Chapter 2

"So, he is the dead beat Grandpa" I said as a casual remark.

"He is not dead beat" my mother said

"He kinda is" summer said still on her phone. We are siting around in a table with rick and me on two sides while jerry, summer, Beth, and Morty are sitting on side. 

"My name is Richard, You may not call me rick" I said looking at him.

"I wasn't going too" Rick said with I could not give a fuck look. "Nice toys though, What are you a child?" 

"Yes, I am and I am more successful than you" I said not paying attention.

"Say the one who has a guns for weapons, you know what I have laser beams more than enough to kill you ass." He said with narrowed eyes.

"Guys, can we just get along?" jerry said 

"Fuck you, I will do what I want" I said, to which jerry said to rick

"Teenagers right?" 

"I agree with him, he will do what the fuck he wants why are you bothering him." Rick said, to which I nodded. 

"Can you not bond over your dad getting rosted? and why are you here dad?" Beth said.

"I need a place crash in, can I stay here" Rick said to Beth to which Beth said

"Sure dad" 

"Are we not suppose to talk about this?" Jerry said 

"For once jerry is right, I say we allow grandpa to stay" I said 

"Well, I vote-" Morty is trying to say.

"I don't care, the voting is over. Grandpa is staying" I cut him off. I love acting like an ass to everyone, it is quit liberating.

{Time skip} 

Rick has moved into the garage, I helped him re-build it. I also learned a few things here and there but the major thing is that I get use his resources to build thing I want. I started on one of the main things in rick and Morty, the government (universal one) was after this.

Today when I am continuing working on this, rick bust into my room.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" I yelled clearly surprised at how he entered. 

"Richard, come with me" He said and practically dragged me into the ship to go somewhere.

"Where are you taking me?" I said, to which he responded 

" I have decided that earth needs a fresh start, so I am going to blow this one up" Rick said in a drunken manner. 

"cool" I said, I sat back and continued to work on my portal gun. I am close to a break through, it was easy since there is already something of that existing and in my sight I could easily make it again but, the real goal is to improve it from what rick has.

"Cool? That's all you got to say. I am destroying your planet Richie, Everything you have know" He exclaimed.

"We can rebuild it, plus from what you told me there are infinite universes and we can just travel to a different one." I said nonchalantly.

"You think it is that easy to travel to a different universe. You know how much energy it would take." Rick said looking at me like I said something crazy.

"OM MY GOD" I exclaimed and said "If you are to give me enough time I can build a portal gun like the one you have, so stop being a bitch and bothering me. You fucking retarred piece of shit." 

"God dame, Richie clam down. You totally killed the mode up there, now I don't even want to blow it up anymore" Rick said and turned the spaceship around to go back home.

{The next day}

I sat in the breakfast table trying to figure out an important equation, even with my level of intelligence it is quit difficult to truly understand this equation. As I continue working and drowning out the conversation, my dad notices this and says 

"Richard, you should talk to us."

I of course listened but ignored in the favor of solving this equation, I mutter

"Carry the e, multiply the c. Create a dimensional cross section multiplication,-" Jerry interpreted me and said by taking my notebook

"Talk to us now" 

"Or what? Kick me out the house" I said sarcastically, "Give me my book, Jerry" every one gasped at me saying this. Rick just laughed saying 

"Oh boy, I am loving this grandson more and more"

I take the note book and enter my concentration mode again, I was not really paying attention but the following things happened. Rick took Morty to a Plante to help him, probably shoving things up his ass. Summer just did summer things. Jerry ran out the room crying like a little bitch, my mother went after him. I am starting to see why rick doesn't like this guy, there got to be some kind of multiversal deity to make Beth and jerry always fall in love.

Anyway, I continue working on my portal gun which is coming to a close in building it. Most people think that building things is the important part but the majority of the time is taken in planning and writing down the steps, building thing only takes like a few days while planning and execution takes months to years.

{Beth pov}

"Hello, honey" Beth said walking into her bedroom that she shares with jerry. She sees jerry crying in the conner as she says

"Honey listen, Richard did not mean that. He is just -" 

"Just what? Angry, entitled. He would have never done this if your dad was not around" Jerry said 

"So, this is what it is all about? my dad. I can't believe it" Beth said with a eye roll at the end.

"Can't believe what, He has taken Morty out of school how many time now. Morty needs school and we know it, he is also a bad influence on Richard. He is also turning into a self egocentric man like him."

"So, I can't just throw him out" Beth said but before jerry can continue, the phone rang as summer called them down.

"MOM, DAD, it is for you." Summer said and left. They came down as jerry picked up the phone and talked to the other person. 

"What? SO, you are telling me that morty was taken out of school again by his grandfather. He is also failing math." Jerry said and continued to do the usual parent stuff.

{Mc' pov}

I finished my portal gun, although it is just a weak version of what Richard has it is better than nothing. The Basic Portal Gun is a sleek, futuristic design with a predominantly metallic body featuring a combination of matte black and silver surfaces. It's about the size of a small blaster, with a comfortable grip that fits easily in one hand. The front of the gun has a large, circular aperture where the portal beam is emitted, surrounded by a glowing ring that pulses softly when the gun is charged. The back has a simple trigger mechanism with a few small buttons along the side for adjusting the portal's size and destination. 

As for how it works and it's capabilities, It operates by firing a beam that creates a stable, two-way portal between two points, allowing the user to travel instantly between them. The range is limited to nearby dimensions, and the portals are stable for a short duration before they begin to collapse. The gun has basic controls for targeting and firing, with a simple display indicating portal status and energy levels. This version lacks advanced features like dimensional filtering or long-distance travel, focusing solely on creating basic, direct portals.
