Rewards

Kimi saw many familiar forms appear in front of her and said in a kind voice to reassure them. "You do not have to worry any longer, it has been solved and hopefully there should not be another repeat of this. You are all sate now and there will no longer be any loud noises or big dangers for the time being. Hopefully the officials can handle the rest well so that this does not happen again. Dad, do not worry. I was careful and came back unharmed. See?"

She showed that she had no injuries while Misty wandered around the cave admiring the surroundings and the Pokémon that were gathered inside.

Some among them were the Pokémon belonging to Kimi's father which had caused Misty to become interested in them.

Kimi could sense the gratitude and closeness that the gathered Pokémon felt towards her and a group of Chansey were the first to step forward carrying something.

Two of them held a shiny looking stone that seemed to contain strong energy from the moon that was far more than an ordinary stone. "Chansey!"

Kimi looked down towards the stones and smiled as she reached out towards them. "For me? Thanks!"

They were high quality Moon Stones that had formed at the very centre of the cage where the moonlight shone down the brightest so they could be sold for a high price or would be useful for a future evolution to provide the most benefits once it was completed.

They were very rare and cost a lot just like the recent high quality Fire Stone she had acquired.

The Leaf Stones she dug up were only low to medium quality but they were able to provide her with enough Pokédollars for each one sold.

The Moon Stones were quite limited in their uses towards allowing evolutions for to get Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Wigglytuff, Clefable, Delcatty and Musharna so Kimi put them away to consider her future use for it.

The options were available to trade or sell them but they could also be considered as important gifts to foster relationships or to raise one of the possible evolutions in either of her teams.

There were several pre-evolutions of Clefable in front of her so if she decided to do so, she could try to get more on their good side to let one of them leave with her or she could simply catch one of them and risk losing the trust she built up.

Just as she was thinking over how to act, a small figure pushed through the crowd and ran to her feet. "Hm?"

She could sense that it seemed to have warm feelings towards her and acted very friendly.

Kimi lowered her body to its level and asked. "Do you want to come with me?"

It had a soft, smooth and light pink body that was shaped like an egg, on top of its head was a curly overgrowth that resembled a ponytail and a dark pink band around the base.

It had three round bumps on its forehead, two pink circles on its cheek and a pouch around the lower half of its body that was red with a white stripe around the top.

Kimi could sense that the aura of it was quite low which meant that it was low level and possibly a new born.

Happini seemed to be nodding while holding onto an egg shaped rock and expressed its joy once Kimi asked it if it wanted to join her. "Happini!"

Kimi thought to herself as she removed a Luxury Ball and held it out towards Happini. 'Well.. this is lucky enough on its own. I just got Moon Stones, a possible healer to save healing costs that can be used for helping with the breeding profession too and I have yet to check over the spoils from the others I defeated and robbed.

Perhaps it better that I do not he too greedy here, Clefable would do just about the same as Happini could once fully evolved but Happini would be able to be kept on the sidelines once its usefulness runs out. Clefable may be replaced by something else later no matter what team it was a part of. That rules out Clefable for possible Moon Stone evolutions then.'

If Kimi was asked what her end goal was or her dream then she would be unable to answer right away.

She had a background as a police officer but did not want to do that anymore but still found herself getting involved in certain situations.

The difference between the present and her past experiences was that she was acting more selfishly and was not willing to completely sacrifice herself for the sake of duty without being rewarded for it.

In the present, she had encountered some situations and took care of her own safety but had been rewarded greatly and received far more recognition than before.

It was like the luck she had was very low and her efforts were not met with rewards but then that suddenly changed upon regressing and her luck had risen along with how others recognised her for her talent and achievements.

On the path she was walking, she had several options to just become a powerful trainer, bounty hunter or mercenary but there were still choices to make about her dark identity and how she would make use of the knowledge she held like the knowledge about certain items or from the breeder profession.

Her options were not that limited and if she wanted to do so, Kimi could just give everything up and become a lazy rich person who does breeding or cooking as a side job or hobby.

The problem was that doing so would affect the growth of her companions and she would not get to see much of the world that she missed out on in her previous life.

Not everything was completely stable in the world and there were always forces moving around causing problems so Kimi needed the power to protect herself.

One option was training her aura to a high level but that was not enough, Kimi needed a balanced team that could support her.

Whether she would intentionally run into danger or it would come upon her was yet to be known but from her current experiences, Kimi had come to know that certain things could not be avoided.

The route between Pewter City and Cerulean City being cut off would delay her journey greatly and the things that were being transported from her previous home would be unable to reach Cerulean City for a long time so she had to act even if she did not wish to do so.

The ongoing problems could affect her journey with her father and bring her into the trouble anyways so it would be difficult to reach Cerulean City safely while the moving homes would be greatly delayed if the events had taken place as Kimi remembered it.

It was a part of a task to check it out on the way so she would be rewarded for completing it but she had done extra to make sure her own journey was not delayed and was rewarded for it in the process so she could not complain.

Happini jumped forward and pushed herself against the button of the Luxury Ball then was sucked inside after it opened up. "Happini!"

The Luxury Ball closed after Happini disappeared and a familiar sound was head by Kimi which confirmed the success of the catch. "Dad, Misty.. We should leave now and head back to the city."

She made a slight bow towards the others and started to climb back through the small gap while being followed by Misty and her father.

Many cheerful and grateful voices were heard from within until Kimi was further away and could no longer hear them.

Kimi made a quick trip to grab what had been hidden and packed them away before carrying everything back out with her without checking over her gains right away.

They soon found themselves outside of Mount Moon and walked towards Cerulean City.

Her father watched as Kimi was followed by a Happini, Growlithe and Espeon as she was sharing some tips and experiences with Misty. 'It is nice to see her with someone that could be a potential friend. She has been so serious lately and has achieved so much that I can forget that she is still just a kid.'
