Myrmidon Diplomat

"M-Mika?" Mikha'el muttered in surprise.

"Yes, you will be known as Mika from now on so that when I call you, your name won't be that… weird," Damon explained. He thought about the Obsidian Order and worried their members were just lurking around since he abandoned their quest for him.

Also, Damon found it uneasy to call Mikha'el, knowing she was a sovereign Dragon. Those reasons only led to misunderstandings and troubles; he didn't want that to happen.

"My real name is not that weird!" Mikha'el pouted as she felt insulted. "I am the great—!"

Mikha'el couldn't finish her words when Damon slammed her mouth with the last piece of his hash brown.

"I know, that's why you need a fictitious name to conceal your real identity. Mika sounds closer to your real name," Damon explained and retracted his fork. "Ah, I want to eat that piece," he grumped.

Mikha'el munched the hash brown, gulped it in, and glared at Damon. "You need to change your harsh attitude!" she exclaimed.

"Eh, you're the harsh one here," Damon pouted and drank his juice.

"Well, whatever," Mikha'el turned to the side to avoid eye contact with Damon and focused her attention on someone else.

Two women met in front of the restaurant with a fierce aura.

"Bend down," Damon whispered and hurriedly sprung down the chair, hiding below the table.

Mikha'el did the same after thinking there were enemies nearby. "Who is it?" she asked in a low tone.

"Lady Saorsa…" Damon replied nervously. He was glad that Saorsa hadn't found him yet.

Mikha'el frowned since she didn't know who Saorsa was, but she went along with Damon with the thought that they were in trouble.

The area where Damon and Mikha'el sat had a divider, which they used to hide themselves. The waitress saw them but paid no mind since there were other customers around and thought they were only playing.

"Lady Saorsa, nice to see you again," a woman's voice spoke mockingly.

"Tiana, what's the purpose of this meeting?" Saorsa asked in a stern tone. She frowned and crossed her arms since she didn't like Tiana at all.

"Haha~ You know the reason why, Lady Saorsa. I'm here to talk about the ancient Dragon of the Wind that appeared here two days ago," Tiana stated playfully. She placed her hand on her waist while snickering at Saorsa.

"What is it about?" Saorsa asked. She wanted to avoid where the conversation was going.

"Well, I'm here to ask about the progress of your investigation regarding the Dragon's appearance and… the attack in the City of Acedia," Tiana stated with a grin. She had seen the Knights of Hippotades working day and night, but there was still no progress.

"Our Knights of Hippotades are doing their best to investigate this matter. The Myrmidon can sit back and not interfere," Saorsa replied sternly. She openly showed her distaste.

"I'm just concerned, Lady Saorsa. After all, if you fail to subdue that monster, us Myrmidon can take the job," Tiana replied, batting her eyelashes to further offend Saorsa.

"A monster!? That's our ancient protector who came back after decades! I expect more knowledge, respect, and good manners from a Myrmidon's diplomat!" Saorsa raised her voice but controlled it so as not to cause drama in the street.

"Haha~ my apologies, Lady Saorsa. I'm only looking after the well-being of the Acedians in the city. If you need help, we are here for you," Tiana smiled teasingly and shrugged everything Saorsa said.

"Don't intervene, Tiana," Saorsa muttered roughly as she stepped closer to show dominance. She hated how disrespectful a Myrmidon's diplomat acted when they welcomed them into their nation.

"I bid you farewell, Lady Saorsa. Have a nice day," Tiana replied, curtsied, and left with the same smirk on her face.

Saorsa watched as Tiana departed and let out a heavy sigh. Their conversation only added negative pressure on their job, which stressed her more.

"I should inform the Knights," Saorsa whispered before leaving hastily.

On the other side, Damon stared at Mikha'el with a flat expression.

"What?" Mikha'el said and turned her head on the other side.

"What do you mean by what? You already know the answer," Damon whispered aggressively before sitting back in his chair.

"I didn't mean it! I'm only searching for you!" Mikha'el whispered back angrily, indicating the time she flew over the city.

When Damon didn't return for hours when he left Mikha'el in the broken tower. She decided to search for him, thinking she had been abandoned.

Mikha'el sensed Damon's faint presence, which traced back to the city of Acedia, and her unstabled thought of being left alone by her Master caused an unnecessary release of powers that she couldn't control fully yet.

"Your impatience caused trouble to the people who helped me," Damon sighed. He couldn't be angry at Mikha'el, knowing he was also at fault for leaving her too long.

"I don't mean it," Mikha'el pouted and slouched. She felt guilty for causing trouble, especially if her Master was involved.

"Well, past is past. We need to do something about this instead. I never thought it would become a bigger issue," Damon sighed and finished the last drop of his drink.

Damon expected the Acedians to celebrate the arrival of their Dragon even though it caused a bit of chaos, but the result was the opposite.

"That Tiana… I hate her," Mikha'el growled lowly. Her rage ignited after being called a monster by her.

"Hmm, a Myrmidon diplomat… Interesting," Damon rubbed his chin while in deep thought. He didn't expect to have other enemies other than the Obsidian Order lurking in the darkness.

"I don't care. I hate them all!" Mikha'el shouted loudly and started banging her hands on the wooden table, which had gotten attention from around them.

"Oi! Stop it!" Damon whispered aggressively, but Mikha'el ignored him. He looked around, and the other customers a few tables away looked at them with curious glances.

In the end, Damon pulled Mikha'el's hair to get her attention and to stop her from potentially breaking the table.

"Ahem, may I take the bill, please," the waitress arrived with a tight smile, but it was visible she was pissed at the negative impact Damon and Mikha'el brought to their restaurant.

"All I need is the milk in you."
