Willingly Sincere Rem

Rem: Zero Volume 4, Chapter: 48! Tion_Official.

Previously... Rem was ready for her new job as a maid, and it took a while before she found the right size for her. She then starts working, even though she cut herself a few times, but she was proud of it! Eventually Rem overcomes her fears of this hard work and she swallowed it all and became a hard worker! She was going to become a third wheel for Subaru and Emilia, but all was ended and Rem is back from her fearful self when she returned by death unknowingly.

Rem seeing her hands with no wounds or cuts from the knife, or the dog bite, and something similar has happened… There's no denying that Rem did die…

[Rem] H...how…? How did I…

Horrified, Rem clenches both of her hands as she tries not to cry about the overwhelming feelings of embarrassment and most especially stupidity. She was thinking about what will happen to tomorrow, she was thinking all of the possibilities of helping Subaru and Emilia grow their relationship towards each other… All of that… all of that talk she just showed Subaru and Ram here… She's really stupid from their presepctives and worrying.

Both Ram and Subaru checked on her to see if she was alright, she was sweating and she's having the urge to vomit as well.

[Subaru] Miss. Are you okay? You seem to be sick, and you seem to be stressed about something. Just lie down for now.

[Ram] Barusu, I think our guest is worried about something, but I can't tell what it is.

Rem looks at both of them, looking at her with concern in their eyes. They're not concerned because Rem was freaking out, but mostly…

Rem has been forgotten by them. Those five days… were a waste…

Rem sits up and slides out of the bed, standing up, as Ram who was in the way tried to make Rem just lay down, since she was sick, but Rem whose hope is lost runs out of the room, sobbing, as she just lost something she just did. Now… She's not sure if she can do it again…

She's not sure if she can do things all over again…

Rem opens a door and gets inside and she pants as she slides down to the floor where she continues to be upset.

[You know, I don't like you barging in, without knocking, You annoy me alot.]

The voice who called out was Beatrice. Rem seems to have gotten inside of the forbidden archive again. She doesn't know, but that's none of her concerns right now.

[Rem] I'm sorry… Please let me just sorrow in my own shame for a minute… I won't disturb you…

[Beatrice] Seriously, it happened once and it happened the second time. Now this is the third time you've opened the door and came here. How did you even pass through this door?

Rem doesn't want to answer right now…

She's very upset and she doesn't want questions to be a problem right now…

[Rem] Wait hold on, Beatrice!

[Beatrice] Who told you to call me by my first name? I find it annoying but I suppose you're annoying yourself.

[Rem] A-Anyway, you said I passed through your door thrice now, right?

Beatrice flips another page of her book, she doesn't want to cooperate with her, but the only way to just get rid of her is to just talk to her.

Beatrice looks at Rem for a second before looking back at her book.

[Beatrice] You actually passed two times. The first time you opened the door and closed it without entering. The second time, you managed to open the door again, and this time you came in. It all happened three to four hours ago. Right now, this is the third time you passed here, I suppose.

Rem looks down as she thinks about this.

[Rem] Do you remember me?

[Beatrice] If I can, I want to erase your existence in my memory. But to answer your question, I do. As I said, three to four hours ago. Though you are quite interesting seeing that you managed to stand after what I did to you.

[Rem] That's not very soothing to hear…

Rem leans on the wall as she counts her deaths and the checkpoints she's been through…

Rem is starting to doubt this is a video game thing, there's no proof of it.

Nothing at all. So then, it's only decided that Rem is in another world, but she has the power to go back to a checkpoint when she dies.

[Rem,talking to herself] First checkpoint was that appa guy… Second was here, where Subaru and Ram looked at me, not the first time I woke up... Thank goodness Beatrice didn't kill me… Otherwise I would be back at the capital… Doing things all over again…

Rem looks to the side as she scratches her head.

[Rem,talking to herself] Why did I die this time? Everything was going fine, and nothing was happening. It was all good, no one hated me, nor suspected me of anything… So how exactly?

… After all this, wondering has gone inside Beatrice's head as she closed her book and looked at Rem.

[Beatrice] I was thinking what are you muttering about. Whether alive or dead, discussing such things is boring and useless for a human like you, although I'm not sure even if you are a human. But in the end, it's just some fabricated words.

