Liuming cursed her luck.
What the fuck, why was Liuming against this demonic cultivator!?
Beads of sweat dropped Liuming's forehead. She may try to hide her fear, but her rattled expression betrayed her.
A few distance apart, Luqing chuckled at how nervous the redhead was.
"Relax. Xiaoyu requested for me to go easy on you."
"She did!?" (Thank the heavens! I won't have to worry about being beat up in front of thousands of people like Lin!) It was gracious of the hidden master to look out for her safety!
"Yes. Now come at me." Luqing didn't even take her stance as she invited.
From the storage ring on her left finger, Liuming unsheathed her Jian sword.
The confident Liuming dashed forward.
A few moments later…
Luqing's fist was embedded into Liuming's stomach, making her lurch forward in agony.
"I…I...thought you were going to go easy on me?" Liuming's face contorted into a mix of pain and surprise.
"I AM going easy on you." Luqing nonchalantly declared.
The searing pain in Liuming's stomach would say otherwise.
To further show how lenient Luqing was, she gave a side kick that crashed Liuming's chest.
It was a kick so magnanimous that Liuming flew outside of the ring.
The match might have been short, but crowd still cheered for someone getting sent flying by a single kick was a timeless form of entertainment.
"AAAAAAND THE WINNER, LUQING FROM THE TRANSIENT BLADES!"
The announcer's voice rippled across the entire arena via his voice qi. Ending the match with Tranquil Waterfalls into a complete 3-0 sweep.

Up in the spectator seats, Xiao shook her head at the outcome.
<<Were you disappointed that Luqing hurt your precious Liuming?>>
"Yes…I mean, no! I only warned Luqing to take it easy on her because she might kill her and get us disqualified!"
<< Say no more. I definitely believe you. >>
What was her master insisting on? That Xiao liked the person that got her kicked out from her old sect?
"You don't sound convinced, master. I would like to remind you that I hate Liuming for what she did to me. I am merely biding my time for my revenge.'
<<Even after you witnessed how passionately she made love to your image?>>
Xiao' cheeks became redder than a tomato, her heart started to thrum at the fresh memory of the proudful Liuming, submissive and bucking under her Mannequin's touch. How glistening Liuming's naked pale skin appeared to be from its caress.
No! Xiao purged the thoughts from her mind. Xiao will see her revenge through. Xiao had already planted the seeds, soon Xiao would harvest her sweet vengeance.
"I…she must pay for what she did!" To imply that Xiao wasn't having the conversation about Liuming anymore, she abruptly stood from her seat and returned to their waiting room.
Zhen's spectral lips formed a smirk.

Soon, the next matches were announced. They were up against the sect's bitter rivals, the Northern Vanguards.
To humiliate his opponent, Fang Xuan never once drew his Bagua dao. He wanted it to be made known that the thug dressed in a sect uniform wasn't worthy.
The man missing a hand, Guyan, whose grudge motivated him to train so he could shame Fang Xuan in the tournament, is now being turned into a training post as fists furiously slammed all over his upper body.
Not once did Guyan able to land a blow on him. And to further shame the Northern Vanguards, Fang Xuan would hit their disciple where it hurts the most.
Using his earth qi, Fang Xuan's left foot slammed into the arena. Ejecting a small pillar of earth that rammed into Guyan's nethers, crushing his nuts.
Guyan squealed at his precious jewels being squashed. With haste, both of his hands instinctively covered his already injured lower part.
Satisfied with how he turned his opponent into a complete spectacle. Fang Xuan braced his right first for a punch.
"This is for all the times you have bullied me and the members of our sect!"
Fang Xuan swung a straight into Guyan's jaw, making him spin in the air before landing unconscious into the cold arena floor.
"AAAAAAND THE WINNER! FANG XUAN FROM THE TRANSIENT BLADES!"

Aigou clicked his tongue at how useless Guyan was, he showed promise but when the moment came his drive for revenge appeared to be lacking.
Since they were down 2-0, the match between Elders would be next. Everything hinges on Aigou. Lose and they will be sent home, win and they might just make a comeback victory on their hands.
Xiao and Aigou stepped forth towards the arena. The chance to continue the Northern Vanguard's dream of becoming the strongest and most renowned sect now rests on his shoulder.
Unfortunately, the masked woman's smirk hinted that she would shatter that dream with glee, and with Xiao's help, it is the Transient Blade's wish of their sect achieving glory once more that will come out on top.
"Let us talk first. Drop the match and we will split the spirit stone winnings by half." Aigou offered.
"Why will I settle for half when I can have it all?"
"You will regret this, Xiao. It is unwise to make an enemy of the Northern Vanguards."
Under her mask, Xiao's forehead furled in annoyance. He would dare threaten her in a tournament done in good faith between the sects!?
"You dare threaten me!?"
Aigou would go all out from the start. From Aigou's behind rose a tidal wave, a natural disaster commanded by Aigou's water qi.
The wave was high enough to drown Xiao, rendering her helpless as she struggles after being swallowed by such a mighty wave.
"It isn't a dare, it's a warning, a warning you are too stupid to heed. Hyaaaah!" Aigou pushed his hands forward, sending the massive wave to decimate his foe.
Aigou haughtily grinned as his tidal wave eclipsed the entire half of the arena. He lost sight of Xiao, but she would surely be left with no other actions other than to be wallowing helplessly inside of his attack.
A haughty grin that was wiped out in a split second, for that was how long it took for the entirety of his tidal wave to freeze over.
The air was pregnant with an icy chill as the frozen tidal wave had everyone in awe at its beauty.
Xiao's retaliation sent shivers down Aigou's spine in more ways than one. Unless she has higher cultivation than him, she shouldn't be able to freeze a body of water that big in a snap!
The tidal wave shattered, covering the arena in an icy fog.
Aigou braced for any incoming attack, only for it to come from his open back. Four ice swords flew, impaling both his arms and legs
As Xiao willed it, the ice dispersed to reveal to the crowd the form of the incapacitated Aigou, ice swords jutting out from his limbs.
"AAAAAND THE WINNER, XIAO FROM THE TRANSIENT BLADES!"
With a smile, Xiao cupped her hands, not to her opponent but to the roaring spectators.

"Those ice blades, it is the [Heaven's Ice Armory]. There is no mistaking it now." Queuyie glared at Bao sitting next to him. "Why did you not report this to his Majesty!?"
"Well, like you two, it is the first time I've seen Zhen and her vessel. I cannot report things I have no knowledge of, can I?"
Bao merely shrugged off his comrade's death glare. He had known of Zhen's visit on that fateful night, and honestly, just because he was working with the Phoenix King it doesn't mean he would starve himself of entertainment. Bao was sure even HE would understand the benefits of letting Zhen live. It would be a glorious moment once Zhen had taken over the girl's body and clashed against all 12 of her former seat members.
Queuyie wasn't having his bullshit. She guessed Bao was merely covering for his old friend. The silver haired woman stood from her seat.
"And where do you think you're going?" Bao asked.
"To retrieve my master, where else?"
"Our new member is about to fight next, remember his Majesty's orders. At least have the decency to wait until the tournament is over before you head out on a rampage?"
Queuyie remained seated. Her eyes locked on to the masked woman below. Soon, her master's soul would return where it rightfully belongs, back at the heaven's court. It is an affront for her old master to be attached to such a weakling.
