Step Forward To Die

A deafening boom echoed through the heavens as Horne's body slammed into the ground with a violent thud, sending debris flying in all directions. Dust filled the air, obscuring everything in sight.

Horn released Jiang Wan from his embrace, giving her a reassuring look. "Now you can rest easy and watch from the sidelines, right?"

Jiang Wan, still in shock, returned to her grandfather, Mr. Jiang, and the others. Her mind raced as she tried to process what she had just witnessed.

"Grandfather," she stammered, "did Horn just defeat Horne, who was nearly at the Sky Moon Realm?"

Mr. Jiang let out a weary sigh, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "It appears we have greatly underestimated Horn. My dear, he's definitely reached the Sky Moon Realm—no doubt about it."

Jiang Zhan, stunned, could hardly believe it. "A twenty-one-year-old, in the middle stage of the Sky Moon Realm? What kind of future awaits my son-in-law?" He shook his head in disbelief. "I can't even begin to fathom it!"

Jiang Feng chimed in, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Don't forget, Grandfather—Horn isn't just a powerful cultivator. He's also a Seven-Star Array Master and Alchemist. His potential is terrifying."

Realization dawned on Mr. Jiang and Jiang Zhan. Horn's multifaceted talents suddenly loomed larger in their minds.

Meanwhile, Horn approached the pit where Horne lay broken, his body pinned down by a residual force. Blood trickled from his mouth, but his defiance hadn't waned. Horn stood at the edge of the pit, his expression cold and indifferent.

"Where are my parents?" Horn asked, his voice sharp.

Horne sneered. "You and your parents? All worthless b******s!"

Before Horne could continue, Horn flicked his fingers, sending a sharp burst of energy that severed Horne's thumb. Blood gushed from the wound.

"Where are my parents?" Horn asked again, his voice growing colder.

Horne gritted his teeth but remained silent. With another flick of his fingers, Horn sliced off Horne's index finger. Blood stained the earth beneath them, and Horne's cries of pain echoed through the air.

The rest of the Su family looked on in horror, trembling as they watched their once-mighty elder being reduced to this state. Fear gripped their hearts, and some even collapsed, overcome by the dread of Horn's newfound power.

As Su Wu looked on, his despair deepened. His last hope—Horne—lay helpless at Horn's mercy. He could feel the noose tightening around his own neck.

At this moment, Xia Qingying, her face pale and drawn, spoke up. "Isn't this enough, Horn?" Her voice quivered with frustration. "You've already taken back the immortal bones and killed so many. Must you destroy the entire Su family? This is your home, after all!"

Horn laughed, a chilling sound. "My home?" His eyes narrowed dangerously. "You truly are delusional, Xia Qingying."

Without warning, Horn flicked his arm. A sharp slap of energy struck the side of Xia Qingying's face, leaving her cheek bloodied. Her eyes widened in shock, but she clenched her fists, fighting back the tears of humiliation.

"Enough of your buzzing," Horn muttered coldly. He turned his attention back to Horne, ready to continue.

But before he could act, a sudden shift in the air caught his attention. From the distant sky, three figures descended rapidly, their terrifying aura blanketing the Su family manor in a suffocating pressure.

"Mother! Father! Uncle!" Su Wu screamed, his voice laced with desperation as he addressed the woman among the trio. "Horn is torturing Grandpa! He pulled out my immortal bones! He killed them all!"

The woman, Meng Yan, was Su Wu's mother, and she was flanked by two men—Meng Kang, her brother, and Meng Ze, her nephew. They were members of the Meng family from Kunlun Mountain.

Horn's eyes glinted as he recognized them. The Meng family was responsible for the method used to extract his immortal bones all those years ago. He had left a mark for them to follow, inviting this confrontation.

Meng Ze, consumed by rage, shouted from above, "You b*****d! Prepare to die!"
