Entranced Doting

Noelle gritted her teeth as she rubbed the cloth against the glass window. It had almost been a month since it was cleaned, thus, dirt and dust accumulated and made her temper rise when she noticed that 'someone' is not doing her chores well.

With one last rub, the window soon turned into its sparkling self, and Noelle sighed in satisfaction. She seemed proud of turning such dirty window into something that looked brand new.

However, once she remembered the 'mortal sin' of 'someone', she clenched her hands and looked towards the bed of that 'someone'.

"Amber! Get your ass off the bed, now!"

Noelle, shouting in anger, showed a ferocious expression, only to see that Amber is still laying on her bed, lazily surfing the net on her phone. When the girl noticed her mood, she just rolled her eyes and resumed scrolling her phone.

Strangely, Noelle felt her temper calming down as she observed this girl on the bed.

Even when lazily lying down, this girl has the charm that can make anyone want to pounce on her, man or woman, old or young. Her golden wavy hair stretched down her back, her rosy lips that seemed to smile mischievously like a devil, and her mesmerizing dark purple eyes that seemed to tempt humans to fall to depravity; with features as these, even Noelle who had a temper just now had to calm down to appreciate it.

"Stop staring. You're making me feel shy," Amber, who was still surfing the net, lazily said, not even bothering to act shy.

"Oh. Okay," Noelle blankly answered before she looked away to avoid looking at Amber.

Then, as if remembering her anger, Noelle's eyebrows frowned once more.

Damn! She got charmed again.

Feeling defeated, Noelle just let the matter of cleaning the windows go and went to the shower area to change.

Back in the room, Amber smirked, feeling confident in herself.

Her little fish… is still as cute as ever.

Sitting up the bed, Amber yawned and walked towards her desk. She opened a book to read and solved the assigned problems by the professor that would be discussed tomorrow. Before Noelle remembers her transgression, it's better to finish her homework and make an excuse from the nagging.

As the epitome of laziness and charm, Amber naturally had the capital to be arrogant and proud. After all, she managed to conquer 'perfectionist Noelle's heart.

But… she also knew that it was because her looks fitted Noelle's aesthetics.

Her curly locks fit just right to Noelle's preferences, the closet waist-control also loved holding her thin waist, her confident aura satisfied this human computer goddess, and her quirkiness matches well with Noelle's quick temper. All in all, Amber can just stand there, and Noelle would be staring at her for the whole day if no one interrupted.

Cases like just now is the usual.

Sure enough, Noelle managed to gather the confidence to be angry while showering, and remembered how 'someone' has to be shook hard to be able to wake up in the morning, how 'someone' did not brush her teeth before going to bed last night, how 'someone' did not wash the dishes after eating.

"Noelle~ I don't know how to solve this problem," Amber coquettishly said as she pointed towards a certain problem in the book. Noelle, upon hearing her girlfriend's distress, immediately abandoned the towel and sat smoothly beside Amber, forgetting her anger.

After helping Amber solve the problem, Noelle smiled satisfied. Hmmph! Her brainpower is still the best! Such measly problems are easy to solve!

Then… she remembered her vow to nag at Amber's carelessness.

It seems that… she forgot.

Narrowing her eyes, Noelle cursed in her mind.

Damn! She's angry! So angry! But damn this self of hers that preferred looking at this fox! Even if she laughs like a witch and acts like a devil, she's still so good looking that she wanted to tear off her own hair and bite off an elephant's ass. Damn the aesthetically pleasing fox and this self that gets easily enamored by beauty!

Noticing that Noelle's temper doesn't feel right, Amber switched from her arrogant disposition to an innocent looking kitty, ready to be coquettish.

"Noelle~ I want to eat brownies, the one that's only released by that restaurant every February," Amber embraced Noelle's shoulders and playfully nudged her head into the other's neck, coaxing the goddess who writes down all her mistakes in a book.

Looking at her girlfriend acting like a baby, Noelle sighed inside.

This is her girlfriend, the girlfriend she had been pursuing for so long. Can't hit, can't scold too much, can't ignore. Noelle can only deflate like a balloon and try to reign in her temper.

She obediently ordered the brownies that her girlfriend likes.

From her childhood, Noelle's words are cherished as the law in the family. As the only daughter in generations, her cousins and brothers are as useless as trash in the roadside for their grandparents. Therefore, Noelle grew up to be spoiled and bad-tempered.

Due to her elite upbringing, she did not become a delinquent but became a perfectionist, believing that her ways are the truth. She also has some tendencies to be nitpicky, not satisfied with little details, and nags at her brothers and cousins all the time. She didn't dare stretch her claws towards the habits of her elders, only daring to oppress the males of the same generation that has the lowest status in the family.

As she grew up, the elders saw nothing wrong with it and spoiled her through the roof, but as she entered her adult phase, they became worried about her not finding a good match. Aside from family, who can bear her temper that comes and goes? Anyone who can control or endure their precious baby's temper would be fine and as long as Noelle is satisfied and happy!

So, when Noelle brought back a pretty face who can do nothing but calm down Noelle's overbearing temperament, they all rejoiced and blessed their relationship. They were even eager to invite Amber back to their ancestral mansion and trick her into marriage. Noelle can only try to hold herself back from scowling at her relatives who wanted to kidnap someone back.

