05-Intro to power

Aoi felt calm as she meticulously avoids every attack.When the energy balls descend,she evades.When the shadow attacks she directs it to the man,and when the man attacks,she carefully concentrates the descending energy to him.

"She can manipulate energy!"The girl above halts.The Shadow and Hunter jump back.Rykyo and Jaq are in suspense...

"Gotcha!"A stream of energy strikes the girl,causing her to catapult onto the ground,creating a crater.

"Nice!So the water fist is not, in fact martial arts."Rykyo remarks.

"You are half wrong, Rykyo."Jaq smiles."I would argue that the fist is an extension of Tai Chi."

Through the entire battle,Jaq had been observing with his Aura eye,a trait native to vampires.It can pick up energy signitures at any speed and track its movements.Back in the day,it was used to hunt down unexpecting humans.

By calming her nerves,relaxing her muscles and switching off four of her senses,namely,sight,hearing,smell and taste,Aoi can use her sixth sense.Aoi did not possess the ability to feel like every other human because her skin sensory neurons where severely damaged.

After activation,she spreads the limited energy she has at an approximate 70 centimetres radius away from her body.Due to external forces,the energy becomes dense.This is when skill comes into play:When an attack is launched at her,it has to go through her "energy barrier",since it is made of her own energy,she can sense it and with her sixth sense,she can pinpoint it's accurate location.Within her barrier,she can control living energy at the maximum.

Once an attack reaches her barrier,it slows down,like solid hitting water(depending on it's weight,and the depth of the water).

Due to lots of training,she is able to use the swift and elegant movements of Tai Chi and Akido to redirect or dodge attacks.This,combined with her sixth sense and her energy control,makes the unique Flowing fist of the gentle waters.

The difference between Aoi and the girl she fought was that the girl's energy barrier spreads kilometres wide,as compared to hers which is a mere 70 centimetres.Due to this,the girl can use a maximum output of her energy blasts and once they hit,it will be at an intended force.If Aoi were to throw out a blast,it would be way weaker than when it started out,and since Aoi has little energy,it would do little to no damage.

So how did the girl get struck by the beam?

Simple,Aoi gathered small bits of energy everytime the girl blasted it,she would throw it back but intentionally miss so that it goes above her.Since the girl is in her own energy barrier,she cannot sense her own energy.Aoi then let the force of gravity do it's thing;When the energy got heavy,it descended,striking the unsuspecting girl.

Now,she lies in the crater...
