Menagerie (1)

So, taking a deep breath, Logan started speaking into the mic.

.

Logan: "Anima, Menagerie, Sanus, and Solitas..." Logan started softly. "These four continents were where Humanity and Fuanus-kind found themselves their bastions of safety—building what we know as the Kingdoms of today. However, Faunus-kind did not get the treatment we had today.

We were treated as slaves. To be used, abused, and treated as if we were disposable. The Great War saw the end of slavery, but we were still treated as trash. Worse than the dirt we tread on. Soon after, we were shipped off to Menagerie to centralize us as a species.

Then came the first White Fang. A group of activists that sought equality through peaceful protests and boycotts. The second iteration of the White Fang did the opposite. They sought equality through riots and fighting back when attacked.

That all changed when a set of plans came to the White Fangs' leader and Chief Ghira's attention. A set of plans that showed a way for Menagerie to grow. Grow into a Kingdom of its own. One that would finally make the Four Kingdoms into the Five Kingdoms.

Since then, Menagerie has grown. From once a small town where we Faunus just wanted to be left alone. To one where we now have schools, farms, offices, ships, and shops. We have grown as a nation, as a whole. We created a place where our children could laugh and play without worry. We have earned this."

.

Logan's speech was heard throughout Menagerie. His voice was clear and full of power, resonating with each person's very being. Team RWBY, who was helping out with any repairs that they could help with, stopped and listened along with every other Faunus.

.

Logan: "However, we are not without enemies. Last night's attack was proof of that. The attack showed us that there are people- no, monsters, out there that wish for us to go back to the way we were.

I'll be honest with everyone, last night, I interrogated the crew of two of the ships that bombed Kuo Kuana. From them, I learned that they were forced to do so. Either by brainwashing or by coercion. Even then, those that were coerced were brainwashed to follow the orders to the letter. And from them, I learned this, this wasn't a terrorist attack."

.

Logan's voice grew grim when he mentioned the attack.

.

Logan: "I won't lie to you. The attack was targeted. Targeted to do as much chaos as possible and to delay us becoming a Kingdom. Not to cause as much damage as possible, no this monster wanted to cause us chaos.

These monsters wanted us to bow our heads and accept what we once had, what we once were!

I, for one, will not take this laying down. Even if I'm alone, I will fight for our future. Be it physical or political, I will fight.

What happened wasn't an act of terror. No, it was an act of war!

A war where our future generations are at risk of being what we once were, slaves.

I'm not asking you to fight with me nor am I telling you to. I'll spearhead this alone if I must, but I have just one question for all of you.

Why are we here?

For me, the answer is simple. I'm here to fight for what I believe is right."

Logan sighed after he finished his speech. Sienna stood by and watched as he handed off the microphone to a Black Fang member. Sienna could see that Logan meant every word he said. From fighting alone to spearheading everything. She sighed, knowing that Logan was willing to shoulder everything.

.

Sienna: "While that wasn't the best of speeches, you know you're not alone in this." Sienna said as she walked with Logan, her guard of Black fang members following along as well.

Logan: "I know." Logan sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "But with me at the helm, I can use a lot of my influence to get things done far faster than me as a backer."

Sienna: "True, but you need to understand that you don't need to shoulder everything yourself." Sienna insisted. "You have me and a massive portion of Menagerie behind you."

Logan: "Not everyone?" Logan asked.

Sienna: "There are always going to be holdouts." Sienna sighed and explained. "But the vast majority will be right behind you."

Logan: "Thanks" Logan sighed, seemingly aging several years with the sigh.

Sienna: "Hey, I'm here." Sienna said as she grabbed his shoulder. "You go rest. You need it. I got it from here and if I find anything, you'll be the first to know.

Logan: "Yea, yea." Logan tiredly agreed. "I'll be bunking at Ghira's if you need me."

.

And with that, Logan stumbled off to go to sleep. Sienna sighed as she watched him go. Sienna knew Logan had a bad habit to push himself when it was important. She was just glad he listened to her about getting some sleep.

Team RWBY could be seen helping where they could. Ruby helped with cooking and moving supplies to those that needed them. Weiss had called her mother, the new owner of SDC, and had a shipment of relief supplies sent over while in the meantime helping Ruby. And Blake and Yang helped with the rebuilding.

.

Soon night fell and the team regrouped at the Inn where they were staying. All four of them sat on the beds in one of the rooms exhausted from the day's work. Ruby and Weiss had cramps, Blake's hands ached, and Yang's muscles were sore.

.

Ruby: "That was a lot of work." Ruby groaned.

Yang: "Tell me about it." Yang gave a sarcastic comment.

Weiss: "That shipment should be here tomorrow." Weiss muttered while looking at her scroll.

Blake: "It's the least we could do." Blake sighed. "Just think, without Logan, it would have been far, far worse.

Ruby: "Yea," Ruby huffed. "He was in the right place at the wrong time. I can't imagine what it would have been like if he wasn't there."

Yang: "Thirteen dead, right?" Yang asked, "I can imagine that number being a lot higher if he wasn't."

A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, it's been in the 90s where I am with a 100 heat index. I could barely concentrate long enough to write what I have done already. Plus, my AC is malfunctioning as well. So bad luck for me all around, anyway, that's all.
