Blue "Nine Dragons" burst forth from the mouth of the Gedo Statue.
The Nine Dragons rapidly swirled, instantly enveloping the body of the One-Tail Jinchuriki, Gaara.
Gaara let out agonized screams as red chakra was forcibly extracted from his eyes and mouth.
The One-Tail within him was slowly being drawn out by the Nine Dragons and sealed into the Gedo Statue.
One of the nine tightly closed eyes on the Gedo Statue's forehead began to faintly open.
The tedious sealing ritual always made those without patience agitated first.
Hidan was the first to speak, his tone quite irritable:
"Hey! Leader, you said Hachibi would be handled by Kakuzu and me. Why was that guy Natsuhane there? Did you send him?"
Pain responded calmly, "Natsuhane is a part of Akatsuki's external members. It's his duty to help the organization."
"What?" Hidan shouted, displeased. "If it's his duty, fine, but why steal our quota?"
Pain said, "You and Kakuzu had just dealt with the Two-Tails and went to confront the Eight-Tails immediately. I was concerned you might slip up."
Hidan grew more annoyed, "Leader! Are you doubting the abilities of the immortal duo?"
White Zetsu interjected, "It's not doubt; you two looked like you were having a hard time."
Hidan scoffed, "I was holding back! If I went all out, that dark-skinned guy named Killer Bee would have been finished long ago!"
Black Zetsu taunted, "Anyone can talk big. I saw you struggling."
Feeling ridiculed by Black Zetsu too, Hidan looked aggrievedly at Kakuzu and shouted, "Kakuzu! Say something!"
Kakuzu glared at him, "Shut up, Hidan! You're too noisy. Focus on the sealing!"
"Dammit, even you...!" Hidan was about to lose control, but Pain's voice stopped him in time.
"Hidan, don't worry. There will be plenty of targets for your sacrifices in the future."
"This operation is different from our previous ones; it's very high-profile. Our name will spread across nations."
"I suspect that the great nations, having lost their Jinchuriki or wanting to protect them, will unite against us."
"When that happens, things will get interesting..."
"Hmph!" Hidan pouted, "I don't believe you. Do you think you're so smart, like some kind of prophet?"
Kakuzu taunted, "Anyone with a normal brain would think that way. Don't use your limited intelligence to question the leader; it makes you look even dumber."
Hidan was about to explode when Deidara suddenly spoke, "Strange, where's Tobi, that noisy guy? Did he actually go to capture the Three-Tails? Hmm?"
Pain confirmed, "Yes, trust him. Although Tobi seems clumsy, his abilities are reliable."
Hidan asked, "What about the other Jinchuriki? Leader, you said you'd handle four of them yourself, but I haven't seen you do anything! Why not give me one or two? I haven't had enough fun!"
Pain replied, "That's not necessary for you to worry about. I have made arrangements. I've tasked Natsuhane with capturing Han, the Five-Tails Jinchuriki, and Utakata, the Six-Tails Jinchuriki."
"What?" Hidan's anger flared up even more, "Do you not love us anymore? Why give so many quotas to an external member? Damn it! I'm jealous, and you can't appease me!"
Kakuzu angrily whispered, "Hidan! You're using 'jealous' wrong. Just shut up already!"