...Rem seeing Beatrice like this, made her think that everything hasn't really changed after all.

She gets up and looks at her.

[Rem] Thank you, Beatrice. You were a big help.

[Beatrice] You're welcome. I guess me talking to you made you more stupid, I suppose. In fact, I didn't even do anything, what made you think that I did something?

Rem stretches her arms and yawns and looks at Beatrice with a smile.

[Rem] I'm suddenly calm when relieved when your attitude is still the same. That's why I'm thanking you.

[Beatrice] You must be a pervert who calms down after an insult, it's actually pretty rare to see someone as you have that kind of thought, although rare, it's disgusting.

[Beatrice] You're leaving?

Rem nods as she turns to her.

[Rem] I am. I have something I need to be sure of. Depressing thoughts can visit me later.

Rem opens the door as she leaves to find Emilia, it took her a minute before finding Emilia outside, who seems to be looking for something, but in this case, she may be looking for Rem.

The sun was hurting Rem's eyes because it's too bright, but since it's morning, she can't really blame anyone or anything.

Rem just standing got Emilia's attention as she ran to her.

[Rem, Inner Speech] As expected, she was looking for me. I feel bad for running without a word…

[Emilia] First of all, I was worried! Because you disappeared after you woke up. Ram and Subaru are looking for you right now, they aren't aware that you're here right now.

Rem scratches the back of her head as she just nervously laughed.

[Rem] I'm sorry, I was held in Beatrice's place just now.

[Emilia] Again?

She checks on Rem as she looks at another direction.

[Emilia] I heard that before you woke up, she pranked you again, and-

Feeling the gaze, Emilia looks at Rem, who is looking at her, with a smile on her face.

[Emilia] Is there something wrong?

Emilia touches her face, looking worried and she looks at Rem.

[Emilia] I-Is there something on my face??

Rem nods.

[Rem] I see a beautiful lady in front of me, which I am proud to see.

Emilia looked at her, which Rem just realized what she just said to her, as Rem covered her red face. Rem tries to find an excuse, but changing the topic is found out to be better.

[Rem] A--nyways. I'm happy to see that you and Sir Subaru are alright.

[Emilia] Of course we're fine. We were saved by Remura after all.

She walked as she then stops, looking at Rem.

[Emilia] But are you feeling better?

Rem nods.

[Rem] I actually am feeling better, I may have an aching back and my magic was drained, and waking up shocked this morning took some of my energy too, also my head feels like it was just hit by a large boulder. But I'm very fine and healthy.

[Emilia] Is that so? That's great- Wait-!

Emilia looks at her, worrying again.

[Emilia] Doesn't that mean you're injured all ove-r-

Emilia noticed at the back of her hair, something was moving and it turns out to be Puck who looks like he just woke up.

[Puck] Good morning, Rem. What a fine morning it is.

He yawns as he talks.

-[I'm really thankful of what happened yesterday.. I should really do something in return for you..]

[Rem] If that's so, then please allow me to let me touch your fur and cuddle you whenever I want to!

[Emilia] W-wait. Are you sure? Is that enough??

Rem took Puck as she hugs him, appreciating the fur.

[Rem] It is actually. … We should probably go back inside. They two are still looking for me right? Let's not waste their time… Remura's adventure is starting, let's go, Mimilia.

Rem walks to the entrance as Emilia herself follows.

[Emilia] Of course! But hold on, what did you say just now? My name is Emilia, not Mimilia.

I don't know who killed me or what killed me, but that's not stopping me from trying again. I'll make sure to bring it all back, and whoever you are. I'm going to make you cry so much, I would actually find it entertaining… You've messed with the wrong girl. After looking at Emiliia's smile. I can tell that she is actually willing to go, which I won't just let go since I was thinking of a good future for her and Subaru after all. I may not be the best at being in a relationship, but I can be the best at forming one… I don't want death, but that's not going to stop me.

[Roswaal] Now, state your desired wish. I can assure you, you will get anything you want.

Rem stands up as she puts her hands on her waist.

[Rem] Is that so? Well then, I have two wishes. Please hire me to work here as a maid, and I would like extra pillows for my bed!
