Chapter 7

Hey Guys This chapter is going to have a one year time skip to just further progress the story and get to canon. Hope you guys enjoy. It might be different from canon but that's the point of fan-fiction and novels to get different views. If your so butt hurt about it just watch the anime instead. That being said i'll try to not stray too far from canon.

A Year later, we see a cloaked figure walking out of the dungeon slightly covered in blood which wasn't unusual. The cloak covered his whole body but you can make out some features. This is non other than our MC Xeos. He was walking around when all of a sudden a figure ran past him covered in blood and was leaving a trail and getting it all over the stalls owner merchandise. From the smell he could tell it was Minotaur blood based on his own experience. He had finally reached max stats without magic of course since he still doesn't have one. He was ready for a level up but was waiting for a worthy opponent. The Minotaur he fought was already weakened and was on the verge of death. He was going to find the strongest Minotaur to get his level up. (Even stronger than the one bell faced).

He was looking for a Leader Minotaur to appear. A Leader type monster as the name suggests is the strongest monster of that particular monster. They are way stronger than an average monster by 10 Times the amount. They are excruciatingly rare and people harder ever come across one. If one did happen to cross paths with one they are considered a goner. Only one person managed to escape by pass parading it to a group of adventurers and though he felt bad. He needed to report this info to the guild at any cost. Leader Class monsters are consider SSS threat monsters which means only someone with max stats or a higher level Adventurer can take it on. Not a lot of people actually max out their stats since they are always eager to level up. In fact no one really maxes out their stats since, One it's hard to max them out, and Two why waste time when you can level up sooner.

He saw the boy running around and enter the guild screaming out a certain persons name but Xeos couldn't care less and scoffed at the weakling since he can still smell the tears the wuss cried. Xeos just shock his head and headed back to his goddess to see if he developed magic yet. After getting his status updated this is what he saw.

Magic: Flames - Can shoot flames out of your hand like a flamethrower at the cost of mind going down the longer you use it at a time. (Like Skyrim Flames). Sparks - Can shoot lightning out of your hands like a lightning bolt at the cost of mind going down the longer you use it at a time.

He was a little surprised about finally having magic spells letting alone Two of them.

Freya looked at him and couldn't contain her giggle and said "Congratulations Sweetie, you finally got your magic spells it seems". Xeos just nodded his head at her and showed a slight smile but that's it. Freya saw that and couldn't help but smile brighter. She had been calling him sweetie for a few months now and though he won't admit it. He actually feels weird in a good way when she calls him that.

He wasn't in a rush to try his magic just yet cause he knows that despite having it, he has no idea how to use it and how dangerous it can be. He will be practicing it at the training field before rushing into the dungeon like a idiot.

He decided to walk around the city for a change of pace when he noticed a few people were following him. He decided to confront them and quickly ran into an alley way the opens up and waited for his stalkers to appear.

A group of 10 men came out and slowly surrounded him and noticed they were all covered in black and dark clothing hiding their features. He also smelled poison so he knew they were here to kill him and was on guard.

The more armored one step up and looks like the leader of them. He walked only a few steps and stood tall and said" Xeos Yoshimori, For running away and abandoning your mission, Evilus has no further use of you and will now be disposed of". When Xeos heard him a switch flip and the Xeos we knew was gone.

In it's place was a blood thirsty demon who's rage could not be controlled. His veins bulged and his body became tense and was waiting to slaughter these fools and make it a massacre.

On the roof nearby was a elf who was hiding and was shocked what she heard. She decided to listen in more.

The leader continued to speak, "You were supposed to kill Ryuu Lion and bring her head back to Headquarters but instead here you are living a carefree life and haven't made a single report. I'm also assuming you failed in killing her since you are still her and aren't being hunted down. Tell me why you failed.

Though Xeos has no reason to respond he decided to answer them anyways since he already considered them dead men. Xeos opened his mouth and his voice was distorted and growling that it sounded and looked like a demon was in front of them. "For starters, She was stronger than me and managed to make me retreat, The second one was after fighting her, i loved her fighting style and the way she fought shocked and awe me. It was so beautiful but deadly and knew i was lucky that i even managed to escape. I always loved and respected strong people and for her is no different. My goal is to surpass her and defeat her in an official match".

The leader was dumbfounded and the eavesdropping elf was blushing pretty hard when she heard that. No one ever complimented her fighting style and called her beautiful and actually mean it. (if you don't know who is eavesdropping now well there's no helping you).

The leader just shrugged and gestures his men to kill him.

