Wild Sun

Shiro POV

Wow, that took more out of me than I thought. Is my first thought as I slowly descend to the ground to admire my work. That was actually larger than I intended to make it. I even froze the giant lion too. There is a giant ice flower in the air, honestly questioning on how it's defying gravity and not falling to the ground.

*CRACK*

"Haaah" I breathe out a little winded as the ice wings on my back shatter to tiny crystals. I really didn't have time to waste there, I can't hold bankai for more than a few seconds. Too much mana and spiritual energy used up, but it was mostly mana used during release. I really gotta get that magic core, because this is ridiculous!

*CRACK*

Huh, I thought my wings already shattered. Wait they definitely did, what just cracked? I glanced up at the floating ice flower again.

"Seriously?" I narrow my eyes in annoyance as there was a clear crack on the surface of the ice flower. This isn't the kind of crack where it shatters along with the person inside. No this is the kind that comes from the person breaking it from the inside.

Let's see, I'm out of mana, Bandit dude is literally about to break out of the ice, I am honestly tired. This is not looking good for me. Well there is one thing I can still do and no it's not running, too exhausted to get far enough. I raise my right hand and focus onto the ring that I'm wearing. It's a space ring, perks of being friends with a prince. It holds stuff that isn't alive in it, pretty neat.

A blue bottle appears into my grip, I really hate the taste of this thing. Well, no choice.

"CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG" I hear a voice in my head from one of my alternates who apparently has the kaleidoscope. Oh great, he's bored enough to be a godamn voyeur.

Uncorking the bottle, I start downing the mana potion while listening to the sounds of my alternate self chanting 'CHUG' over and over in my mind. If you're gonna spy on me, at least help a brother out!

Above the sky, the giant ice flower trembled from the inside. Cracks continued to spread as a visible red light bursted from the crevices. In a final push, the ice shattered as bandit lord Venatick fell to the ground. He stood up as the moisture continued to turn to steam from the heat his body gave off. He looked over to his familiar the flame lion who was unconscious. The lion took the full brunt of the attack at close range, it's unsurprising that it was knocked out.

Venatick grinned as he felt a bit fired up, he wasn't expecting the kid to put up this much of a fight. He turned to the white haired kid who was finished downing a mana potion.

"That isn't gonna help you much, kid." He called out since he could tell that he was exhausted. He wouldn't be able to keep drinking mana potions even if he had more, it resulted in diminishing returns if you drank too much in a short period of time.

"...I can do this all day." Shiro breathed out as he tried to ignore the aftertaste. Tasted like medicine and he drank a whole bottle of it.

"Alright, I've seen enough." Shiro turned to the feminine voice as Kri barged in between the two. She turned her attention to Venatick as he stood on the cliff above them. "Ven, I'm takin claim of this guy." She pointed at Shiro who was rightfully confused.

"Heheahahahaha!" Venatick seemed to laugh an honest laugh. "Sorry Kri, but I'm way too fired up right now. So I can't just let him off." the bandit lord replied as a feral grin appeared on his visage with flames sparking in the background.

"You're way too much of a hot-head." She rolled her eyes at the sight of the battle maniac. She knew Venatick had a problem whenever he got a rush in battle.

"Tell you what, I'll let you do whatever you want if you can deal with this!" He shouted as he raised both arms to the sky. His palms began to flare out with red light. Shiro felt the activation of a skill. The feeling that a skill gives out is much different than a spell. The sense of power that Venatick gave off right now was honestly worrying him.

"FEEL THE HEAT OF THE WILD SUN!" Venatick shouted, the sky was covered by a giant sun that flared out continuous waves of heat. Shiro felt that he had a hard time standing straight from the constant waves trying to force him back while he was still tired.

"I don't have time for this." Kri sighed as she stood straight in front of the waves being sent out from the sun. She lifted a hand as her body was covered in a layer of blue light to prevent it from being burnt to a crisp. A green interface popped up in front of her, she began to type onto the screen with her digits. With the last press of a button on the screen in front of her. She smiled up to Venatick as his sun seemed to increase in size.

Helios Tower

Within a control center based in the mobile city of Helios.

"Chairman Drak, I have returned with your order of tacos." A uniformed lady announced.

