The bracelet

"Live another life and get away from the boring everyday life, this is what I think since there is nothing to do, to see and to discover," Reim thought

while he watched the usual window from his school desk, surrounded by his classmates happy to have obtained an invitation to a date, to have bought a new game or to have received the best grades. Instead Reim was there always in his usual place. Every day he looked at the blue sky continuing to say these same words. His life was a total monotony, going to school, eating, watching ,reading and sleeping. Every day the same story, nothing that could change that life.

Reim has always been a little talkative boy, thoughtful and astute, bored with everyday life. He was a little taller than his peers, with silver hair and yellow eyes. After the death of his parents in a plane crash, he lived alone rarely checked by a guardian almost entirely absent. He was a curious boy but at the same time tired of what he saw, spent his days reading fantasy books, manga and novels.

But on that same day as he stared at the sky he noticed something strange falling in the school courtyard. He stared at the object for a while. Intrigued by this unusual event, as soon as the bell rang for recreation, he went down the stairs so quickly that he dropped the papers of a girl who was passing in the hallway. Arrived in the courtyard, a large rectangular area that covered the entire right outside of the school. began to look for the object he had seen. He searched for a while, before finding it entangled among the branches of a bush.

"What is this? Maybe a bracelet?" He said

Reim continued to observe it for a while intrigued by those strange incisions he had never seen before. It was a bracelet-like object with a sort of dragon drawn on one side and a wolf on the other. He was mesmerized by that simple little object. Suddenly he felt a light touch on his shoulder that made him jump. It was his professor, a young man just over twenty, who had noticed him wandering around the courtyard.

"What are you doing in the bushes?" said the curious teacher

Reim caught unawares, remained for a while in silence. He did not know what excuse to find.

"I lost something and I was looking for it." he said

He was afraid that the teacher could take that mysterious thing, but in the end he only advised him to go back to class as the recreation was over.

He went back to class, remained silent as usual, but at the same time he did not think of anything else than the bracelet. He couldn't wait to go home and do some research to find out more. At the last hour of class, his thoughts were suddenly swept away by a female voice.

"Wake up human statue! Every day you are immersed in your thoughts you could make friends with someone "

She was her childhood friend. Eline had blond hair and blue blue eyes, she was different from him as if she were her own counterpart. She was a lively girl who liked to make friends with everyone, loved to study and sport.

"As soon as we leave school we go to the mall, I want to buy some things," eline said enthusiastically

"Damn it, I'd like to go home right now but I'm sure he wouldn't let me go away like that,"

Reim thought about it for a while, but eventually agreed to go to the city's largest library.

After leaving school, Reim and Eline headed to the shopping center at great speed while they conversed.

"Let's go to the shoe shops, now I have to throw out the old ones. Where would you like to go?"

"I want to go to the library, I have to do some research" reim said

"All right, but first I want your opinion," eline said with a smile."

The mall was huge for Reim, since he never went around. They calmly went to the shoe shop and Eline slowly chose the most beautiful shoes she could find.

"If you are undecided about what to buy, why don't you take them all," Reim said

Eline looked at him with a confused look but at the same time happy, very rare times Reim said something different and funny from usual"

Out of the shopping center, it was evening. Reim and Eline went to the library, which was three blocks from the shopping center.

Entering the library, Reim found himself disoriented, he did not remember it so great since he had not entered in years. He was fascinated but at the same time terrified by the enormous amount of books he had to read for information.

"I'll stay here a long time, if you're tired you can go home"

"Okay, I'll be back and thank you for keeping me company today,"

Reim began to wander between the different sections of the library, but suddenly he felt the heat coming from his backpack. He leaned on a table and began to pull out his stuff noticing that that the heat came right from the bracelet.

He was intrigued but he did not pay attention of it, until he noticed an increase in the heat of the bracelet, as he approached to a section of books in the corner of the library.

"But what section is it? It has no name written on it. Maybe they forgot.

He began to use the bracelet as a metal detector and as soon as he passed it near a large book, the heat increased so much that Reim immediately let go off the grip, making it fall to the ground. He immediately took the book, it was a sort of manuscript with two circumferences in the center of the cover, without title, it seemed very old. Curious, Reim began to browse it slowly.

"A fantasy book but without the author's name, 'The Chronicles of the Continent of Loranel...' Another book about an immagginary world"

He continued to read the book without stopping, even though he was accustomed to reading books like this, that book had something different and fascinating. The hours passed and the librarian who had to close interrupted Reim's deep reading.

"Excuse me, could I borrow this book? I was fascinated by this world being told I'd like to keep it for a while," said Reim in an exalted voice.

"All right, but don't ruin it, I'll take it from you."

Reim took the book and went to his house quickly. It was almost midnight but Reim kept reading without realizing it had not even cooked for himself.

He spent the rest of the weekend reading the book until he noticed something. In one page of the book was represented a bracelet similar to the one he had found but instead of the symbols had legible letters

"Aldm ann Vannal Yurn os Kean Hargar"

Suddenly the book began to levitate in the air leafing through all the pages by itself, the bracelet had automatically stuck on the wrist of the boy, an unreal wind had flooded the room making everything fly away.

"What's going on?! Is what is really happening in the movies?"

suddenly the book stopped and a blue light came out that enveloped it making it disappear from the room.
