Reincarnation of the strongest sword god-reincarnating once more

This is a fanfic of the novel "Reincarnation of The Strongest Sword God" by Lucky Old Cat, where, after ten years of fighting in the Greater God's Domain, Shi Feng reincarnates once again. Note: I might change some things and come up with new ways of how things work in my fanfic that are different from the original novel, as well as ignore some things said in it and the Side Story continuation. If someone hasn't read the continuation where he comes back to the original timeline (where he got fired from Shadow), you might not understand some things. Also, I'm not a very creative person so a lot of stuff, or at least the happenings and items, will be the same, and I might copy stuff and ideas from other fanfics. Note: I will try to make the characters have more emotion and add some romance, but don't expect much. The cover for this story doesn't belong to me. If you're the owner and want me to take it down, contact me at tdi547165@gmail.com

Feng used Observing Eyes on the Atrocity, wanting to find out more of its information.

[Atrocity] (High Chieftain)

Level 25

HP 50,000,000

Seeing the Atrocity's information and the system notification, Feng guessed that he had somehow fulfilled a special condition, which caught the Evil God's attention, resulting in it triggering an Emergency Trial and sending an Atrocity one tier higher then him. Though, just because the Atrocity was only a High Chieftain, that didn't mean its power was only at Tier 1.

The Atrocity in front of Feng had a very high life rating, similar to the Primordial Beasts. From its aura, Feng guessed that, despite it only being a Tier 1 High Chieftain, the Atrocity's attributes and combat power were at the Peak of Tier 2.

This wasn't Feng's first time encountering such a situation. In fact, triggering special events wasn't that rare of an occurrence for Feng, as he had often found himself in situations of both great risk and opportunity ever since he reincarnated for the first time; in both his own God's Domain and the Greater God's Domain.

Though, whenever there was a special condition that could be fulfilled or triggered, it was usually a completion rate of some event, doing something within a certain time frame, having an item that had some connection to what you were doing, using a special technique, or even something like having been to a certain place beforehand, meeting someone or having some being's Legacy.

However, the Twelve Trials were different, as they didn't have any of those that could trigger a special event. You only have to beat the Twelve Trials' guardians and pass.

As Feng was trying to figure out what had caused the Evil God to send an Atrocity here, and whether or not some outside factors had been responsible, his thoughts and sight stopped at his full health bar, which has not moved ever since he had stepped into the Twelve Trials; or actually, ever since he had reincarnated again.

'Did I show off too much?' Feng wondered if him not losing any HP was the cause for the current situation. Although there were plenty of situations where he could have lost some HP, especially the Phoenix's first kamikaze attempt, Feng had figured that since he could avoid taking any damage, then why not?

With Feng's current knowledge and standards, and as long as all of his plans succeed, he'll be practically invincible in the near future; so it'd be a bit embarrassing if he came close to dying or lost HP to a Tier 0 creature. Even if no one knew about it, It would probably bother Feng at the back of his mind in the future. Only, he hadn't expected that him putting in some effort in keeping his damage receiving record clean would result in this.

Feng was unsure, though, if this was really the case, or if some unknown factor had caused, or notified, the Evil God. After all, Feng already knew that there was someone working for the Evil God in the War God Temple's upper echelons.

ROARR!

A loud, ear-piercing roar echoed, as the Atrocity flapped its scaly wings and rushed towards Feng. With its current speed at the Peak Tier 2 standard, even if Feng was in his peak condition, he'd have to put in some effort into dodging the Atrocity's attack. But with his current exhausted self, keeping up with the Atrocity became impossible.

Within a few seconds, the Atrocity reached Feng and swung one of its arms to slash him with its claws. As the attack was about to connect with the motionless Feng, he suddenly disappeared, reappearing behind the Atrocity using Silent Steps and causing the claw attack to miss.

Feng aimlessly swung the Abyssal Blade in the Atrocity's direction, sending three streaks of thunder flying before switching to the Aura of Space.

Thundering Flash!

Space Movement!

