Chapter 4

I slowly walked forward. All eight of her black beady eyes were staring at me. I could hear my heart in my chest, something told me this fight would be on a whole new level. Even in my first life, my instincts never lied.

As soon as I got into my battle stance, she shot sticky webs and I'd rapidly dodge using my dash skill. She had more intelligence than average beasts, but I'm still stronger than before so I should be able to pull this off. Or so I thought until I attacked her. Her shell was as hard as metal. I was annoyed, this was going to be hard. Without wasting even a second of time I shot back to create distance between us. I threw away my blunt knives, they skidded on the rough ground. They were of no use anymore, especially when i'm up against this beast. If i can't slash her I'll have to crush her with sheer force. Let's see how my strength points will pay off.

I activated combo rush and my eyes glowed red, was this because I leveled it up? Well no matter, as long as it works. I dashed all around the queen looking for openings with my crimson eyes, like a hawk scanning for It's prey. However this time, for once in my life...

...I was the predator.

She attacked me with her long hairy legs and they got stuck in the stone beneath us, she lost balance, this was my chance! I leapt onto the now panicked beast and wrapped my arms around her head. I squeezed as hard as I could. The faint sounds of cracking was audible, I was breaking through. She shook and shook but I wouldn't let go, this was my only chance and i wasn't about to waste it. After wrestling for about 2 minutes I heard one last loud crack and blood exploded everywhere, covering me in the filth.

"Holy shit!!!"

How was I going to explain this to mum?

I still had nowhere near enough system cash for a new weapon. I sighed, slightly dis-heartened. Maybe next time. Wait! I completely forgot! The dungeon artifact! There's a chance that It's a weapon, right?

"System where is the dungeon artifact"

Once again the screen formed an arrow shape and led the way. I felt like I could trust this system so I decided to ask a few questions on the way.

"System. Why do you exist? Why did I return?"

As I thought, in any manga when the mc would never know the secret to their unique power.

Wait! Does that mean I'm a mc?!?! I smirked. This is what many weebs and otakus would dream of, which brought up another question:

Was I the only returner?

[ you have reached your destination ]

I was speechless, It was like a tomb treasure room. Gold shone everywhere. My eyes gleamed as they reflected the shining yellow surrounding me.

For the time being I ignored the gold and went straight to the throne in the center of the room… and a dead corpse.

I covered my nose, my heightened senses really weren't helping

[would you like to reduce your senses?]

I can do that? I accepted immediately. It was much less suffocating.

I looked at the corpse, It seemed like an old man. Was he some sort of ancient martial master? I stared in awe.

On his lap lay the dungeon relic, dual daggers. I picked them up and analysed them.

[ The dagger of the martial king ]

[ damage- 200-300]

[ability- loyalty- when thrown it will automatically come back]

Oooh this goes well with dagger th-

[dagger throw evolved to dominator's command]

[ when object is thrown it will return back to you upon command ]

Even better! I didn't know dungeon regards could be so amazing!

It was about time I left but I didn't want to leave the gold. I can't use it because people will interrogate me as to where I found it, however it could be of use to me in the future.

"System, how can I collect all this gold"

[ you have unlimited inventory ]

Oh yeah! I forgot. I opened the inventory portal and sucked up all the gold, it worked like a vacuum cleaner.

After I cleared all the gold I set off on my journey back home.
