Chapter 2:Mike the Butler

After solving all the puzzles on the table, Lynn felt the stare that was directed at her and raised her head to see the little boy looking at her with shining eyes.

Lynn couldn't help but feel shy.

Luke noticed her and his face went red, but he no longer showed any indifference like before, and even though his face still held no expression, the air became much warmer.

"I like these," Lynn said for the first time after arriving in the room.

Luke gave her a small nod.

These puzzles may look easy, but they are not; they were just placed here, but no one who came here before actually played with them. They were more interested in other toys.Even if someone tried to play with them, they just tried for some time and were unable to solve them, but for Luke, they were easy, and he used to spend a lot of time-solving them, although he can complete them in less than half the time that others would have taken.

But Lynn completed them faster than him.

Downstairs.

Lily was chatting with the others and looked at the time suddenly.

Her eyes got wider.

It's been more than half an hour, but the kids didn't come downstairs yet.

Luke usually leaves the kids to play by themselves and will come downstairs and sit with her.

Maybe he will come down in a bit.

Lily was still betting on it when she saw Luke come outside of his room. 'I thought so'.

Just when Lily thought he was going to come down, she saw something incredible.

Lily saw Luke taking Lynn to his Personal playroom.

Lily quickly shook Amanda, who was having a conversation with the other two and dragged her upstairs.

Amanda was still a little silly as a result of the unexpected situation, but she agreed with Lily while rolling her eyes.

Richard and Blake just stared at each other while shrugging their shoulders.

All four of them have been very close friends since university, so they don't mind this.

Amanda and Lily went to the room to watch them, happy to see both of them were playing.

Lily saw that Amanda was going to say something and quickly held her hand on her mouth and dragged her out of the room.

"What was that?" Amanda asked with an amused smile, looking at Lily.

"No, Let's not disturb them and leave them here for a while. He never spent this much time with anyone else before, I am scared we'll spoil the room if I talk to them."

"Okay okay, even though lily is not very fond of strangers, she can still easily mingle with others," said Amanda, and both of them went down to discuss their kids.

"Come with me," Luke said.

"Okay."

Luke took Lynn out of that room, and soon they arrived in another room.

As soon as the door opened, Lynn saw that half the room was filled with puzzles, some of them even had 1000 pieces. Another half of the room was filled with robots and metal things, it looked like some kind of workshop.

Luke took Lynn to the table, which comes to their waist, so it was easier to construct puzzles for the kids.

"Sit here, I'll get something," Luke said as he approached a cupboard to retrieve a box.

He brought the box to the table and turned it upside down, all the small pieces were spread on the table.

"Wow!" Lynn cried out.

"Would you like to solve this together?" Luke asked.

This was a hundred-piece Puzzle and the interesting thing was that this puzzle had the image on the front and back. It was very difficult to solve, and only a very few people in the world had been able to do so before.

"Yes, Let's do it," replied Lynn.

They both sat for two hours straight to finish these.

After completing the work, Luke and Lynn became much closer and were having little conversations.

"I have more of these in my room," Luke said.

Luke went to the wall where there was a screen and typed in something, and soon it got connected to the butler.

"Mike, Can you bring the puzzles in my room to my playroom?" said Luke.

Mike didn't change his expression, but his heart felt the shock. It was the first time in five years that his young master asked someone to bring these puzzles to his personal playroom. Usually, these puzzles are his favorites, so he never gave them to anyone else before, not even his parents.

The playroom where he usually entertains the guests is just for show, Luke never plays there, It was just for entertaining guests.

Despite the shock, Mike soon sent the puzzles to the playroom personally. Normally, he would have asked another servant to deliver it, but he wanted to see the person who could force his young master to do this, so he went there alone.

Mike reached the playroom and looked at Lynn curiously.

"I have brought the puzzles, young master."

"Keep them on this table," said Luke.

Despite his curiosity, Mike never made a blunder and calmly asked Lynn, "Young miss, do you need anything to eat?".

Lynn looked at Mike and got a warm feeling like she was with her people.

"Yes, can I get some snacks, please?" Lynn said this cutely while tilting her head.

Mike felt like an arrow shot through his heart seeing her cuteness. He couldn't help but feel a lot of goodwill toward the girl. He hadn't seen a child laugh so openly at him in a long time. The only kids he saw every day were two. One is his young master, who only has an indifferent expression on his face like a little ice and another one is still small to know anything.

"Yes. young miss. The desserts will be arriving in a few minutes."

Because of the rush, he didn't even notice he made a blunder for the first time. He didn't even ask his young master if he wants anything and replied to Lynn as if she would go hungry if he is late and rushed out of the room to order the maids to make desserts.

Luke's face couldn't help but have a crack.

Lynn looked at Luke who has shown another expression for the first time and couldn't help but giggle.

Luke didn't mind it and took out a small box from the puzzles that Mike brought and opened it.

The box contains only nine pieces of puzzles. He spent a lot of time on it but was unable to solve this.

He didn't say anything but placed the box before Lynn.

Lynn looked at Luke and then at his red ears, she couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey, that's not nice," Luke replied with a snort.

"I'm sorry," said Lynn, even though she was laughing.

Luke just stood there and said, " Well, you can laugh after you solve this Puzzle."

Lynn stopped laughing and checked out the puzzle.

The box contains a small board and nine pieces consisting of an array of right angles and curved edges, many of which fit together in several combinations.

Now we need to fit all of them together.

Lynn fiddled with it for some time but was unable to solve it, and soon the smile on her face went away and she became serious.

Luke saw this and just let out a small smirk.

He felt like he finally got back at her for laughing at him.

Lynn saw him and couldn't help but puff out her cheeks like a little hamster, and she started using different methods to solve them.

Luke saw this and couldn't help but chuckle, then started to watch her solve them. Most of the methods were what he had tried before.

Both of them were so interested in it that they didn't even hear the knock. The butler didn't hear them say come in and opened the door nervously, carrying the snacks.

He saw the two of them huddling together to solve the puzzle.

When he was about to say something, he saw Luke glancing at him with a ' do not disturb us or you will face consequences' stare.

Luke and Lynn are trying a new method together, and they have solved half of it already.

Luke didn't want the butler to disturb the thought process right now.

Mike couldn't help but feel sad that now he is even getting threatened by a five-year-old.

He silently went to the table under someone's stare and put down the snacks on the table.

"Forgive me young master, but even though you are not hungry, the young lady must be hungry by now," said Mike while giving a small smile to Luke.

Lynn soon got attracted by the smell of desserts and stopped paying attention to the puzzle.

'growl'

A noise was heard in the room.

Luke and Mike looked at Lynn, and Lynn suddenly became embarrassed and clutched her stomach shyly.

Luke gave mike a blaming look, and Mike couldn't help but lament his sad life again. Who was the one that didn't notice the time and played with the guest, forgetting that she may be hungry?

Luke and Mike were having a conversation with their eyes.
