Rising of the Bow hero

What if in the rising of the shield hero, the bow hero wasn't a total douche?? That would be cool I think. And that's what this story is!!!

Chapter 11

The two arrived at the village and met with Vick and his friends to confirm everything was fine before deciding to head home ahead of everyone.

They rested in their room and Jax sighed angrily. "I didn't even get to use these because they are undead."

[Mythril-lightning Gauntlets

Gauntlets with mythril claws that are also embedded with the core of a lightning monster.

Effects: Agility up (high), Status effect- paralysis, Defence up (low), Attack up (medium)

Currently equipped]

Jax sighed. This was the culmination of his efforts for the last couple of days of work but it didn't matter against undead! The best part was that they would produce lightning in the tips of his fingers to increase his attack and create a paralysis effect on enemies.

Jax also checked his status.

Eventually there was a knock on the door. Jax opened and a soldier invited him to the banquet for defeating the wave.

Jax accepted and asked Liv if she wanted to come. Surprisingly, she said yes! Jax was really concerned that she might assassinate a royal… Then he might be considered an accomplice! He didn't want to be stuck in that gross wet dungeon!

Jax reminded her not to do anything bad because he didn't wanna go to jail and she agreed… begrudgingly.

The two walked to the palace with their cloaks on but the hoods off. Jax had strengthened the illusion spell on Liv's cloak and assured her that no one would notice. The banquet was still a ways away so Jax led Liv to the temple first. The two both asked for a class up and the church, while surprised, quickly agreed.

Jax was faced with many choices. There were even some fighting classes, which should have been impossible for the bow hero… Anyway! He chose to go with a White Magic Archer. White magic encompassed a lot of different types, such as fire, lightning, wind, and light. It was basically the brighter side of the magics, if you could split up magic into light and dark, these would be the light ones.

Meanwhile Liv had taken a nearly opposite path! She became a Black Magic Swordswoman. Black magic was a lot like white magic, only the opposite. It was water, ice, earth, and dark magic. It was the darker side of the different magics.

Jax tried to look into the white and black magic later but didn't find any records of anyone else having these classes.

Anyway! Jax check both of the duo's status and it looked like this now.

Jax was happy with the progress and the two left the church to go to the castle. When they finally arrived they could see the heroes partying like dumbasses when they didn't even do anything.

Liv sighed. "I see you weren't exaggerating."

Jax nodded and grabbed a glass of white wine. "I never lie."

He took a sip and spit it out due to the taste. A bunch of people looked in his direction and he looked behind him like he heard something as well.

Liv pulled up her hood in embarrassment. "You're such a loser."

Jax cleared his throat and took another sip. He quickly gulped it down even though it didn't suit his tastes.

Luckily for Jax another commotion took the attention away from him.

"It was a goddess! She descended from the heavens to help us defeat the waves!" Motoyasu shouted out.

Ren facepalmed. "Like I'm saying! How do you even know it was a girl!? They were wearing a cloak and a hood!"

Motoyasu posed. "A true man can tell it's a woman by even the slightest signs! As I am a true man, I tell you! That was a goddess!"

Liv tried to pull her hood over her head even further. "Does he not realize how insane and creepy he sounds?!" She whispered to Jax.

Jax was too busy laughing to do anything. "Hahahaha! A goddess! HAAHAHAHA!"

He nearly fell over laughing while pointing at Liv. She started smacking him and whispering to shut up.

Eventually it ended up with Jax in a head lock while Liv tried to stop him from laughing.

"Shut up!" She whispered fiercely.

Eventually Jax was able to calm down enough to stop his laughter. Though he was still giggling a little. Especially because he had a premonition for what was about to occur.

Jax could see over Liv's shoulder that everyone was watching them and that one person was approaching them.

Motoyasu arrived directly behind Liv and fell to one knee. The loud sound on his knee guard hitting the floor startled Liv, who was oblivious to his approaching footsteps.

"Oh goddess! Please bestow upon me the honour of seeing your divine face!" Motoyasu proclaimed as if he was preaching to god.

Liv turned around to see a man on one knee begging for her to reveal her face. Then she heard a sound behind her.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Jax laughed even harder than before.

Liv furrowed her brow and kicked backwards. Sending Jax tumbling into the wall 10 feet away, still laughing.

Ren was behind Motoyasu and shocked. "She really was a girl. How is a girl that strong?" He muttered.

Motoyasu looked up at Liv with starry eyes. "My goddess. What must I do for the reward that is laying my eyes upon your beauty?"

Liv was unable to do anything. Unsure of what to do in this situation. Until she felt her hood suddenly fly off of her head, revealing her face.

Jax was behind her and laughing like a maniac as he saw Motoyasu's face light up.

"Heaven! Thou hath not forsaken us! For thou hath graced us with the most beautiful goddess in all thy lands!" He called out to the sky before turning to face Liv once more. "My goddess. What might your name be?"

Jax started crying from laughing too hard as Liv was still speechless.

"Olivia." She said in a daze.

Motoyasu bowed and slammed his head to the ground while praising the lord until Myne stepped in and stopped him. Everyone's gaze was on Liv as the entire hall was shocked speechless by her beauty.

Myne looked panicked and suddenly shouted. "Sir hero! Now is not the time! The Shield devil has taken a slave! I can't believe he would enslave a woman! It must be for his bedroom affairs!"

Motoyasu's attention suddenly shifted to Naofumi's direction. He bowed and apologized for leaving Liv's side but said he had urgent matters to attend to.

Jax was still rolling on the floor laughing when he felt an ominous presence. Liv grabbed him by the ankle and dragged him out of the room. For a few minutes you could hear cries for mercy. Eventually Liv and Jax walked back into the room together. Liv had her hood up and Jax had a severely bruised face.

However, he still had a smile on his face as he said. "Totally worth it."
