe, dual gantlets, a fencing sword, and hm...a chain sword." I'll pick up two dust grenades a water and electricity and sheathe my pistol swords.

Glynda will walk to the middle of the stage.

Glynda: "You know the rules if you aura falls to red then you have "died". Ready?

Me and Team RWBY will both nod.

Glynda: "GO!"

3rd P.O.V

Joseph will stand in place taking a defensive position with one sword out and the other sheathe as RWBY runs towards him. Yang was the first to approach him shocking Joseph at her speed and the force behind her punches. Joseph blocked her punches with his swords until Joseph feels a presence approaching behind him.

Joseph will roll to his right as Yang accidentally punched Blake in her nose.

Yang: "Blake I'm so sorry!" Yang will hear a whistle and turn around.

Joseph will hit Yang on the side of the head with his butt of his sword causing her to fall on the ground. Joseph will then turn and clash with Blake's sword. Blake will struggle by the pure strength of Joseph but she was holding her ground.

Joseph: "Belladonna...I only know of one family with that name.....a Faunus family in Menagerie. You don't think I know who you are White Fang? Will you run from your teammates just like how you ran away from home or your organization? Or do we have a traitor amongst us? Maybe I should kill you right now and explain my actions later. Then again.....let's see how far you go before you break." Joseph will say with a smile.

Blake will look at Joseph in fear but then heard a bullet whiz past the top of her head.

Joseph will quickly turn towards the origin of the bullet but was shock to see the stadium filled with smoke. Joseph will continue to maintain pressure on Blake causing her to fall on her knees as he pressed down on his sword.

Joseph: "Your Team Leader is full of surprises isn't she?"

Blake will nod.

Joseph will then hear something like a gun cocking and look at Blake's weapon.

Joseph: "Oh lord...it's also a gun."

Joseph will get shot a couple of times by Blake's weapon dropping his aura a little bit to greenish yellow. Joseph will fall back into the smoke and close his eyes. He'll lift his foot placing his heel on the ground. Persephone forced Joseph to learn this technique due to him almost shooting her in the dark. 

 "Aura Ability: Melinoe" A large seismic sphere would surround Joseph

Joseph will look around with his eyes closed as he spots Weiss slowly approaching him from behind. Joseph will quickly turn around and grab Weiss by her wrist throwing her outside of the smoke field. He'll walk towards Weiss sheathing the sword on his left hand and assuming a duelist stance with his right.

 Weiss will examine my form.

Weiss: "That stance looks familiar...who taught it to you?"

Joseph: "I think you of all people should know, Ms Schnee."

Joseph will edge towards Weiss keeping his sword pointing toward her.

Weiss will attack Joseph but it will result in a parry causing Weiss to lose her balance. Joseph will walk closer towards Weiss as she regains her stance. Weiss will then attack Joseph with a downward swing motion. Joseph will then block this attack and raise Weiss's sword above her head with the momentum he created. He then grabbed Weiss's wrist and twists the sword out of her hand causing her to be disarmed before kicking her gut causing her aura to fall to yellow.

Joseph: "You have potential as a real duelist Ms. Schnee. But, stop following the fundamentals."

Weiss will stand up and look at Joseph in annoyance.

Joseph will sigh sensing that Ruby and Yang (who was helped up by Blake when Joseph was in the smoke) was about to gang up on him.

Joseph: "Weiss relax your shoulders..and keep your head in the-.."

Yang and Ruby begin their coordinated assault against Joseph. Every time Joseph will jump back he's blocking Ruby's scythe with his sword and redirecting Yang's punches with his hand. After about the 20th jump back Joseph will then trip on a wire looking to his left seeing that it's part of Blake's weapon.

Ruby: "WEISS NOW!"

Joseph will spot ice quickly approaching him.

Joseph: "CRAP!"

*CRACK*

The fog caused by the ice will fill the auditorium quickly.

Everyone will look at the screen in anticipation hoping to see the outcome of RWBY's attack.

As the smoke cleared Joseph is nowhere to be found as the ice begins to shatter.

RWBY will huddle together and have their backs towards one another.

Joseph: "WATER NADE!" Joseph will say as he threw the water dust on the ground causing the stadium to be flooded by water. 

RWBY will struggle to leave the water. 

Joseph: "Electric NADE!" Joseph will say as he threw the lightning dust into the water causing the effect to be so much greater. Causing severe damage to the stage and to RWBY as well. 

Joseph will jump off a debris and straight at RWBY putting his swords together.

Joseph: "GOLD RAGE!"

A golden dragon will attack RWBY at the same time and drop their aura to red.

Joseph will land on the broken stage as he walked over to an exhausted RWBY. 

Ruby: "How were you able to avoid that attack?" Ruby will say as she look at Joseph as she laid on the ground.

Joseph will look at his swords.

Joseph: "Well, my handles on my sword's are embedded with gravity dust I threw one of my swords up and used that momentum to pull myself to the top of the stage."

Weiss will look at Ruby in disappointment and leave the stadium. Ruby will sit up and look down at the ground 

Joseph can tell how disappointed Ruby was by her body expression.

Joseph will crouch down to meet Ruby's eyes.

Joseph: *sigh* "But, Ruby that smokescreen and that last maneuver was a nice touch. If I didn't know better I probably would've been a goner. Nice job, kid." Joseph will say as he offers Ruby a fist bump which she accepted. 

SPR will walk out onto the stage and examine the damage. 

Persephone will walk over to Joseph.

Joseph: "Oh no..." Persephone will pull on Joseph ear. "Ow ow ow!" 

Persephone: "Joseph, you were suppose to go easy on them and you went ahead and broke the stage!" 

Joseph: "In my offense the stage broke itself I just happened to be on it at the time."

Persephone will sigh and release Joseph's ear as she will watch RBY leave the stage and head over to their seats.

Rachel: "Joseph...what was that?"

Joseph: "Hm?"

Rachel: "You could've defeated RWBY sooner what happened?"

Joseph: "I kinda wanted to see what they would do to defeat me and I think I understood their strategy. The blonde known as Yang was trying to make me exhausted and was planning to have Blake attack me from behind. While I was distracted Ruby used the smokescreen and I guess was using that to mask herself and opened fire on me."

Rachel: "Did you think the smoke could've effected her as well?"

Joseph: "Probably when my sword and Blake's weapon clash Ruby pinpointed the sound. Though it's a little unorthodox it worked. I had to retreat into the smoke after I got hit by Blake's weapon. Then it was up to Weiss to attempt to beat me in swordsmanship obviously it failed but it gave Blake time to help Yang up and place her weapon and set it as a trap. Ruby and Yang continued their assault and I trip. Then Weiss used her ice."

Rachel: "Wow....that was some good planning for first years."

Joseph will nod.

Joseph: "Against an ordinary huntsman team they would've won but it looks like they still have ways to go."

Persephone: "Enough for you to consider them as mentorees?"

Joseph: "Fine.....but Samuel?"

Samuel: "Yes, Boss?"

Joseph: "No dating the mentorees."

Samuel: "Yes...boss.."

Joseph: "Any other first years you can do whatever."

Samuel: "You are the best boss in all of remnant."

Joseph: "I know I am."
