First day

When Logan woke up from the unexpected blow, he found himself in the living room of Tai's home. Logan could hear noise coming from what he could only guess is the kitchen. Getting up, Logan felt a little pain in his nose from the unexpected, and non deliberate, door attack. Walking to the kitchen, Logan found Qrow cooking while Summer was sipping some tea from a white tea cup.

The kitchen is a large room that also doubles as the dining area. It is accessible by a doorway leading from the living room. On the wall to the immediate right of the door is a shelving unit containing various books and another doorway, with a small landscape painting tucked away in the corner. A shovel can be seen leaning against this wall as well.

In front of the archway is a large yellow rug, a mid-sized wooden dining table decorated by a matching yellow table runner and a green bowl containing various fruits, and several pairs of chairs with green cushion. A landscape decorates the wall next to a large window behind the chairs on the wall opposite the archway, with cream curtains, next to a door leading outside. A coat rack is attached to the wall on the other side of the door with two coats hanging from the hooks.

The far end of the room contains numerous benches which wrap around the outer two walls. A large stove sits in the middle of the benches on the side and a sink occupies the center of the other side. Both are directly beneath a window, though only the stove window is curtained. The wall behind the sink is decorated with a brick-style splashback and also supports five overhead cabinets. A drying rack sits on the right side of the sink. A large refrigerator is tucked in the corner against the wall opposite the sink.

Logan had to give it to Tai, he was one hell of a decorater. Summer looked up from her tea and seen Logan enter. Smiling at him, Summer gestured for Logan to come sit with her. Logan, who naturally walked quietly, moved over to Summer without making much noise, surprising Summer in the process.

Summer: "Amazing... I could bearly hear you walk. How did you learn to move like that?" Summer said as Logan sat down. She inadvertenly scared Qrow who didn't hear him enter. When Qrow turned around to see who Summer was talking to.

Qrow: "What the- Ohh, it's you Logan. I'm surprised that you woke up so soon. Figured you'd be out for at least an hour or two."

Logan: "Thanks, I heal pretty quickly. And to answer your question Summer, I lived in the woods for most of my life. From learning how to hunt and track, to learning how to hide my presence and move as quietly as possible to avoid Grimm. Somethings never leave you I guess." Logan said as he answered Summer's question.

Summer: "Neat! I'm sure that with those skills you could become a great Hunter!~" Summer said, sounding like the Ruby Logan knows from the show.

Qrow: "That's not all Summer. Even though he may not look like it, he already can give some Hunters a run for their money. Heck, when we first met he nearly kicked my head off." Qrow said as he went back to cooking what ever he was cooking.

Summer: "Really? Why would you do that, Logan?" Summer asked after what Qrow had said.

Logan: "I was feeling like I was being followed, and it turns out I was. After I thought I lost what I thought was following me, this birdbrain thought it would be a good idea to spook me. In reaction, I retaliated with a handstand kick backwards." Logan recounted his first meeting with Qrow. "From there, we walked to Kuo Kuana after letting things go. There, I was needed for a mission with the chief's personel."

Summer: "A mission? But aren't you too young to go on one?" Summer questioned.

Qrow: "He was the only one the chief knew of that could fit the one he needed to impersonate." Qrow backed Logan's story up. "But, he-"

Logan: "Another word, and you WILL be dancing again." Logan cut off Qrow. Qrow and Logan exchanged a glance, an unspoken talk went between the two. Summer looked between the two, hoping to find some sort of hint as to what it was.

Summer: "... So! How do you know the Cheif of Kuo Kuana, Logan? I'm quiet suprised that you know him!" Summer saw that Logan would keep to his word with Qrow. She hurriedly changed the subject.

Logan: "His daugther is friends with my sisters." Logan saw what Summer was trying to do, and decided to let Qrow off, for now. "They met when I was asked to pick a few things up from Kuo Kuana, they basically begged me to bring them. They ended up running off when I lost sight of them. The two fo them then met the chief's daugther who was also seperated from her mother." Logan recounted that day. " I found the thhree of them later at the same time her mother found them. From then on, I basically had to chauffeur them to and from Kuo Kuana; they had become fast friends."

Summer: "Aww! That's so sweet of you! But, I'm impressed with your vocabulary. Not many kids your age know such big words! Which academy did you learn at?" Summer asked, curious of Logan's knowledge.

Qrow: "Summer, that's..." Qrow looked behind him and said before being silenced by Logan with a simple hand gesture. Qrow understood that Logan wanted to break the news to her.

Logan: "It's not that simple, Summer." Logan began. " Summer, untill I left, I had always lived in Menagerie. I had no education other then what my parents taught me. Everything else I learned on my own."

Summer looked stricken with disbelief. Qrow and Logan glanced at each other after a few moments when Summer froze. Logan went to ask Summer if she was alright, then Summer disappeared. Before Logan could get a word out, he felt himself being dragged. The next thing he knew, he could hear Summer yelling for Tai, saw a blue sky, couldn't breath, and felt something soft yet firm against his cheek.

Summer: "TAI! TAI! TAI!" Summer screamed as she dragged Logan in a headlock. Logan himself found out where he was very quickly. Soon, Summer and Logan were in front of Tai.

Tai was outside with two girls, one blonde and the other had similar hair color to Summer. Logan managed to get a glimpse of the two and determined that they were Ruby and Yang. From what Logan could tell, Tai was busy training the two of them. Yang had on some dirt brown shorts, a golden colored shirt, sneakers, and her hair was tied up in a single pony tai that reached down to her shoulders. Ruby was in a pair of black shorts, a crimson shirt, and sneakers. Her hair just reached past her jaw line. Logan couldn't really see their faces from his uncomfortable and precarious position.

