Dragons' Attack [4]

Not too long after Bahu City defended its base, a message from Marakseut Fortress arrived.

'We are in a dire position. Send troops, we are losing!'

Reading the message, General Bryx immediately sent some of his men without a second thought. Almost a thousand were sent, not knowing if it was even enough to help.

"What is happening? Didn't we just win? Why are your men leaving?" Darius asked, noticing how instead of celebrating or resting, others had packed and started leaving.

Bryx could only show him a concerned look before handing him the message. As Darius read it, he felt another chill, similar to the one he felt when the dragons attacked the kingdom.

Giving it back, he clenched his fist, thinking of what to do.

'Our mission was to protect Bahu City from infiltrators. But I have done my part, and now the fortress is at risk of collapsing.'

"I will follow them."
