That's my brother for ya

Astin, now Krystal, did not make the mistake of carrying her phone or taking a bank card with her.

She was smart enough to withdraw a few thousands and on getting to China, changing the money made them extremely loaded, so that was the money they were going to depend on before they started earning anything.

She trusted Felix enough to let him hold the money. She had plans on buying phones for all three of them the next day. Everything would go well, she hoped.

She laid on her neatly arranged bed and stared at the ceiling for a while. What an unfamiliar ceiling? It was odd but she didn't feel uncomfortable. Everything was great.

She closed her eyes with a smile and finally drifted off to sleep.

They were fortunate to have rented an apartment that had all the facilities working perfectly. Even sheets and quilts were provided for the beds. No need for shopping for that. Well, it was all thanks to money. Money speaks very well.

The next morning, Krystal woke up and soaked in the bathtub in the bathroom and then, she finally realised why the rent was so high.

After bathing, she wore a skirt (all short), a shirt with so many color designs and sneakers.

She didn't know if that was how the dressing went but she was positive, it looked nice. She brushed her hair and wore her brown framed glasses.

"Perfect." She said, nudging the side of her glasses.

Heading down, she met Felix cooking and Quinella setting the table. Then it hit Krystal that she didn't know how to cook.

"Good morning!" Krystal greeted.

"Morning!" They both answered but Felix didn't look back.

"You look so average yet so stunning." Quinella said with a thumbs up.

"Thanks." She said. "It's not like I can hide my charms behind clothes anyway." She chuckled and Felix turned. Indeed he couldn't point her out to be a princess but she has a certain cahrm that was beyond attractive.

Then, his eyes fell on her skirt and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Your high…" he paused and quickly changed the name. "Krystal, you can't wear that out. It's autumn and the weather is chilly." He pointed out.

"He's right." Quinella said and turned Krystal around, moving her by the shoulder towards the room. "Come on up, I'll get you something warmer."

After some time, Quinella came down with Krystal. She didn't add much. She wore a black sweater with the logo hip hop and wore a black hose under her grey coloured miniskirt.

Her sneakers were changed to laced boots. This was a truly a charmer for someone like Krystal and it could also keep out the cold.

Krystal looked at her dressing, it was almost similar to Quinella's but Quinella was wearing a red blouse and black miniskirt with an ebony coloured hose and sneakers but no sweater.

"Where's your sweater?" Krystal asked.

"Me? I don't need a sweater. I don't get cold easily but just in case, I've got a jacket at hand." She pointed at the denim jacket on the sofa.

"I didn't know you bought those." Krystal said, surprised.

"You don't know what I bought!" She chuckled and Krystal nodded.

"True." Her attention wasn't really there when Quinella was picking out the clothes.

She looked at Felix who was dishing out the food. Although he wore an apron, she could see that he wore a black turtleneck sweater and black jeans.

He looked up and met her eyes. She searched deep trying to figure out if that sense of guilt and emptiness was still there but she didn't have time to search deep when he looked away and she sighed.

They all sat down and as she took a bite, the feeling of flying in the air surrounded her.

"Wow Felix, I never thought you were such a great cook!" Krystal exclaimed.

"That's how we see it." He said, eating quietly.

"Where did you get the ingredients and the food?" She asked.

"I went out early to buy them and filled the kitchen. Hope you don't mind." He said.

"Of course not! If you didn't then we'd starve. Good job!" She gave him a thumbs up and kept eating. "You've got to teach me to cook, someday. I'm so envious!" She ate and didn't bother to think about table manners.

She was trying her best to break every rule and act freely. It wasn't easy trying to stop good habits but she was trying.

"What do you think? Should we find a job before registering her in school or vice versa?" Krystal inquired and Felix shook his head.

"There's no need. I already ran around last night and found vacancies in a pastry shop. It's new and needs staff, so I applied for two full time and one part time. Also, there's a school not too far from there. I checked it and found it to be a suitable school for Quin, so we don't really have a problem." He said and shoved a spoonful of rice in his mouth and chewed nonchalantly.

Krystal and Quinella stared at Felix, mouths wide opened. They were shocked at how he was able to get all this done in one night. But it was too much of a surprise. He was Felix after all.

"That's my brother for ya." Quinella exclaimed once they had gained their stance back.

"With the way you work, we're bound to survive." Krystal said and drank water. She was done eating. "So, is the pay good?"

"It's okay. Since it's a new store, the pay isn't that high. Hope you forgive me for taking on a low paid job." He apologised with sincerity yet cold.

"It's alright. Little is better than none." She said. "So what's the name of the pastry shop?" She asked.

"First flight to the sky!" Felix announced.

'What?!' Krystal exclaimed within. She was shocked. 'That's the name of the famous pastry shop that went worldwide. I had a craving for sweet things and was tired of going there but Jude said it was a waste of time. He ordered cakes from there and it was indeed delicious.' She grinned. 'If I'm gonna work there, then the pay's gonna increase ten fold for sure.'

"Are you alright, Krystal? Your mind seems lost." Quinella said bringing Krystal back and she nodded.

"Never felt better." She got up and carried her plate heading for the kitchen.
