Here I was, in the middle of nowhere with a man who was barely alive.
"Katsu, tell me where's the base."
"Well, you see, it ain't no ususal base. It's pretty much some sort of underground bunker, or something."
I thought that he had hurt his head or that he lost too much blood and he was talking random things, but when I saw a door open in the middle of that field, I was left speechless.
"So you're telling me that that huge place, with everything you'd ever need, is a fricking bunker?"
"Trust me, we all reacted the same way as you did."
I helped Katsu stand up, then walked with him to that door, slowly descending inside. It was quite the cold place, at least up here, our steps echoing trough the tunnel as we descended.
As we made our was to the bottom, a giant iron door stood tall in front of us, opening right when we aproached it. First thing I saw when I went in was that guy who tried to beat me and make me look like a spy. He just glared at me and went on his way.
"I wonder what's his problem."
Katsu stood there for a second, looking like he knew and was used to this.
"Oh, he's Aku. Yeah, he always does this. Just don't mind him at all."
I decided to take his advice, but some part of me felt like he'd be a big pain in the ass. We kept going our way, our priority being to get someone to take care of Katsu, since he's holding on just to make me feel reliefed. On our way, we found ourselves face to face with Hikari and someone I didn't know.
"Katsu, what on earth happened to you?"
"Triple digits" said Katsu while laughing.
The look on Hikari's face went from worried to terrified.
She turned around to the one who was with her.
"You, make sure he gets enough treatment. Take him, now."
The man had nothing to do but to follow the orders, and so, it was only me and Hikari left.
"And you, Akira, you're coming with me, now."
In just two mintes we where inside what seemed to be her office.
"Tell me what happened, now."
I told her everything, from how it all began to how it ended.
"So, you were face to face with a triple digit and survived? You sure are lucky."
She looked concerned, her hands were shaking a bit.
I put my hand in my pocked and remembered that I had that box from 103. I took it out and handed it to her.
"Say, is this something important?"
She took the tiny box from me, looking as confused as I looked at it.
"What's this? Did you get it from that guy?"
"Yep. I have no clue as to what it is, but I know it ought to be important."
She slowly opened it as to not destroy what was inside. The way she looked at it made it seem like the most important thing in the universe.
"What is it?"
"I...I..."
She kept stuttering for a bit.
"No wonder they sent that guy to get this. From what I know, this might be the "key" to their plans."
