Dahlia watched the whole scene without saying anything. She just sipped her wine calmly. After a moment, she decided to talk.

"we are here for business, you remember that right?" she asked him.

"I do" he replied his gaze still fixed on Mr Leni who was throwing glances at Dahlia.

"then you should think about keeping your murderous intent at bay" Eder looked at her finally.

"I want to reap out his eyes" he mumbled drinking more wine. Thankfully, he couldn't get drunk, so Dahlia wasn't worried.

Just then another man came to them.

"Mr Galan" he called. Eder looked up and saw an old man he knew with a young woman he didn't know at his arm, who had her twinkling eyes glued to Eder.

"Mr Arbo" Eder stood up to greet the old man.

"nice to meet you here" Mr Arbo said with a warm smile.

"yes, it been a while indeed. A lot of work I assume"

"yes, always in between one plane and another."

"I understand that work takes a lot of time."

"I am getting old and seriously thinking about abdicating soon, though. My daughter here will take over." the old man gestured to the young woman on his right.

"we haven't met yet" Eder said looking at the woman who gave him an excited smile it was clear that she itched to be introduced to Eder.

"I am Verna Arbo, nice to meet you Mr Galan" she extended her hand to him. Eder extended her hand to shake her hand. However, his hand never reached hers because his arm was suddenly grabbed, by someone, stopping him from shaking her hand. When he looked back he saw that it was Dahlia. She held onto his arm and just gave him an accusing look.

"I am very sorry" Eder told her gently. He had left her alone. He place a hand on her waist and then turned to Mr Arbo. His gesture caused Verna's smile to crack. "Mr Arbo, this is my partner, Dahlia Quinn"

"when you say partner, you mean that you two.." Mr Arbo trailed off leaving a suggestive end. Eder and Dahlia exchanged glances before Eder replied.

"we are the co-owners of a company we are here to represent"

"oh, I see" Mr Arbo said, then Eder turned to Dahlia. "Dahlia this is, Harvey Arbo from the…"

"Arbo consignment group" Dahlia finished.

"and you are the CEO of the Quinn empire" Mr Arbo extended his hand for a shake. He had always seek opportunities to work with this CEO but it was just so hard to have a meeting with this CEO, now he could finally see him in real. And he was surprised that it was a woman. And what woman at that..

"yes, it is me" Dahlia replied.

"I have always wondered the type of person the CEO of that empire was" Harvey said looking at her with admiration.

"well, you have her now before your eyes" while her father was busy discussing with Dahlia, Verna approached Eder.

"Mr Galann, while they speak, would you like to have a drink with me?" Verna asked with a small soft voice and blinking her eyes seductively. Eder had no intention of leaving Dahlia's side, especially not with those sharks around. He might sound childish but he didn't care, this goddess was his alone. So he opened his mouth to gently refuse her offer then he felt his arm being squeezed lightly. He looked down at his arm and found Dahlia's slender fingers wrapped around his arm gripping him possessively. A small smile curved on his lips. He looked up at her face , she gave just narrowed her eyes at him slightly, like giving him a warning, then she glanced at Verna before returning to her discussion with Mr Arbo as if nothing happened. Eder looked back at Verna who was looking at him expectantly.

"I am sorry, I have to introduce my partner to some people"

"oh, okay" she seemed disappointed "then maybe later in the evening" Verna said a seductive smile on her face.

"we have to see some other people" Dahlia said "if you will excuse us" Eder took the cue and led Dahlia away from the father and daughter duo.

"so what do you think of this event so far, do you think we might win this project?"

"trust me, we won't have to deal much with that." she said with confidence. "This is considered a win"Eder bent closer to her face pushing a few strands of her hair away from her gorgeous face.

"oh I trust you" he said looking into her eyes fondly. His gesture was so intimate in the middle of so many people that had their eyes on them, that Dahlia couldn't help but feel heat rise in her face. Why did this man had the power to affect her like this? She wondered though she knew the answer. "I trust our duo. We are a team after all" he said softly. They held each other's gaze and both felt pulled by their gazes.

"Ahem" someone coughed near them braking the spell of the moment. Eder looked at Mr Leni completely displeased. "sorry, am I interrupting something?" he asked, knowing fully well he did.

Eder straightened up and placed his hand on Dahlia's waist possessively.

"yes, I was having a discussion with my partner, Mr Leni" Eder said not making an effort to hide his displeasure.

Mr Leni couldn't help but feel his throat run dry. He had never seen this man being so scary like this. However, he didn't want to loose face before her, so he did his best to keep his face straight. "so if you will excuse us…"

"sorry, actually, I wanted to talk to you Mr Galann." Eder stopped and looked at him with narrowed eyes. What was it that this man had to talk to him about. Eder could already feel it was something fishy "I wanted to introduce you to someone" he added. Eder got even more suspicious.

Mr Leni gestured to someone to come over. Then a blond haired woman with a pretty face and dressed elegantly came over to them with a smile. Eder recognized this woman.