Despite its first attack missing, the Atrocity wasn't discouraged at all. It quickly sensed that the human had suddenly appeared behind it and launched an attack at it, so it immediately swung its lizard tail at Feng without looking back. The three thunder streaks where struck down without even slowing down or leaving any marks on the Atrocity's tail as it continued its journey to smash Feng while splitting the air in its path.

However, it only passed through the place where Feng and the spatial crack formed by Space Movement were just at.

The Atrocity narrowed its already thin eyes for a second after noticing its target had disappeared, before letting out a loud, enraged roar.

Feng stepped out of the spatial crack at the edge of the trial grounds. The size of the spaces where Twelve Trials were taking place differed with the difficulty of the trial. The first three Basic level trials were around the size of a quarter of a map in the outside world; with each being slightly larger than the one before. The Intermediate level trials' sizes were around a third of a map, while the Advanced ones around half of a map.

As for the final three Peak Trials, Feng knew that the 10th trial's space was around two thirds of a map. Although Feng wasn't sure about the 11th trial, since he killed the Reaper Leviathan too quickly, after chasing the Phoenix all around for over an hour, he estimated that the 12th trial, in which they were standing in right now, was nearly as big as a regular map.

Although it was quite big for a trial ground, with the Tier 1 Space Movement, Feng had no trouble teleporting from one side of the trial to the other. So Feng had teleported to the furthest edge away from the Atrocity in order to have as much time as possible to recover his Stamina, even if by just a little.

"How troublesome." Feng mumbled to himself and rubbed his forehead as he listened to the Atrocity's roars that echoed through out the entire trial ground.

He had originally thought that the fight with the Phoenix would be the final one, so Feng didn't think there was a need to hold back and didn't bother conserving his Stamina. If Feng had known that there would be another fight waiting for him after he dealt with the kamikaze bird, he would have held back and been more cautious; especially if it was against an Atrocity at the Peak Tier 2 standard.

After witnessing the Atrocity's intelligence and Reaction Speed from its last attack, Feng figured that he wouldn't be able to use basic tactics to kill it. Moreover, the damages of -1,791, -2,507 and -3,510 that resulted from his Thundering Flash weren't making him optimistic of his chances in wiping out the Atrocity's 50 million HP considering his current situation.

With his current Stamina and Concentration, even fleeing from the Atrocity would prove to be troublesome, not mention killing it.

Of course... he wasn't completely out of options.

'Am I really gonna have to use it?' Feng hesitated as he took out a finger sized, chocolate colored sword from his bag.

[Steroid] (Consumable)

Increases all Attributes by 80%, Stamina by 100% and Stamina recovery rate by 300% for 20 minutes. After the end of the duration, player's Concentration decreases by 50% and is under the Overdose effect for 2 hours. There is a 50% for Strength to be permanently increased from 5 to 15 points (Increase will be triggered up to a maximum of five times).

Cooldown: 10 hours

Created by Intermediate Master Chef, Violet Cloud.

'Why does she have to name her inventions so weirdly?' Feng sighed helplessly as he looked at the chocolate sword's description.

At some point in Feng's previous life, after Violet didn't have anything immediate that she had to do, she had started cooking again and increasing her mastery in it, eventually becoming a Basic Craftsmen Chef; though, she might have been able to go even higher if she hadn't been so busy with her other responsibilities in Zero Wing.

Through out her leveling up her Chef Mastery and afterwards, Violet had created plenty of impressive dishes, with her latest ones giving incredible effects even to Tier 6 players; and one of them even became one of the Greater God's Domain's Top 10 Dishes, earning Violet quite a lot of fame in the cooking industry.

Of course, that came with some problems, as plenty of powers were now wanting to recruit Violet for her dishes, along with her talent in fighting, with one Apex power's Guild Leader wanting to recruit her to simply be his cook.

Naturally, they were all told to scram by Feng, which resulted in Feng earning himself a couple more enemies. Not that Feng cared, though. At that point in time, he already had made too many enemies to count because of his unyielding attitude, so what did a few more in order to protect Violet matter to Feng?

