Prologue

Kevin's POV

The moment I woke up late, I knew it was going to be a bad day. My jaw stiffened and so did the hold on the paper tightened.

The paper responsible for my bad mood. Angry thoughts clammored in my head as I took heavy steps.

I wasn't chosen and nothing had ever hurt me as much as that. The mathematical competition I studied hard for got off my grip and not to anyone else but my rival, Jordan.

We competed over everything in the university's premises. Being the sport's captain, being the best student, the girl's crushes, nothing was left out.

Or I should say he competed with me because whenever I have interest in something, Jordan made it a habit to get into a fierce battle; one I had always won until that moment.

Jordan was going for the competition and it drove me crazy. As I stepped into the big hall where the students were, I paused at the number of eyes that pierced me before a student walked up to me.

"Sorry dude, you lost, it must be so embarrassing, isn't it?" He mocked and the rest of his gang burst into laughter.

One that cut through my heart and made my fist clench. The urge to grab the guy's head and dig it into the wall gripped me but I contained it and turned, heading to the room she stayed in.

She. A smile broke on my lips as her face popped up in my head. Callie. She bore the most beautiful and unique name ever and she was my girlfriend; mine.

"Kevin," I heard the feminine voice and I saw one of the female students with a smile if not a smirk on her face. Was she there to taunt me?

"Boys' area," her smile deepened as my brows furrowed, "Callie is hosting a surprise for you. Room 24."

"Enjoy and I'm sorry about your failure," she patted my shoulders as I watched her leave.

So everyone knows I lost? It angered me but at the same time, my heart missed different beats at the thought of Callie hosting a surprise.

Maybe because I lost. If she could plan surprises for me everytime I lose, I'd gladly lose.

I hastened my steps heading to our part of the dorm that we shared for the party we hosted and in no time, my eyes rested on the room.

24.

Filthy sounds filled my ears and I scoffed. Why'd Callie pick a surprise room next to filthy people?

I got to the door and the moans intensified and for a second, my heartbeat stopped at a thought before I took my hands to the door, pushing it open and there — my thoughts came true.

The sound was from the room. My Callie.

My eyes widened at the scene. There Callie was, a guy parting her thighs widely as he pounded into her recklessly, without mercy, her moans filling the room.

"Callie," her name dropped out of my mouth subconsciously as every cell in me stopped functioning.

She gasped and sat upright on the table, her body taut with shock and the guy fucking her turned around and the migraine hit me.

Jordan. My Callie cheated with Jordan.

The shock hit me repeatedly, intertwining with my already stressed and angry self and a gasp before laughter was all I heard before my legs failed me and everything went blank.
