57 A Snowball Fight

Kayla’s POV

Perhaps because we were in a scenic area, everyone's mood had noticeably improved.

After returning to the hotel, some of the younger staff, taking advantage of Harrison's absence, went out onto the snowy terrain and started a lively snowball fight.

As I watched the snowballs flying back and forth, I was reminded of the joyful times I had spent with my parents in the snow during my childhood. Unable to resist the temptation, I stepped out of the hotel to join in their game.

Squatting down, I scooped up a fist-sized snowball and threw it toward the group.

With a soft thud, the snowball hit a tall figure.

I was about to cheer, but I noticed that the group that had just been filled with laughter and merriment had suddenly fallen silent in an instant.

Puzzled, I turned to a female colleague nearby and shrugged, asking, "Why did everyone stop?"

"Well, I'm not sure, but I think it's time to head back to the hotel. See you, Kayla!"