Tai: "Summer, what is-!? Why do you have our guest in a headlock?" Tai asked her as she stopped screaming. He had a looked of utter confusion on his face. "I think he's asking to be let go, Summer."

Summer: "Huh?" Summer wasn't quite following as her mind was occupied by something else. "Tai, we have to take him in! No, we need to take him in!" Summer got back on track with what she was on before. What went unnoticed by her was that Logan was rapidly tapping her arm that was around his neck.

Tai: "Summer, honey dear. You need to-"

Summer: "Tai! He's had it so rough! We need to take him in!" Summer not letting go of her train of thought. Logan, not wanting to be in this position any longer or having his head in another man's wife's chest for that matter, took out his wings. The force of this seperated Logan from Summer, but sent Logan stummbling forward. Once Logan managed to get his balance back, he didn't realize that he didn't open his wings outside his grey, sleveeless shirt. With the back of his shirt open for all to see. Tai and Summer who saw his back were stunned into slience.

Logan: "Sorry for that Summer. You were choking me without knowing it." Logan said as he stood back up right. "I apologize if I have hurt you."

Before ether of them could ask or say anything to Logan, Ruby and Yang were in front of him and he had folded his wings in. Yang looked pretty much like what she did from the flashback episode except she only had one ponytail. Ruby was the same, except her bangs were longer and covering a the upper part of her left eye. But other then that, she was the same overall.

Ruby/Yang: "So cool!"

Yang: "Are they your semblance or something? I gotta say they're awsome!" Yang basically shouted at Logan. To him, she hasn't changed much at all from the show.

Ruby: "Maybe your weapon?! It's so beautiful! Ooo! What's it made of?" Ruby started going off on a rant while rushing around Logan. He could see bits of rose petals as she moved around. Cheerfullness radiated from Ruby.

Logan: "Well, not quite. You see, they're my wings, sort of." Logan rubbed the back of his head. He never really hung out with kids his age, so he was unsure of how to act.

Yang: "Wait,wings?... Your a Fuanus?!" Yang managed to put two and two together. She was somewhat surprised as when she seen Logan after the door accident, she couldn't tell.

Ruby: "Whaa... they're so soft~" Ruby ingored Yang as she started to curess Logan's right wing. She was inspecting the feathers when it finally regestered of what Yang said. She stopped for a second, then resumed after giving it a thought.

Logan: "Is there some sort of problem with it?" Logan asked Yang with his head turned. He really couldn't face her as Ruby was holding his right wing in her hands.

Yang: "I don't care. It's just that I didn't expect you to be one. There are a few at school, and they well... Are kind of loners." Yang said as she put her arms around her neck. "They don't really talk to anyone.

Logan nodded his head in understanding. He knew that Fuanus were still being discriminated against by humans. While Fuanus are making progress towards the future, humans were still holding themselves back with stagnation.

Logan: "I understand. So, Ruby, what are your thoughts of Fuanus?" Logan asked Ruby as he pulled his wing away from her.

Ruby: "Well, I think that they are misunderstood. I mean, there are human criminals as well as Fuanus ones. There are always gonna be bad guys and there will always be good guys." Ruby said some what annoied that Logan took his wing back. "Anyway, what are they made of? It's so soft, yet hard!~ Ah. Sorry, I meant your wings." Ruby said as she went into gun nut mode.

Logan: "Your fine, Ruby. As for what my wings are made of.... Actually, I don't think you should know." Logan stopped himself and glanced at Tai and Summer. "The two of you should get their blessing first." Logan then gestured to their parents. Both Tai and Summer understood what he meant.

Qrow then decided to make his appearance. Walking outside with a barrito in hand and chewing, the first thing Qrow noticed was that Logan had his wings out and both Tai and Summer were off. Walking up beside them, he followed their line of sight as he figured out what they were staring at.

Qrow: "I'm guessing you two saw his back?" Qrow whispered to them as Ruby and Yand were complaining to Logan. "Surprising isn't?" He asked as he was eating his barrito

Summer: "Qrow! Surprising is an understatement! His back was filled with scars! What happened to him!?" Summer managed to yell at Qrow without raising her voice above a whisper. "It looks like he was mualed by an 'Ursa'!"

Tai: "Was he involved with 'THAT' mission from Ozpin?" Tai asked in a whisper.H

Qrow: "Yes, and he found 'THAT' first before anyone else. He then had to watch as a group of hunters, who found him, charge in. Unable to watch anymore them fight alone, he jumped in to help out. 'THAT' took his real wings, and as it took two lives of the hunters. He then descovered his semblance, ash. With his semblace, he managed to distract it long enough for what was left of those hunters to finish it off." Qrow told them Logan's story as he finished off his barrito. "He showed me the battlefield. There were at least 300 and 'THAT'. I got their discription form Logan, so far we only know what they look like and that they go by their weapon's names. And that they have a moto: 'We work in the Dark to serve the Light'. Anything else comes up empty." Qrow finishes.

Tai and Summer start to looked at Logan in a new light after hearing what he had done. As they we're lost in their own thoughts, Ruby and Yang came running up to them. Despertely asking for their permission to hear what Logan's wings were made of. Tai and Summer shared a looked, debating if they should or not, that was untill Qrow did it for them.

Qrow: "Girls. I know what there made of. And before you ask me, I have to ask you two a question." Qrow started off, drawing the attention of the two girls. "Are you sure you want to become Huntresses?"
