PROLOGUE

We live in a strange world.

A world that we thought we know so much, and yet countless mysteries are floating around waiting to he discovered, and yet we sometimes choose not to.

I'm a part of a strange society. It is hidden, yet we coexist with the world.

We call ourselves, "Shadow Hunters", a group of supernatural humans that has a strength of five (5) people combined, and speed that surpassed an average man.

But there's one this that we are so proud about.

We have access to something called Magic.

A mysterious power that we get from the originator of life, the "World Tree".

The sole purpose of our lives is to protect the World Tree from being that are trying to destroy it, and those are what we call, "Shadow Demons".

Creatures that are born from the depths of the abyss, and comes to the surface through various tunnels.

They can't physically harm humans, but they can certainly influence their thoughts and behavior. And the reason why they want to get a taste from the World Tree, is for them to boost their powers.

The stronger the Shadow Demon, it will have a power to control many people at once. Thus, feeding on their emotion.

In that manner, they can finally inflict injury on humans, killing them, thus eating them to nourish their body with extraordinary nutrients that humans only possess.

Eating a single leaf can break the barrier between the Shadow World and Human World. Therefore, our goal is to stop that from happening.

In return of protecting the World Tree, the World Tree itself rewards us by giving us its "Fruits" that contains the essentials nutrients for us to harness magics, to fend off against the Shadow Demons.

With the help of the World Tree, we can maintain and protect the balance between the Shadow World and Human World.

That is OUR role in this world.
