I narrow my eyes at him, struggling to hold onto any shred of willpower I have left. “Do you even realize how much of a problem you’re becoming for me? I don’t understand you. I’m just trying to be on a normal date for once.”
“Your problem isn’t me. Your problem is that no one can compete for you because I won the second you first laid eyes on me.” His cocky smirk is back and my palm itches to slap the irresistible look right off of his face. “Tell me something, firecracker. When you look into another guy’s eyes, are you thinking and wishing they were mine? When you see them smile, am I the one crossing your mind?” I stay frozen, my eyes darting away from him until I hear a low chuckle come from him. “You not answering is answer enough. I know you see me instead. And it’s killing you, huh?”
“Go to hell.” I shove at him again and make him all the more amused.
“And leave you here all alone?”
I sigh. “Why do you insist on making me hate you?”
