Surfacing Emotions

"It feels like I have been out for so long" Santa Claus told Amanda.

He had eaten after waking up the previous day although he still could not grasp why he had felt hungry. The food had been very delicious and he had told her so.

"I will take you to the restaurant when you are discharged, they have the nicest food." Amanda had told him.

She could hardly describe how excited she had been when Aaron had informed her that Santa Claus was fully awake and being attended to by the doctors, he had asked her to wait for him to drive her to the hospital but she had refused and instead taken the bus.

His eyes were open when she had arrived and her heart pounded with more vigor, she did not realize how much she had missed looking into them.

He looked very weak and the confusion in his eyes were justified.

"I know you have a lot of questions and I am going to answer then as soon as you get better." She had told him.