"Finally.... wait why is it so cold?" Drak asked as he noted the tacos were cold. He didn't want to eat cold tacos on Taco Tuesday!

"Sir we are on the northern part of Helios and Taco Emporium is literally thousands of miles over at the western part of the station."

"Why didn't you use the teleporter!?"

"Because sir, the teleporters are still in their experimental phase and the last time you sent an employee for food, he ended up getting fused with the order." The assistant deadpanned.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

"Um, sir? The satellites are moving without our input. I think someone just took control of it." An engineer who sat at a computer nearby hesitantly reported to his boss.

"WHAT!? IMPOSSIBLE!" Drak shouted as he ran over to take a look. No one should be capable of hacking into their systems. With multiple clicks sounding through the room, he started to sweat with narrowed eyes. Finally a holo-screen popped up in front of them with the image of a cartoon blonde chibi giving a half-hearted salute.

"KRIIIIIIII!!!!!!!" His roar echoed through headquarters as he worked to trace the signal.

"Don't bother Chairman Drak, just focus on locking her out." A younger man spoke out from above them.

"General!" the muscular man turned to salute the young man. "But...." the young general waved off the questioning.

"If she's appeared, then she won't be able to hide for long, especially with how much of a scene that would be caused from an orbital shot." he turned his back to leave for other business.

"Understood!" Drak saluted before returning to the computer.

"HAHAHAHA! LET'S TURN UP THE HEAT!" Venatick shouted as the wild sun had reached it's peak. The power it gave off was stunning, and the heat itself was concentrated on the giant ball in the sky. Shiro felt like he would be incinerated the moment he touched it.

Kri didn't seem phased as she had the same bored look on her face, her attention seemed to be above the giant floating ball of death. Her eyes seemed to glint with amusement as she finally saw what she was looking for.

"Hey Ven, you might want to look up." She smiled as she stepped back a little.

"Up?" Venatick questioned as he turned his attention to the sky, it was hard to see since it was mostly covered by his Wild Sun. His pupils constricted as he finally noticed something blue over the red tinted sky.

Without warning, a giant blue beam of light descended from the sky without warning. The wild sun was immediately dispersed from the sky as nothing but the giant beam was left to pierce the earth. It was as if it was blue judgement from the heavens. Shiro finally lost balance from the shockwave of the blast.

"Holy shit the girl has satellite cannons!" Shiro spoke in disbelief as the blue beam finally disappeared. There was a large hole in the ground where the beam once was.

Venatick's sunglasses fell to the ground as his bulging eyes stared into the deep hole left in the ground. He couldn't see the end to it.

"Well, I'm just gonna go home now." he finally said after a moment. He went over to his giant flame lion and started carrying it away despite it's size.

Kri turned to the dumbfounded Shiro as he was completely speechless and slightly intimidated by the fact that she literally had a death cannon from orbit.

"You and I are going to have so much fun!" She gave an incredibly big smile as Shiro started to feel uncomfortable. Reason being, he noticed an insane gleam in her eyes.

"You know, I don't know how to feel about you." Syri said out loud in front of a tied up man. He was bounded and gagged to a chair.

"Mmmmph?!"

The man had no idea what had happened. One moment he was sleeping with his crew in their hideout, the next he woke up to all his buddies dead while he was tied up. He nearly pissed his pants from the wolf girl's bloody appearance as she sat above a pile of his gang's corpses.

"On one hand, you were the beginning of the hell that was my life." she seemed to be contemplating as she stroked her chin while she stared at the man who in her last life, had killed all the people in her village and forced her to leave before meeting Shiro. "On the other hand, I would have never met him without you." She stepped closer to him.

"Did you know, you gave me a big scar right here." She pointed to her right eye as he was completely confused, he had never met her before. "I used to hate it so much every time I looked into the mirror. But did you know? He said it made me look like a baddass." she clamped her clawed hands onto his neck as he seemed to piss his pants from the coldness reflected in her eyes.

"I've decided, I'll let you off easy." a snap was all that was heard in the bandit cave.

"I'm tired of waiting, I think I'll go see him myself." The wolf girl smiled as she stepped out of the bloody cave.