Their relationship wasn't that romantic, given Amber's arrogant yet coquettish disposition and Noelle's domineering tendency. Noelle is currently serving as the proud Student Council member of the University in her junior year, a model student and beloved by her professors, raking back achievements and awards. Amber, on the other hand, is a sophomore who can't differentiate left from right in the campus, and always gets lost in between classes. She's the classic of having no sense of direction but has many friends who can guide her to the right class.

It was during one of her 'getting lost' routine when they met, with Noelle undoubtedly becoming smitten by Amber, due to her undisclosed preferences for beauty. From then on, Noelle would pester Amber every two to three days. Every time, Noelle can't hold back from her nitpicky attitude and annoyed the hell out of Amber. It even escalated to Amber's friends complaining to the professors about Noelle's attitude.

Of course, the professors reprimanded Noelle for her outrageous behavior, even confused about why she's bullying a poor freshmen.

"Me? Bullying her? I'm pursuing her."

Shocked. Her adviser can't believe that someone would court someone they like with such a horrible attitude. Sure enough, geniuses have such a unique view of the world.

"Noelle, that's not how you pursue someone. What you're doing will only disgust her. I've listened to the complaints of miss Amber's friends, and they all pointed at you having a sharp tongue who can't even tolerate a mistake. Instead of arousing miss Amber's liking for you, you might even drive her away. You need patience, gentleness, and understanding in order to successfully woo someone," Noelle's adviser is a middle-aged woman who had already seen the world, but this is still the first time she actually saw someone courting others in this manner. She's speechless enough to not form words for a few minutes after Noelle confirmed her liking for Amber.

After digesting this information, she quickly thought of an advice for this young soul. Sure enough, she's still quite worthy of becoming a student's adviser in this prestigious university.

Noelle's brown furrowed, but still reluctantly accepted this advice. She may be a perfectionist but she's no fool. If the other party hates her due to her actions, she won't know where to cry. It's the first time she's been moved like this. She admired beauty before, but never to this extent.

Every time Noelle loses her temper, Amber can just smile sweetly at her and her anger would be gone. Amber may be a hopeless student who managed to get in this prestigious university out of luck, but she's lucky enough to catch this big fish in this ocean of future big shots. Oh, its not just any fish. It's a shark, a top predator.

After a few months of courtship, Noelle finally managed to obtain the love of her beautiful goddess. She moved out of their family mansion within the city to Amber's dormitory near the university. Noelle directly applied for a spacious room just for the two of them, and the two began their cohabitation.

And this precious jewel of the family, who never had to touch a rag since birth, became the housekeeper of their room. Just a week after moving in, Noelle finally lost her patience when she saw just how dirty Amber's side of the room became. She directly set up rules to maintain the cleanliness of their dorm and nagged to Amber about the importance of cleanliness to personal beauty and mental health.

A month of cohabitation made Noelle a professional at cleaning. Three months of cohabitation made her somewhat speechless at her girlfriend's continuous laziness. Half a year of cohabitation made her dejected that she can't change Amber's habits. And a year made her immune to this kind of thing. She can only worry about Amber's grades and hopes she can graduate safely.

Naggings would be the usual in the daily life of the two. The other habitants of the dormitory gossip about Noelle's one-sided quarrel with Amber every day. The couple is famous in the campus as an ill-fitting duo due to the differences in their preferences and habits, and a lot of boys and girls attracted to Amber are waiting for the perfectionist member of the student council to get tired of nagging this pretty student and break up.

But Noelle persisted and remained with Amber. Whenever the couple is at the cafeteria, everyone must be prepared to eat dog food. It's the usual to see Noelle feeding Amber some cookies while she's talking with her friends. Noelle would obediently wipe the traces of the cookies by Amber's lips, and then glare at those peeping at them. Her appearance of guarding her sweetheart earned the blushes of many students who knew about her reputation as cold-hearted.

Amber continued to live her life as Noelle's queen throughout university, living a life worth of envy.

Noelle's doting upon her queen is never ending. Amber is the only person that can make Noelle helpless and willingly surrender. So, when Noelle introduced Amber to the family, the oppressed brothers and cousins all welcomed Amber rather warmly. Whenever they get too oppressed by Noelle, they would run to Amber to ask for help.

Amber would then be coquettish towards her girlfriend and get angry if she got ignored. Noelle would then have to coax her sweetheart.

After graduation, while the couple are on vacation, Amber asked a question that made her curious since they got together.

"Noelle~ what would you do if I ever get ugly? Would you dump me for another woman more beautiful than me?" Amber asked after she took a sip from her coconut juice and lazily laid on the beach benches.

Amber's friends are either playing beach volleyball or swimming in the sea. Only the couple remained on the benches. Noelle responsibly wiped sunscreen on her girlfriend's back.

"Do you think becoming ugly would allow you to escape from me?" Noelle asked, as if it's a matter of fact.

"The moment you agreed to my courtship, you become mine, Amber. Pretty or not, you're mine. It'll be always that way until the day we part for the afterlife," Noelle whispered to her stunned girlfriend, her tone becoming more and more obsessed.

"You're mine, sweetheart. And I'm also yours. That won't change with the disappearance of our outer shells," Noelle traced Amber's lips that parted as Amber focused on the perfectionist in front of her, declaring her sovereignty.

"I love you, and you only," Noelle slowly lowered her head to meet the lips of her sweetheart.

In the middle of a vacation, by the beachside of island that Noelle's family owns, the couple flirted. After the two separated from the kiss, Amber panted as she replied.

"I love you too, darling."
