Chapter 50

With Kuromaru...

He was falling and when his feet landed on solid ground with a thud, he inspected his surrounding. He was in a large underground cave that was illuminated by luminous blue mushrooms.

The cave also seemed to have Inhabitants.

'' You guys are very ugly. '' Kuromaru commented. There were lots and lots of short green-skinned creatures. They had a body of a young child, with bald and ugly faces. Most were wearing rags, some had decent armour and weapons.

They were goblins.

One of the Goblins noticed Kuromaru and shrieked, alerting every one of it's green-skined brothers, that there was an intruder.

They all grabbed their weapons, those grabbed weapons like a daggers, swords and spears charged straight towards Kuromaru, while the archers readied their bows. And as the Goblins were approaching him at a dangerously close distance, Kuromaru went to his Minotaur form and stood in his fighting stance.

'' It seems you are all eager to die. '' Kuromaru cracked his neck.

Kuromaru vanished from sight, as he went straight at the horde with such speed that only a black blur could be seen impaling any unlucky goblin who was in his path of destruction.

There were five dead goblins impaled by his horn.

[ 5x Goblins has been slain ]

[ 50 EXP has been rewarded ]

'' So this is what it feels like to have experience entering through one's body. '' Kuromaru said basking on the felling of receiving experience.

The archers let loose a volley of Arrows, as Kuromaru saw the incoming arrows, he took out the dead Goblins on his horn and used them as shields. After that he threw the dead bodies at the Archers.

Kill the goblin scouts before they alert the entire horde.

'' RARRRHHHH!!! '' Kuromaru roared, activating the skill '' War cry ''. This skill has a special ability to force the enemy with in a 10 meter range to attack him.

The Goblins once again began to charge towards him. As they came closer and closer, he used his skill: Restriction.

A ball of water materialized in his hand, and he threw it at a random goblin. The ball of water morphed into a spear, which flew straight towards it impaling it and the ones behind it.

' I thought the skill will slow their movements not impale them. But at it helped. '

'' Power charge. '' Kuromaru charged to the horde of goblins. Those unlucky enough to be in his path was impaled by his horn.

Another volley of arrows came raining down at him. He repeated his previous stratergy, picking up a dead goblin corpse and used it as a shield, then throwing it at the archers.

This stratergy was repeated a few more times, until he saw three goblins sneaking off from the group and was heading towards a tunnel.

' Those are the scouts!!! '

Kuromaru picked a fist size stone and threw it at one of the scouts.

The unlucky scout didn't even saw its death comming, as the stone struck it's skull completely destroying it.

The two other scouts, flinched at the bloody death of their brother. They increased their pace and were sprinting towards the tunnel.

Kuromaru took another fist size stone, aiming at the other scout. But an arrow struck his shoulder, causing him to miss. The goblin who shot him began to giggle with glee.

'' DIE!!! '' Kuromaru took a rusted sword from the ground and threw it at the the annoying archer. The sword was embedded at the Goblin's face, killing it instantly

He took two more rusted swords from the ground, and threw them at the last two scouts.

One of the sword struck at the scout's neck, instantly killing it. The other struck at the other scout's leg and it crashed to to the ground. Despite that, it continued to crawl towards the tunnel.

'' Shit! '' Kuromaru cursed. He ran towards the last scout, but an arrow to his knee sent him craahing to the ground.

He tried to get up, but the goblins on seeing such a good opportunity, they went offensive. They ganged up on him, keeping him at the ground as they used their weapons to hack and slash his body.

The scout smirked and crawled inside the tunnel.

[ You have the Quest ]

[ The Goblin Horde will arrive in 5 minutes ]

'' FUCK!!! '' Kuromaru roared as he encased his body in Aura armour.

[ Title passive has been activated ]

Spikes erupted from his armour, impaling all the goblins, killing them all.

He got up to his feet, his body bloodied after the abuse he endured.

Channeling his Aura to heal his wounds, he waited for the goblins to come out from the tunnel. His Aura was depleting at a very alarming rate. He need to regenerate his Aura and that to fast.

[ The Goblin Horde will arrive in 3 minutes. ]

He scanned his surroundings, seeing the goblin corpses, he knew what he had to do.

He took a dead goblin, and began to eat it.

'' It's taste is more worse than those chakra rats. '' He complained. As his stomach was getting more and more full, he can feel his Aura rising steadily.

[ Goblin DNA detected ]

[ 3 Evolution points have been rewarded ]

'' What ? '' Kuromaru said in shock.

[ Evolution points is full. You can now evolve ]

[ Choose an evolution path : ]

• Mutated Minotaur: A breed of Minotaurs that are feared for the very high damage output.

{ New Passive: Adds 5 points of Strength and Agility after each time the host levels up.}

• Oni : A race of demons known for their absurd defense and insane healing factor.

{ New Passive: Adds 10 points of Dexterity, Healing factor increased by 20% and increases max HP by 200 points every time the host levels up.}.

Kuromaru had always wanted to be a shield, a spiked shield. A shield that would defend Naruto and his Family, from any threat that dares to harm them. But what use does a shield have, if it could not endure the punishment done by the enemies.

