Bam!!
Right at that moment, the front doors of the office hall suddenly opened, and something came in with a bang.
It was a man covered with blood.
"Argh! Ahhhhh! Help me please!"
Blood gushed out of the man's body spraying everywhere.
A small green-skinned creature recklessly pushed its deadly weapon into the man's back, grabbing his hair with its other hand.
Kiie! Kii! Kie!!
The blade stabbed through the man's neck. He tried to resist the attack by all means, but the man staggered hopelessly.
"Oh my God!"
"What is that!?"
"Argh!"
The hall turned into a mess all of a sudden. Terrified by the scene, all the employees began fleeing towards the back exit of the hall, pushing and shoving the desks in an attempt to escape.
The man finally collapsed before everyone.
Watching, Aidan held his breath watching silently.
"Dang it…"
As Aidan was sitting in the back, he could hardly believe what was happening.
The green monster cry echoed over the man's corpse. Then it turned its head quickly, rolling its piercing eyes, It was looking for its next victim.
The hall was in chaos. Everybody fixed their eyes on the goblin. Where did it come from?
Aidan couldn't grasp the situation, but he was still bothered by the last news report.
Cautiously standing up he looked at the creature anxiously remembering his first encounter. Aidan was now the closest person to the green goblin.
Aidan recalled the man who was momentarily just stabbed by the goblin but he decided to stand rather than flee as he knew what they were capable of.
"Find a way out and escape"
'I'm done for if I show my back to that monster!'
Unable to hesitate any longer he pulled the sword out of his case.
The child-like monster which was no taller than a kindergartener stood before him.
The monster hysterically stood up laughing and smiling at Aidan, while covered in blood.
"Damn it! How the hell am I going to defeat those things?"
Thought to himself as countless employees stood there motionless.
A question that he desperately needed an answer to immediately. The emotions displayed on his face completely changed when he stood up. He didn't know how he would fare against this creature with his sword but at least he had something. The blade glimmered as he pulled it out from the case.
"A sword? Why do you have a sword?" asked Calvin.
"That doesn't matter," said Aidan as he pointed at the goblin, "Find a weapon."
"Why?" Calvin hesitated to ask.
" Scared, he realized and stood up to find a metal baseball bat in his office.
Dread filled Aidan's eyes. "Cover me, If anything happens"
What do you mean cover-" before he could finish his sentence Aidan cut him off.
With his speed, Aidan reached the goblin in mere moments. A remarkable feat he could only accomplish after leveling his status up.
"Die, you bastard! 4 points into agility!" He shouted
Bam!
The monster came close right up to his face, stretching the same knife he just killed the man before but it could not do anything when facing Aidan who poured all his stats into agility!.
Struck hard, the sword cut the knife in the creature's hand, cutting its head off. At first glance, it was killed on the spot before falling to the ground.
"Haah…"
Breathing out roughly, Aidan stepped back. Looking back, the scared employees watching him, along with Calvin.
"Goblins? No way!"
The little green monster was like the low-level 'goblins' that often appeared in games. Although he could not figure how they got here, it was clear that the world around him began to transform into a game.
Grrrr..! At that moment, two red-furred wolves appeared through the front door.
"Another two appeared!" Shouted a female employee
"This time there are two wolves!" Another young man shouted at everyone.
While the hall was chaotic with the stunned employees, Aidan nodded at Calvin only to turn his attention back at the two red-furred wolves.
At that moment he prayed for the best outcome. Aidan then lunged towards the red-furred wolves. They were caught off guard as his sword bashed both of them to stumble back by the impact.
Seizing the chance, he sprang out at them and skillfully stabbed the sword in their bellies.
Puk!!
-Novice Swordsmanship has leveled up to level 10
You've leveled up
Aidan ignored the notification, only to search for Calvin.
What was that all about?" Calvin asked. Although he was shocked by the absurd situation like everybody else, Calvin trusted Aidan.
On the other hand, the rest of the employees were full of terror, which was understandable, given that Aidan was now controlling the situation better than everyone else.
But like everybody else there, Aidan couldn't understand the absurd situation either.
"I have no idea, but…" his words drifted while he was concentrating on the noise around him. Then he turned his head outside the window.
While silence reigned in the hall, he could feel that the whole city outside was full of terrors. He could hear horrible explosions and screams outside the window.
"It seems that the same thing is happening throughout the whole city"
"! Why can't I get through to the police station with my cell phone!" shouted a few employees whom Aidan didn't know personally.
As they said, this kind of situation was common in dangerous situations. In other words, all the lines to the police were busy at the moment.
While Aidan thought about the reality, some of the employees with fear began to walk out the front door and ran out.
"We should not stay here. Let's get out of the office!"
Their judgment didn't sit well with Aidan, they were too hasty.
As expected, they began to shout, "Ugh? Ahhh! Let's get out of here!"
They were watching something at the end of the hallway where the monsters screamed and howled.
The wolves now began to run toward them. Although Aidan didn't rush in he kicked the two wolves on the side when they were charging at the employees.
Tangled up together in the hallway, they began to fight fiercely among themselves. While they were pushing and shoving, Aidan began to make a path.
The wolves were on the defensive when it came to numbers.
"Everybody, get out of here, make a break for the emergency staircase!
Running around in confusion, the employees began to disperse in the opposite direction. In a situation like this, only the strong would survive, but it was not good for them to gather up in such a small space.
Besides, Aidan had no obligation to protect them anyway.
'Yeah, they have the right to make their own choice.'
Aidan also agonized over what kind of world would come from this event.
'Right now everything is unclear, but I need to survive.
'This might be a very stupid idea, but perhaps the only way to survive Is to fight against them."
So, Aidan chose to not turn his back on fighting. He could make the bold decision because he had to get out of here safe. If he hadn't awakened his abilities prior he wouldn't have made it this far.
Auuh, grrr!
Calvin couldn't keep his eyes off Aidan between fighting the wolves and him, he couldn't believe the sight he was witnessing.
Bam!
Right at that moment, the last wolf's head was smashed against the wall, causing the wolf to fall to the ground before Aidan's eyes.
DING!
