Ruthless Woman

"Freya?" Eder called and made a sign for Patricia to leave. Which she did.

"yes, Mr Eder." she replied softly.

"you don't need to be so formal" he said lazily leaning on the desk.

"how can I help you?" she asked quite softly. Eder was surprised. She was a real contrast to her sister who was cold as ice.

"I was wondering, if you would like to have lunch with me tomorrow. So we can talk and get to know each other more. We are somehow going to be partners" he said. Freya smiled shyly.

"hum… I don't know. I am not sure my sister would like the idea" she rubbed her nape nervously.

"you know.." he started walking towards her and he stopped two steps away from her. "… she doesn't have to know" he spoke in a low seductive voice that made her blush.

"oh y- you want me to lie to her?" Freya did not seem to be enthralled by this idea.

"no, it is not a lie. You just don't tell her anything" he said, then she seemed thoughtful.

"you know what? Just forget about it. It is a stupid idea. You should ask your sister first and if she is okay with it then we will go" he said and walked past her.

"no wait!" she called and he smirked, "by what time do we meet?" she asked. He turned around and gave her his phone.

"dial your number here. I will call you to let you know" she took the phone and put in her number then returned it to him. Eder took back his phone with a grin and then looked into her eyes.

"see you tomorrow beauty" he then walked out of the office. Leaving a bewildered Freya with her devilish smile.

As Eder walked out of the office, he saw Matt leaning on the wall across the office door. He had a leg folded on the wall and he was playing a game on his phone. He did not look up at Eder but he spoke.

"you will regret this" he warned and followed Eder who walked over to the lift. When the lift's door closed Matt finally raised his head from his game which he had lost. "Eder" he called when he noticed that Eder was not in his normal lite mood. "E-" he was cut off when the elevator's door opened and some people entered. They were women. They only kept glancing at Eder and giggling. As soon as they reached the floor, Eder did not wait for the doors to open completely as he stormed out of it.

Matt was perplex to Eder's reaction. The normal Eder would have flirt with this women but now it seemed like he was running away from them. What was happening? Was it because of Freya Quinn? Matt could only follow after him. They went to Eder's own headquarters.

Freya walked out of the office a while later feeling happy. She hoped that he will call her. She went to her car. She sat in and called her friend. Yelia picked on the third ring.

" Hey Freya"

"Yelia. You won't believe what happened to me right now"

"what don't make me wait, please!" Yelia was the curious type.

"Eder Galann. He took my phone number" Freya said with a disbelieving tone. She heard Yelia squeal from the other side of the phone.

"how did it happen? Give me the details" Yelia said.

"wait I will come over and tell you that" Freya said.

"I already can't wait" Yelia said before Freya hanged up. She started her car and drove away.

Matt and Eder reached, Eder's office. Matt sat in the couch while Eder sat on his chair behind his desk. None of them spoke until Eder spoke first,

"so what is new?" Matt did not need anything more to know what Eder was talking about.

"well, that woman is completely out of this world. She doesn't belong to any clan at all. To say she is a rogue. Many rogue hunters came her way but they ended badly. Some Clan asked her to join them but she never agreed. Why? Is a question that only she can answer. Some clan alphas fell for her good looks and try to find ways to convince her to integrate but to no avail. They even threatened her about her sister but those who did are no more alive now. Rumors says that she killed them but no one could prove it. Not even the high forces. She seem to be really meticulous. She brought some clans to fight between each other and she collected their wealth. Today, no clan even want to mess with her. She is the only rogue who no hunter crosses path with"

"what a story" Eder said after a short while of silence.

"Indeed, that woman is just ruthless" Matt shivered

"ruthless woman with the looks of a goddess" Eder mumbled more to himself but Matt heard.

"then a ruthless goddess" Matt concluded. Eder smiled.

"that would define her perfectly. A ruthless goddess" he said dreamily. Then he shook his head to shake off those thoughts. That woman actually is his partner and rival "why do you think she does not want to belong to a clan? And just how did she manage all this" in his life he had heard of her but he never gave much interest to her story. He just knew she was a vampire leading an empire that was rival to his and as weird as it seem they never met before the bidding night, he didn't even see a single picture of her. Now that he did, the only thing he could think about was her. He still couldn't understand why

"like I said earlier, only she can answer this question" Matt replied.

"then I will ask her" Eder said with a smirk.

On her side, Dahlia was also receiving reports about the researches she asked about Eder.

He was a playboy seducer who had left many broken hearts on his way but right now he threw them all away. But he was also ruthless in affairs. That Dahlia already knew but she needed more information. And it was now in front of her eyes.

He was part of the royal clan years ago. But years later he left their with his mother. They lived in another city for a long while until Eder left her. He never contacted again up till today. It is said that he was acquainted with the king and his mother had worked in the royal castle. They left the royal clan when he was ten years old. Their was no other member to his family. Only he and his mother and now he was alone because the woman was far away.

"this will complicate things greatly" she murmured to herself when she was done reading the report.
