Unnamed

"Hey, Ash! Are you ready for today?" Alexi asks with an excited expression.

"Of course but we both need to remember, I'm not Ash, my name is Alexi and you are my cousin Ash, daughter of Ace." I subtly remind her and her smile somehow gets bigger.

"Right, sorry Alexi! You already know pretty much everything that you need to about the social asshats so you should be good there, your roommate won't be one of them though so have fun and maybe actually make a friend? It made it way to easy that the two of us don't talk to people." She has a point, the only friend I have ever made was her and that doesn't count since we're not only family but also connected by prophecy.

"Let's just go, you get off now and I get off in front of the school right?" I say, we are about halfway to the school from the here and it won't be too long of a walk, I used to take a completely different car but we were to nervous for that this morning. We stop and she gets off and starts her walk, once I arrive at the front gate I slip out of the car and the butler grabs me and Alexi- I mean Ash's suitcases. I get my room number and key and have my stuff taken to my room while we wait for 𝒜𝓈𝒽. This is going to take a while to get used to.

Alexi…𝒜𝓈𝒽 POV

Well this walk is longer than I thought when you're by yourself. How is it that I already miss my cousin? It'll be fine though, I'm going to enjoy being Ash for a bit. Although I do feel bad about making him play 𝒜𝓁𝑒𝓍𝒾. My life isn't all that fun with pompous brats everywhere I look.

"Woah, crap!" I turn to see someone losing control of their bike and heading straight for the ditch, shit please don't die! I quickly use a bit of levitation magic and bring her back onto the trail.

"Ouch, at least it's not the mud," she says as she gets up, I really need to work on landings. Her bike is next to her so I go over and help her lift that back up as well.

"Thank you by the way, I know it was you who stopped me. I'm Violet, what's your name?"

As much as my instinct was to say Alexi I held strong, "I'm Ash, pleased to meet you." She for some reason shies away a bit when I introduce myself, I wonder why?

"L-look, thank you for helping me but I'm not part of the same circle as you, I don't say crap like pleased to meet you or anything. I don't act proper either."

Wait… she thought I wanted her to act like one of those idiots? "I honestly would rather you not anyhow. I don't like many of the people in the so called 'circle' you think I'm a part of, it's a common misconception with the way I talk though I think. I'd rather meet genuine people than the asshats in that circle, they only talk to you if they want something."

"Well your different from a first impression, I suppose I should reintroduce myself with my last name included, my name is Violet Valon. I have an older sister who goes to school here as well, I could introduce you later?"

"Sure thing, my full name is Ash Avalon. I could introduce you to my cousin but he's legit the only other person I know here I'm pretty sure," I hope the last name doesn't make her run away.

"Avalon? Whose your cousin?" Yeah she's questioning.

"Alexi, he's a nice guy though. The rumors all come from people who've never even met him." Especially since the real Alexi is me and I'm a girl.

"Well… Fine, but not if anyone from the 'circle' is there." Yay!

We get our room assignments and shockingly we are roommates. Even more shockingly, both her older sister and my cousin are waiting for us in the lobby. 𝒜𝓁𝑒𝓍𝒾 has my suitcase with him and we all head together to our room.

"So, Vi are you gonna introduce me or what?" Vi, that fits her well.

"Fine, this is my older sister Vivian, and Viv, meet my roommate Ash and her cousin Alexi…Avalon." Well that's a new way to introduce someone.

"Alexi Avalon as in the son of Arya Avalon?!" Shit, welcome to my life cuz.

"I… Ash can we please tell them? Like you two clearly already got to meet and have your own opinions. I feel like we need at least one other person who knows." Shit, like fucking bitch shit.

"Fine, the truth is, he's actually Ash Avalon son of Ace Avalon, Arya Avalon's older brother. I'm Alexi Avalon, daughter of Arya Avalon. We switched places when we started school because I desperately wanted a break from everyone around me trying to get a favor or judging me before they even met me." I really fucking hope she doesn't hate me after this.

"And Ash here actually agreed to it?!" Dang Vivian, you really believe I would put him through that?!

"Of course I did, you really think she'd put me through this if I hadn't? Lex isn't that type of person! I was bullied, okay? Everyone always treated me like crap because I was an Avalon but I wasn't next in line and I didn't believe in violence so I didn't fight back! Even my teachers took their anger out on me." Okay, he didn't tell me all that. We didn't see each other a lot during the school year in the past so I didn't know but now, now I'm going to go back there and make sure every single one of those people goes through the same thing they put him through.

"And your sure you could beat them if you tried?" Vivian asks skeptical.

"Ash and I are connected by a prophecy, we are the only two alive who have the powers we do. We both have a dragon, wolf, eagle, vampire, and witch; plus through them we both have all the basic elements as well, we're basically supernatural bombs if we get angered enough." That's never happened before though, it almost did for me the first time I found out Ash had been bullied, I almost killed the kid.

"So, how do we keep you from exploding?" Violet finally speaks.

"Well, it would be helpful for us to find our mates, but until then if one of us starts breaking down call the other, we we have an uncanny ability to calm each other. Other than that if you can't reach us you have to figure out what has them pissed and how to resolve it, 𝒻𝒶𝓈𝓉." Ash stresses the fast only because we now have unlocked our powers to the extent that if we wanted to we could kill someone with something as trivial as a finger snap. Even if it doesn't actually snap.

"So then why do they separate you two so much? I feel like that's probably the stupidest thing to do ever," Violet gives me the strangest look, and honestly I don't know the answer, once my mom said that it was so we learned to control ourselves even when the other wasn't there but even now that we have pretty much locked it down they still don't let us hang out a lot.

"I don't know, at the beginning they said it was so we could learn self control but we have that down, we should be allowed near each other more than we normally are but I think it's more complicated than that. My mom doesn't control as much as we'd like. Not since the reinstatement of the stupid ass council. Like seriously, they are the reason we needed my mom to take over in the first place!"

If it was up to me we would have the people make up a council rather than all of these idiots who only seek power for themselves.

"Wait how old are you? Have you turned seventeen yet?"

"Tomorrow is our birthday, we will be able to recognize our mates after that," Ash replies.

"Oh cool, you have the same birthday?"

"Yeah, down to the second actually. One of the things that make us abnormal."

"It sounds like you have a lot of that but how about we find your rooms so I can go back to mine?" I don't think Vivian is a morning person.

"Viv seriously? I get you want to go back to bed but how do you plan for me to unpack all of this, I helped you when you moved in."

"We'll help, plus we have Robert, our family butler to do all the heavy lifting," in reality Robert is actually my bodyguard but he agreed to help us with anything we need before he gets relived of his duty as he will no longer be aloud on campus.