So, he choose to evolve to an Oni.

[ Host has chosen to evolve to and Oni ]

Suddenly, a painful headache came to Kuromaru making him groan in pain. Then his body began to morph, the process was a very painful one.

His body began to shrink, his muscles were also shrinking, becoming more compact. All the hair in his body began to fall off except for the hair in his head, his face becoming more human like. During the whole process, he endured all the pain of rapid evolution.

His evolution then ended, after painting for a few moments, he stood up, but he was Naked.

That did not stop him from feeling ecstatic. He felt as if he could fight for a week straight and not feel tired at all.

He checked his body and his face. The scars that he accumulated were still there. He had a light tanned skin, his hair was black, his body still too muscular for a twelve year old, and his height seemed to be about 6'8 or 6'9, but he is not so sure.

His horn was still attached to his temple, which he sigh in relief. He would have freaked out, if his horn was gone.

He looked down, and saw a disturbing sight. He saw his manhood, '' Was it always this big ? ''

[ The Goblin Horde will arrive in 2 minutes. ]

'' I got no time to loose. '' Kuromaru, took a pair of boxers like pants from a dead goblin and wore it. It fitted like a glove. Kuromaru took out the collar that was on his neck and tied it on his waist.

You must be wandering where this collar came from. It was actually Kuromaru's idea that him, Akio and akira should wear collars that had storage scrolls attached to it. So that they can store their weapons, and some important stuff.

Most of the goblins turned into ash leaving some good loot behind.

He stored the potions in his storage scrolls, while he equiped the weapons, arming himself.

'' Let's get this party started! '' Kuromaru banged the shield with the claymore.

[ The Goblin horde will arrive in 5 seconds ]

The numbers counted down, and when it became zero, a large number of Goblins came from the tunnel, charging straight towards him.

Survive and kill all the goblins comming from the tunnel.

This brought a huge smile on his face. '' Now this is what I'm talking about ! ''

'' Time to get serious! '' Kuromaru formed a ram hand sign, '' Shadow clone Jutsu ! ''

Five Shadow clones appeared, '' Looks like five is still my limit. '' Kuromaru sigh, '' Well, let's KILL BOYS !!! ''

'' RARRRHHHH!!! All the shadow clones used War cry, drawing the attention of the Goblins. The clones along with the original, charged towards the horde.

The result was inevitable, the horde was defeated.

But it was not an easy one. Kuromaru had used all of the potions he had just to survive this long.

'' I wish I had First brother's stamina and his combat tactics. '' Kuromaru was panting for air, he had fought for almost an hour, without any rest. '' He could simply killed them all with just his clones. ''

Kuromaru with all the goblins he killed and along with his Quest reward, had recieved enough EXP to level up gour times.

[ New Title recieved: ]

Goblin Slayer: Host will deal 70% more damage to any goblin enemies and 30% more damage to any evolved goblin species.

'' Now what about this reward with the three Question mark. '' As soon as Kuromaru said these words, cracks surfaced on the wall of the caves, the cracks grew bigger, forming a tunnel.

[ Unknown reward obtained. Please enter the tunnel ]

'' Ok. '' Kuromaru said not so sure if he should go there.

He hesitantly entered the tunnel, it was dark and it smells like rotting bodies.

As he approached the end of a tunnel, a bright light blinded his sight. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw what was infront of him.

Infront of him, was a flight of stairs. And on top of it, was a throne like structure, on it sat a corpse wearing rusted black armour. Beside it were two weapons embedded to the floor. First was a menacing looking war hammer on his right hand and an equally menacing war axe on his left.

[ Choose one of the weapons ]

'' Huh, you mean I can take those cool looking weapons? ''

[ Yes, but you can take only one for now ]

Kuromaru was very happy, all those years he wanted a weapon that suits his fighting style, but no weapon interest him. He wanted weapons that was heavy but should not be a sword, a club would be fine, but he felt they were the right weapons. Now Infront of him, were two cool loking weapons. He felt that they would be perfect for him. But he could not choose which one to take. The War hammer could demolish anything in its path and the War axe could turn anything to a bloody mess.

'' I'm gonna take both. '' After a serious thank, he decided to take both of them.

He grabbed the pole of War hammer, and yanked it out from the floor.

[ Nameless War hammer has been obtained ]

The War hammer it was dark in colour, but the coolest thing about the war hammer, is that it had a skull face on both sides of the Hammer head.

He then proceeded, to take the War axe next.

[ Please do not take the other weapon ] The system said.

'' Whats wrong with it, if I take both of them. '' Kuromaru said, '' Think logically.. This corpse has need for these weapons any more. So let's put them into some good use. ''

[ Please do not take the other weapon ] The system repeated.

But Kuromaru ignored, the system threat, as he grabbed the pole of the War axe. The corpse kicked Kuromaru from the chest. He didn't manage to hold the Battle axe properly, as it still remained embedded on the floor.

'' You got to be kidding me ! '' Kuromaru was really annoyed.
