Doctor Visit

~Alaric~

"AZARIA!" I yelled as her eyes glowed a bright white and she slumped over into my arms. I put her in my lap trying to get through to her " Azaria baby, come back...." I whispered to her a few times trying to rouse her. seeing that my efforts were doing nothing I scooped her up in my arms and linked my Parents.

"We need to talk, meet me at the hospital." 

I sent it out and shut down the connection. I was scared shitless, and I couldn't let them see that, I had to be strong for her. I walked out of my room and began to jog down the stairs and out the door, Luckily the hospital wasn't far and was only about two doors down. I burst into the door "Brandon! I need some help here!" " heard footsteps that weren't moving fast enough! "Hurry it up!" I roared letting my alpha aura out.

" I'm coming!" I heard faster steps coming down from the stairs. "Sorry Alpha I just relive...Oh my! What happened! Hurry brings her back!" I followed him down the hall to one of the private rooms and I sat Azaria at the exam table. He hovered a hand over her body starting from her feet going up. He paused on her head for a moment and looked at me.

" Whatever you did you triggered a magical message. She will be fine, however what does worry me is her magic is unstable. I will need to do more test when she comes to, but she looks on the thin side also. " 

I sighed at his words, and he kept going.

"What I'm picking up is that she has been suppressing her magic or just not using it for a long time and she recently started again. She must take it slow, or she can overload" I looked at him puzzled.

"Why haven't I heard of this before?" he frowned "Its more common in prisoners or slaves and even then, it's still not considered normal.  Its like if a wolf was given wolfsbane long term, if it continues the effects could be permanent" I sighed and started pacing "So what does an overload do?"  he nodded.

"Well, it pretty much makes you sick, extreme exhaustion, fever, chills, headache, and muscle weakness. "

I nodded and stopped pacing for a moment, I looked around and saw a chair and pulled it up next to the table and sat down. I took her hand in mine and placed a kiss on the top of her hand. Brandon sighed.

" She will be ok for now, but she must not overdo it with her magic too soon. I will be back with the stuff to run test to check her health."

I nodded, giving my attention back to my mate. Brandon left the room, and I just Held her hand and prayed.

The words repeated over like a chant, it was fuzzy and jumbled together at first but the more I tried to focus on the sound the clearer it became. I couldn't see, feel, or smell anything, I could only hear the words repeated to me. The voice was familiar.

"Mother?!"

I tried speaking and it worked! The words stopped for a moment.

" Hello my daughter"

my mother's voice said briefly, and the words repeated clearly in her voice again this time like a gentle breeze.

"Mothers love

A ringing sound started in my ears and got louder and louder. It was so loud it was almost painful but luckily the ringing started to fade, and the rest of my senses started to come back to me. I blinked my eyes waiting for my surroundings to come into view and I was in a hospital bed? I don't feel like I got hurt. I looked over feeling pressure on my hand and saw my adorable mate in a chair next to my bed clinging to my hand even in his sleep. I smiled at him and looked around some more. Outside was dark and Al's parents both fell asleep on the couch on the other side of the room. Clear crystal towers were placed around the room, and they had a soft glow to them almost like a candle.  I squeezed my mate's hand, and he startled a bit before realizing it was me awake and he smiled.

"Your back...."

He stood up and cupped my face, he leaned over me pressing his lips to mine. Firm, but gentle, he seemed to be pleading with me, he broke the kiss for only a moment.

"I was so worried...."

and then he descended on me again. His kisses hot and needy, his fingers dug into my hair, and I returned his affection. I was scared too, so much was happening, and I seemed as though things had just begun. Finally, he pulled back and just sat his forehead against mine and held onto my face like I would disappear if he wasn't holding onto me. 

"I'm here, I'm not going anywhere." 

I whispered to him. I scooted over in the bed and patted it for him to lay next to me. It was small but I didn't want to sleep without him, and I felt drained and tired. I snuggled into him fitting into his side like I was made to be there.

"My mother left me a message." 

I squeezed out before I yawned.

" Is there a pen and paper? or does anyone have a cell phone?" 

Al took out his phone and handed it to me pulling up a notepad app. I typed out the incantation and saved it, yawning again " I think I need to rest now....my body is tired..." I kept my voice low a bit drowsy from the magic going through my body " Thank you for taking care of me, it means a lot to me" his chest vibrated with his chuckle.

" Well, you're stuck with me now, I think you have grown on me" I smiled and laughed lightly snuggling into him more letting sleep take me under.
