Once inside the car, I shed my confidence. I had only shown it before so that Ari wouldn’t worry.
In truth, my mood was tense and uneasy.
“Dad, what’s your plan next?” I asked him who was sitting next to me leisurely with a relaxed look on his face.
He was looking at a worn book and said, “Try to relax, my daughter, and when we reach the border, don’t reveal that we are there to investigate Dagon’s hideout.”
I rolled my eyes at him.
Of course, I knew not to reveal our purpose of going there, or we wouldn’t be going there secretly with him in another appearance.
“Here.” He handed me the book and added, “There are many spells there. You can learn some new spells while we are on the way.”
