Odd treatment

"Ugggh" Sotenn groaned as he shifted his body upright.

"Commander Sotenn! You've awoken!" one of the guards celebrated as the commander blinked for a moment. It took a moment for him to think as he remembered what had happened to him.

"GGGRRAAAAAH!" Then with enough rage to startle the guards, Sotenn broke the nearest object with an enraged roar as he remembered the embarrassing way he was taken down.

"How long was I out and where are the intruders?" he forcibly calmed himself as he got back to the matter at hand.

"About half an hour and.... we can't find them." the guard reported nervously. Sotenn snapped his eyes at the unfortunate guard.

"What do you mean you cannot find them?!" his commander growled out

"Well, the barrier never detected anyone leaving sir." the guard's co-worker spoke out "But we did end up capturing one person that was making a commotion at the King's bed-chamber." he added, hoping it was enough to placate the commander.

"... Take me to him." Sotenn spoke as he made his way to the interrogation room.

Within a small room, a man in his boxers was spewing profanities as he was tied to his chair. "RELEASE ME YOU IGNORANT BASTARDS! I AM A THIRD RANKED HEALER FROM CLOUD-PIERCE MOUNTAIN! YOU ARE MAKING AN ENEMY OF OUR MOUNTAIN!" He continued to throw out threats left and right.

The door flew open as Sotenn stepped into the room with heavy steps. With just a glance at the prisoner, he became disappointed. "Who is he and why is he here?" Sotenn asked his subordinate.

The naked man became ticked off as he cursed at the commander. "Who am I!? I am Luvont! A third ranked healer from Cloud-Pierce Mountain, release me at once or make an enemy of our mountain!"

Sotenn turned back to the prisoner with a raised brow. "An enemy of Cloud-Pierce Mountain?" he spoke as he took some steps closer "Who are you trying to fool? You're overestimating yourself if you think Cloud-Pierce Mountain would give a damn about if we let you rot in here for the rest of your life." Sotenn stopped in front of the man as he towered over him.

"Just a third ranked healer has no place to be arrogant in our Kingdom." he narrowed his eyes.

"You... You damn mutt! What are you trying to do here!?" Luvont became afraid as Sotenn was correct, a third ranked healer wasn't enough for Cloud-Pierce Mountain to do anything if Luvont was in the wrong.

Sotenn clamped down on the man's shoulder in response to the word 'mutt'. His wolf ears twitched as his expression remained the same. "You are going to tell me exactly everything that happened before you came here. Am I clear." he ordered as his claws began to dig into Luvont's shoulders.

A few moments later, the door to the interrogation room slammed open again. Sotenn hurriedly ran out as he dashed into the direction of the King's bed chamber. "THE KING IS IN DANGER!" His roar echoed throughout the castle.

[The transfer of the magic core has been halted. Scans show the curse is siphoning energy from the core to slowly corrode the soul. Subject is too weakened to manifest mind's eye in response.] The system finished it's summary as Shiro was mulling over the information.

'What do you suggest then?' Shiro asked in his thoughts as he relied on the system for this kind of stuff. Shiro wasn't a dumb guy, in fact he could be incredibly clever if he put in enough effort. It just wasn't his style to be smart since he would rather choose to be an idiot as idiots are generally happiest in his opinion.

It was also why he had no problem with revealing his abilities in that spar against Miya back then despite just meeting her, he just didn't want to sweat the small stuff. He would rather throw caution to the wind and wing it. Of course he also knew that this line of thinking would probably get him killed one day, he would cross that bridge when he gets to it.

[There is no actual cure at this stage. The curse is currently located right between the target's soul and magic core. The use of miracles or magic could harm the soul and magic core as they are nearly corrupted from the curse right now. Unless the host were able to precisely destroy the source of the curse without touching the soul and core, death is inevitable.]

'System, show me exactly where they are then.' he commanded as his vision shifted to show the location of the core, soul and curse. His eyes stared at the king's chest as he clicked his tongue.

"Well your majesty, I'm going to apologize before hand if this kills you."

"OUT OF THE WAY!" Sotenn shouted as he dashed towards the king's bed chambers.

The crowd hastily dispersed to make way for the intimidating figure. The man knocked down the doors to the king's chamber and his eyes turned towards his King's bed.

"NOOOOO!!!" he reached his arm out in a futile effort as he could only watch as the intruder stab his sword right into the king's chest. Blood spilled out of the wound as Shiro hastily pulled the sword out.

Sotenn stared unblinkingly at the unmoving form of his King. The Burger King had his eyes closed with a smile on his face. It was such a peaceful visage, as if he passed away content. "You... I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!" Sotenn roared at the white haired shinigami as three golden eyes manifested above his head.

John Kuraif, also known as the 7th Burger King. A year ago, he had fallen ill after his failed attempt at the second awakening. However, he technically didn't even get to attempt it. The second awakening required one to break their mortal shell and emerge anew with their 'perfect' body.

Before that, one would need to move their magic core from their body into the soul. Then they would use their mind's eye to contruct their new body, then they would attempt the second awakening. While people could move the core to the soul before reaching 300, he simply had no time. As a King he had many obligations and duties to fulfill, leaving him with little time to himself.

The time it would take to move a core to the soul varied, but it was usually around a few months. Much less than the time it took to create a magic core which would usually take a year. The time it would take to create a 'perfect' body varied from person to person, since it depended on a variety of factors such as bloodline, soul, physique and treasures to aid in it's creation.

Unfortunately the King failed when he attempted to move his core to his soul, now he was left weak and bedridden. He felt nothing but pain each day, and each night it would be difficult for him to even fall asleep. His body was so weak that he could only watch as the short, white haired healer plunge the blade into his chest. He actually smiled as he thought his pain would finally come to an end.

However for a moment he froze. No, he literally felt like his soul was frozen. For a moment he was confused, but then a soothing feeling of freedom came. As if a weight had been lifted from his body and allowed him to break free of his shackles.

Shiro POV

My everything hurts, I'm pretty sure I've broken a few dozen bones now. The damn crazy wolf man must have been holding back on us earlier, because he is tearing me and Quinn apart. I really underestimated this world, because those claws of his are getting sharper and piercing my blood armor. Quinn and I are both out of energy, I have to say his armor is pretty damn strong. I should consider getting my own soon.

"Well Quinn, it was a good run." I spoke with a wry grin as we both tried to stand up to the insane pressure the wolf man was pumping out. Did he always have three eyes? I could have sworn he had two earlier.

I couldn't move anymore, I was supressed with two eyes and could still struggle. But three eyes was my body's limit. I guess this is my current limit as a cheat character, but how is Quinn keeping up with me? Is it his armor? Quinn slowly moved his metal form in front of me, that is honestly heart-warming but I'm pretty sure were still screwed.

"I'm touched, but I'm pretty sure it's not gonna do much." I tell him as he silently trembled while he stood in front of me. More guards are pouring into the room, but the main problem is the raging werewolf. With a final roar, I saw the wolf man lunge right at Quinn as he struggled to stay standing.

"ENOUGH!" the shout felt like it carried an unstoppable will as I turned my attention towards the source. The King stood firm as he had 5 golden eyes above his head. Took him long enough, I actually thought I was going to die there.
