A short summary of the NDF

The National Defence Forces (NDF) is the official name of the combine forces of all the military branches. The NDF is headed by the Joint Operations Command (JOC).

Joint Operations Command (JOC) is the operational level headquarters responsible for the command and control of the NDF operations worldwide.

Currently, the total manpower of the NDF is 56,000 active personnel and 280,000 reserve personnel.

Each branch of the NDF maintains a QRF or SF unit, this policy was put in place in 1992. After the need for special warfare units arose.

National Ground Defence Force (NGDF) - is the largest branch of the NDF and is the land warfare branch of the NDF. Prior to the events of Demetrius Touch, the NGDF had a special forces unit, the Army Rangers Wing (ARW) established in 1992, at the time. It was the most modernised unit of the NGDF. And potential recruits of the unit underwent training at Fort Terrence by Ossettian Green Berets for 2 months. The members of the unit staged a mutiny in the winter of 2005.

National Air Defence Force (NADF): the air warfare branch of the NDF. Entrusted with safeguarding the skies of the republic, for this reason the NADF maintains a fleet of highly modified fixed wing fighter jets originally manufactured by the ULSR in the 80s and later modernised for the modern aerial warfare with the help of the Emmerian government. The NADF maintains a special forces unit called the Critical Reaction Force (CRF), established in 1992, it is primarily a quick reaction force to respond to situation they require tactical and swift action. The CRF receive training from the Emmerian 22nd Special Recon Squadron in Urban Warfare and Jungle Warfare at Camp Oslo outside of City B.

National Maritime Defence Force (NMDF): the naval warfare branch of the NDF. It is the smallest branch in the NDF, with only 30,000 personnel. It maintains a special forces unit called 1st Marine Intervention Group (MIG), established in 1992. They nicknamed "Merman" by Etruscan paras for attribute of being fast swimmers. The unit was dispatched to help with the peacekeeping mission in Medici in 1998, where they proved their skills as capable soldiers in the battle of Savoi, where the 1st MIG unit alongside a Zhongguan contingent repelled a attack by Etruscan paras on the village.
