Chapter 44

With a smile the woman says, "You are to focused on me. I will get that panther."

Laughing Amber moves out the way, "You sure about that. I think you are not focused enough on me."

"How is this possible?"

Without a word Amber brings up pillars of flames. Trying to back up the woman burns herself on bars of flame. Looking behind her the woman screams, "You insufferable brat. I'll show you what it means to not give me what I want."

Shaking her head Amber brings her arms together. With that movement the flame prison shrinks. Turning around Amber raises an arm and a flame shield rises behind Draemre.

Hitting the flame shield the ice spike instantly sublimates or in other words turns from ice into steam. "Do you realize that you're about to kill me?"

Laughing in response, "You wanted to capture my panther. Then attacked me. I can realize that this is no spar. This is a downright battle to the death at this point. You didn't want to take the opportunity I gave for you to escape," Amber smiles.

"You gave no opportunity at all, you little bitch," the woman snarls.

"If that's what you believe," Amber shrugs her shoulders.

A few minutes later the flames vanish from around Amber. Where the woman used to be is a pile of ashes. Walking to Draemre she looks around. Seeing nothing else she pets him.

Draemre rubs his head against her. Smiling she leads them back to town. Renting a room at the inn, she spends the last of the two days, spending time with Draemre.

Feeding him more monster cores she says, "After the tournament we will have to train your fighting ability before moving on. But we can only spend a little time on that. Oh well, when I finish this training program, we can go have someone train you, I won't have the time to train you after this is over," she finishes with a sigh.

Rubbing against her and curling on her lap he protests. With a chuckle, "Yeah I know, you think someone will try to take you. Don't worry about that. Once I finish this, I should have gained the interest of someone who will only train you for me. I have other things that I have to do once I finish," she pets him.

Two days later she gets up and goes to the tournament. Entering the tournament she sees the three from that day and shakes her head, 'Apparently they are desperate for money. Maybe if they actual had any strength to speak of they wouldn't be so pathetic.'

Upon seeing Amber the three of them sigh and walk the other way. One of them saying, "Why is she even at this town with her skills?"

"We can kiss any hope of winning this month away," the woman says.

"Wait could she be doing the training program, that one group has?"

"No way, she is so young, even if she is doing it, how did she get to the town so fast?"

Walking away Amber sits down on. As she is looking at the arena several large bulky men stand in front of her. "This is no place for a young chick like you," one smiles.

"How about you come back with us before the tournament starts," another winks.

"We can show you what someone of your age should be doing."

Shaking her head, "Piss off you overgrown plushies. No one wants to see those ugly mutts of yours."

Gnashing his teeth one of them says, "Young girl leave its for your own safety."

"What could a girl know anyway," one mocks.

Standing up as she shakes her head, she pushes them to the side and walks on to the arena, "If you want to know so bad come on up."

Landing in the arena the three guys in turn say, "If we win. You will come back with us. Let us entertain you for the night."

Shaking her head she accepts the condition. With malicious smiles they surround her. Raising one arm she swipes in front of her. From her arm comes a gust of mana and miasma that pushes them back.

Being pushed back they put up a mana barrier. Even with their barriers up they get pushed back. With a sigh, "You guys are weak. Can't even get close. How sad and pathetic."

"You should just behave and let us," one starts.

"I don't care what you all have to say anymore," with a clap a blast of mana and miasma goes out and sends them flying out the arena, "You lil kids in a large body don't know how to act."

As she steps out the arena they charge at her. bragging a mana sword she slashes their arms off, "Last warning leave. Me. Alone."

Screaming they roll around on the floor. Shaking her head she goes to sit down. On the other side of the arena she notices a girl wearing a light green tube top. Her pristine snow white hair that the light bounces off of causing a rainbow effect to appear above her head falls over the front of her shoulders.

As the girl turns her head, Amber can see her deep forest green eyes, that emanate a sense of tranquility into the air. Looking at Amber the girl stands up, Amber can see her tight green pants.

With a peaceful smile the girl walks over to Amber. With each step the girl takes a flower seems to bloom. Intrigued by this Amber stands up and walks towards each other. As they approach each other they hear, "All contestants get within an arena. Fights will commence shortly."

Nodding at each other they get into separate arenas. In each arena there are ten people. Looking at those around her Amber is disappointed. Shaking her head she waits for the start of the match to begin.