All of a sudden one the men that was behind Xeos came at him and tried to slice his back wide open. Xeos sensing someone coming behind him ducked down and swiped his sword at the attackers stomach drawing a wide open cut.

Before Xeos could finish him off someone else attacked him from behind and he rolled out of the way and saw an arrow coming towards him and decided to use the guy who he cut open as a shield and the arrow pierced through the cloaked mans head and killing him.

Xeos noticed that even though the man was dead that the wound on his stomach was completely closed and healed. He was shocked and the leader seeing that chuckled evilly. "That's right everyone here is just like you when we experimented on you. Though their regen is way better".

While Xeos was confused he felt a sudden sharp pain in his stomach and looked down and saw a sword sticking through. He looked behind him and saw the guy with the arrow in his head standing up and was holding the sword that was currently through him. He coughed out some blood and swiped his sword quickly and managed to cut off one of the guys arms freeing him from the mans grasp.

Xeos pulled the sword out and his wound started to heal. He turned around and before the guy could react, Xeos slice his sword that was on his waist and decapitated the guy who stabbed him. After a few seconds and not seeing him regenerate came to the conclusion that they can only died VIA decapitation.

He saw two guys rushing him and managed to block the first one's strike. He saw the second one coming and knew he couldn't do anything against it.

All of a sudden a figure appeared with a green mask and cloak and blocked the sword coming from them. Xeos Saw her hair and knew who it was. He nodded his head as a thank you and the elf just nodded her head back and then they focused on their targets.

While Xeos was busy he saw another one coming from behind. He pointed one of his hands behind him and although he hasn't practiced yet decided to use one of his spells. He shot out a lighting bolt continuously and the guy got hit and was convulsing like crazy. Xeos knew he couldn't keep it up and thought of the spell being cut off and sure enough the spell stopped.

He didn't truly knew how he used it in the first place it was just a gut feeling he had. The guy he was fighting previously took advantage of the situation and managed to disarm Xeos and swung his sword for his neck. Xeos seeing this brought out his hidden dagger and parried the blow and managed to deflect it.

Ryuu however had already defeated her first opponent and managed to decap him leaving only 8 figures left. She sensed someone behind her and vanished before the figures eyes, before he could react he saw the world was upside down and was spinning slightly. He then noticed his body was falling and realized he had been decapitated and his head was sent flying. A few seconds later his head hit the ground and he was no more.

Ryuu said "3 down 7 to go". She charged at the nearest one and decided to engage him in combat.

Meanwhile Xeos managed to also finish off one more of these annoying guys and leaving only 6 left.

The leader saw what was happening and decided to retreat to report about this situation. Xeos seeing the leader retreat tried to go after him but was blocked by two more of the figures and cursed under his breathe. He picked up his sword and swung it a weird angle and imagine shooting lightning out of it and used his magic while imagining the image. Sure enough he was able to shoot lightning out the tip of his sword and managed to nail one of the guys through his head while the other one dodged.

Xeos now had a grasp of how his magic worked and coated his sword with lightning making it much more dangerous. He slashed at the other guy who blocked with his sword which was a bad idea since the lightning from the sword coursed through the figures sword and electrocuted him. Xeos noticed the one he shot through the head with his lightning and wasn't getting up. He then figured that in order to kill them the brain must be completely fried to the point of no return or just decap the men.

Xeos said "5 left huh".

While he was thinking he didn't noticed the arrow coming towards him and paid the price for it. The arrow struck him in the middle of his chest and Xeos's vision was going blurry. "Poison" Xeos thought. He didn't think much of it at first since he has a high resistance to poison but after a few minutes of fighting. He noticed his vision was getting blurrier and knew something was wrong. The guy he was fighting saw the confused expression and laughed. "You think we would forget about your poison Resistance. They were the one who gave you it to began with. This poison was specifically made for you". The man laughed chaotically and before he could boast anymore his head was falling off his body. "4 left huh" pant* pant* Xeos said.

Ryuu saw that Xeos was struggling and decided to finish the last 4 off quickly. She used her magic Luminous wind and instantly managed to finish the last four off but not without one of the figures stabbing her in the stomach with a dagger. Ryuu gritted her teeth and noticed that despite the small stab wound that it was bleeding a lot more than it should. "A poison that speeds up bleeding this is not good". She quickly wrapped her wound up and ran towards Xeos position.

She saw him breathing heavily and his face pale. His body temperature was dropping and knew she had to act fast. She picked him up and decided to bring him to The hostess to take care of him.....
