Once they were inside the cabin, Walter took his attention away from Mike to focus on other things that he needed to do. They would be fine there for the time being so there was no rush in working with the wolf.
The other was likely going to want food before they started talking anyways. Good thing he made sure the place was fully equipped after he had bought it some years ago. He never thought that he would have been using it as much as he had, but it was quite handy.
He could get away with cooking while he texted and made a few calls. The alpha wasn't going to move from the doorway, he already knew that the moment that the wolf lay down. He was fine with that. Even if the other could hear the calls he was making, it wasn't like he was going to understand half of the things that he was talking about.
