Victory

Not long after the hybrid fell down at the front where Francis was, the other hybrids also started to be slain. The bear ones were as last. Yet after a while, also those demonic hybrids were slain. With that all the demonic hybrids were slain not long after they entered the field.

This time the battle happened before the sky got dark. Because of this, there were o major surprises that the demonic beasts could do that would increase the amount of casualties. With that the remaining demonic beasts started to retreat back.

Seeing the demonic beasts retreat, the soldiers on top of the wall started to cheer. Now that the battle was done, everyone could finally sigh out in relief.

As the demonic beasts were flying away, Francis was looking for James. He had a bad feeling inside him. The last time he saw James was, when they got separated by the demonic beasts that attacked them. Now that the battle was over, he could direct all his attention on searching him.

Looking for some time, Francis was not able to find James. He did see Christopher and Warren. As he asked about James, they also became worried. None of them had seen James, which was a bad sign.

Looking around, Francis found a medic working around trying to get the injured back to the infirmary. Going up to him, Francis described James and asked if he had seen him. The medic shook his head and said that he had not encountered anyone like that.

Just as they were about to leave, Francis heard the medic call them back. Apparently another medic had carried someone with similar structure to the infirmary before the demonic hybrids started to make a move.

Hearing those words, Francis and the other two knights followed the medic to the infirmary he had brought the knight in Francis' description.

Looking over the field, it was clear that he had brought many good soldiers together with him to this place. Even though he had lost more than half of the soldiers he came with, he was sure that the remaining would be considered as veterans all over the kingdom. Having such a strong core of soldiers at his command, Gerald could not help himself from forming up a smile.

"Your majesty, why are you so happy?" Gerald heard from his side. Looking towards the direction where the question came from Gerald saw that it was Sir Tobias who was asking this question.

"Look at all these brave soldiers. With their help we defeated the demonic beasts. And now they might be more willing to join my ranks. Imagine an army of thousands with soldiers like them." Gerald replied, not being able to hold his excitement.

Looking back at the field, Gerald shouted out, "My soldiers… No! My brothers! Today we once more proved the power of Graycastle! Ones more we showed the rest what we can do! With your power I am sure that no one can stop us! No one can beat us! For Graycastle!"

With that, a loud cheer came from the rest of the soldiers. Various chants and cheers were shouted, "Long live his majesty!" "Long live The Prince!" "For Graycastle!"

The speech of the prince was so effective, that the surrounding Judgment Army soldiers couldn't even resist themselves from joining in the cheers and celebrations. There was a lively atmosphere on top of the wall.
