Chapter 25:- Hunting Zombies in Night [II], 100,000+ kills

The whole world was shrouded in darkness. The storm had bought heavy rain and cold wind with it. Every survivor on earth was living a nightmare. These days it had become common for some men or women to have a mental breakdown and commit suicide to escape this nightmare. The number of people who had committed suicide is above one hundred thousand. Some humans were just born afraid. In face of billions of zombies, countless mutant animals, and harsh living conditions, some choose the most difficult yet the easiest ways which was to just die.

However, not every human was just willing to give up. Even though they lost their families. Even though they watched as their parents and their loved ones get turned into zombies, they did not lose hope. Instead, the majority of humans did everything in their power to live. In the face of despair to survive, some humans did not even hesitate to sacrifice the people close to them. A mother abandoned her child, a husband abandoned a wife, a brother abandoned his sister, and best friends did not hesitate to push each other to survive.

There are also some people who fought like brave warriors. They steeled their hearts. Picked up their weapons and went on to fight whatever stood in their way. Two of those brave warriors were Aditya and the goddess Freya.

Right now, while all the survivors were sleeping or resting, Aditya and Freya were fighting almost an endless looking like a horde of zombies. Beside Aditya, there were a 10 meters giant black skeleton of a bird, a black monkey that had no hair on its body, and a black human skeleton that was carrying a black sword.

It has been a few minutes Since Aditya and his undeads started fighting with the intention of wiping out this horde of zombies. Right now behind them, the roads were filled with thousands of zombie corpses. Blood had mixed with the rainwater and had turned the rainwater red. There wasn't even a single part of this road which hasn't been stained with blood.

Booom!

"I have been wanting to use this technique for a while now." Suddenly hundreds of tentacles appeared from the ground surrounding Aditya. The black tentacles which were made from Shadow Manipulation spread in every direction.

Under Freya's confused gaze, the black tentacles started wrapping themselves around the cars, trucks, bikes, cycles, and buses that were standing around them. All these vehicles had been abandoned after everyone turned into zombies.

Soon Aditya lifted hundreds of vehicles at the same time. "You can't be thinking of throwing all these things at the zombies?" Freya did not know why Aditya would do something like this. The more an object weighed, the more mana Aditya needed to spend so that he can lift that object. Freya simply did not see any use in wasting all of his mana right now.

Aditya just smiled before turning to the horde of zombies that showed no signs of stopping. "You will see something very amazing."

"I call this move Barrage of modern vehicles"

One of the zombies stopped charging at the humans feeling something coming from above. Just as it looked up, for a brief second, the sky was covered with various kinds of vehicles. Before the zombie could understand what was happening with its low intelligence, hundreds of vehicles started raining down on the horde of zombies.

Boom!

Booom!

Boooooom!

Continuously, like a broken bell, the sound of an explosion could be heard. More than ten thousands of zombies were instantly either crushed under the heavy vehicle or caught in the explosion and died.

Freya was sure that this sound had definitely woken any human survivor. Freya couldn't help but sigh thinking just how far the humans had come without relying up on Mana. According to Aditya, these vehicles were capable of allowing humans to travel long distances that would take days and weeks to reach by foot.

[Ding! The host has killed a level 2 zombie.]

[Ding! The host has killed a level 3 zombie.]

[Ding! The host has killed a level 2 zombie.]

[Ding! The host has leveled up. All of the host's stats have been increased by one point. The host has obtained 3 free stats points.]

"There seems to be no end of zombies. I wonder if we will fight ourselves to death." Freya joked while dancing in the middle of a horde of zombies. It seems Freya's powers were also something that should not be taken easily. Being the Goddess of war, in Nose mythology, Freya's power was truly something.

Aditya originally was expecting Freya to take a break after a few minutes. But to this surprise, she continued the battle. What surprised him the most was the fact that she managed to keep up with Aditya. On one hand, she manipulated level 2 zombies to kill other zombies while she also used her sword to kill more zombies.

The fight continued for another 10 minutes. It was finally then the horde of zombies that finally showed some signs of decreasing. Another 15 minutes later, Aditya finished off the last remaining zombie and then took a looked around him.

Around him, the streets, the roads, and all the free spaces were filled with dead bodies of zombies. More than 100,000 dead bodies of zombies were lying on the ground. At first, Aditya and Freya assumed that they were going to face somewhere around 50,000 zombies but it turned out they were totally wrong.

As the fight continued, almost 99% of the zombies that roamed in this area gathered to fight. "Fu! Fu! It seems I have made the right choice coming with you. Who would have thought that after fighting for more than 30 minutes, my level would reach level 19." The Goddess of love looked very pleased about the fact that her level had reached 19.

Aditya remembered that both Selene and Freya only needed half of the experience points to level up. While Aditya currently needed to kill more than one hundred thousand level 1 zombie to level up one time, it was very different with Freya. A part of Aditya couldn't help but feel envious.

'In this fight, Shadow has earned a lot of experience points. Though Vulture and Tank did not level up. I somehow managed to level up 2 times. I guess I won't get anything from killing level 1 or level 2 zombies anymore. I will need to fight high-level beings.' Aditya was hoping to level 25 by the time this fight ended. 'I guess I was setting the expectation bar too high.'

"Aditya, it has been more than 50 minutes since we came out. Do you want to continue or head back?" The current world had become a live dungeon. The number of dangers that roamed on earth had reached a new limit.

"The night is still young. I want to continue at least for a few more hours." Freya silently nodded his head.

"Vulture, please fly up to see if you can find any strong beings in this area." Aditya's third undead the mutant vulture flew off to the sky. For some reason, a Vulture can still fly even though it had no wings. Instead of flapping its wings, it now spread its skeleton wings.

"Freya, let's go. We should also look for prey to hunt." The win against more than 100,000 of zombies greatly boosted Aditya's confidence. He now had a general estimation of how powerful he and his team had become.

Meanwhile, around 1500 meters away from the place where Aditya and Freya previously fought. In a 6 story-building, there were 19 survivors. These survivors were the people that lived in this area or were in this area when the apocalypse broke out. All of these people here had managed to survive somehow and ended up here.

It has been almost three days since the group had eaten anything. No one from the group no matter how hungry they were did not dare to go out knowing the dangers that they will have to face.

"We cannot continue like this. Some of us will have to go out and secure food otherwise, every one of you is going to die. Also the more time we spent on hesitation, the lower our stamina would be. And we cannot fight the zombies on low stamina." Said the man who was wearing a military jacket.

"The main question is who is going out to fight the zombies?" One of the men who was sitting in the corner asked with a scared look. The man was trembling as he spoke. The man's question bought silence in the entire house. No one knew what to say or suggest in this situation.

The man wearing the military jacket sighed seeing no one willing to go with him. "It looks like the current time had turned most men into spineless cowards. If no one is willing to go, then I will go out alone."

"I will go with you."