However, what made Feng, and the rest of the Greater God's Domain, speechless was Violet's naming habit. She always gave her invented dishes some odd names and, for some reason, many of them were named after drugs either from their world or the Greater World. Feng hadn't been exactly sure what to make of her naming style, and after asking her about it, Feng eventually put it to the back of his mind.

Although the naming was a bit weird, Feng didn't care as the effects of Violet's dishes were amazing, only, he still remembered the odd looks people gave him whenever he sold or showed the information of Violet's dishes.

But, none of that mattered now, and it most certainly wasn't because of the name that Feng was hesitant to consume this sweet-looking little sword. Instead, it was because of the Overdose effect it gave after its duration ends.

Violet had given Feng three of these Steroids after they left the Demon Castle, and out of curiosity, Feng had tried one during his mining of the Seven Luminaries Mountain after he ran out of Stamina. The effects of the Steroid were as great as he expected, and Feng quickly had enough Stamina to continue mining, while his overall mining speed increased.

Twenty minutes later, however, Feng instantly regretted his decision of trying it out.

As he felt the world spinning, saw the Seven Luminaries Mountain suddenly extending from the sky instead of the ground, and his phantom miners looking like fluffy animals, Feng realized that he might have underestimated the side effects of Violet's creation.

Thankfully, he managed to snap out of it pretty quickly. But if not for Feng having the experience of him once accidently consuming some oddly colored mushrooms in the Greater World's wilderness, as well as his high will power, Feng might have been in a much worse situation.

This was why Feng was hesitant in using the Steroid now, and why he hadn't even considered it during the fight with the Phoenix. After all, not only could the Phoenix revive, but it could also fly away from Feng after noticing his increase in Strength and wait for the Steroid's duration to end. Feng would be pretty much screwed at that point, so he had never bothered thinking of it as an option unless the Phoenix was on its last life and Feng got desperate.

'At least I can still bu- Motherfucker' Feng had originally thought that he could still buy some items from the War God Temple's treasury in order to make the fight easier, even if he wasted a few points, but Feng discovered that space had been sealed in the trial, and he was no longer able to access the treasury through the system.

Roar!

'Whatever... I didn't want to waste any points because of that bastard anyway.' The faint sound of the Atrocity's roar that was getting closer to him made Feng stop hesitating, as he tossed the chocolate sword into his mouth. Feng enjoyed the sweet taste and boost that came from consuming the Steroid for a moment, before switching his attention to the system notifications he got after clearing the Twelve Trials.

After receiving all the EXP for killing the Phoenix and the reward, Feng had gotten very close to Level 29, with only a few more hundred points needed to level up.

With the Skill Proficiency Points Feng received, his Double Chop and Earth Splitter reached Tier 1 Level 1, while he got the last bit needed for Thundering Flash from attacking the Atrocity just now, resulting in it reaching Tier 1 as well. Apart from those, Thunder Flame Explosion, Wind Blade and Defensive Blade were similarly close to Tier 1; while Windwalk's level was pretty high. As for Parry, it would still be Level 1 if not for the Proficiency Points Feng received from clearing the trials, since the number of times he had used it can be counted on one hand.

Meanwhile, Feng had 170 unused Free Mastery Points, which he immediately put into his One-handed Sword Mastery, having it reach 630 points and upgrading it to Intermediate Sword King; now doing 110% more damage when using one-handed swords.

Feng then switched his gaze to the newly acquired title.

[Trial Clearer] (Title)

Proof of beating the War God's Temple's hardest trial, the Twelve Trials. Reputation with the War God's Temple increased by 100 points. Reputation in all Kingdoms and Empires increased by 100 points. Damage dealt to Primordial Beasts increased by 200%.

Although the Trial Clearer title was great for reputation, it was currently useless to Feng, so he decided to keep using the Might Of A Thousand title.

As Feng finished sorting out his gains, the Atrocity's flying silhouette appeared in the distance, and Feng narrowed his eyes to examine it.

Due to the surprise appearance and quick attack of the Atrocity, Feng previously didn't have the time to properly check it out before having to teleport away, and now that he fully inspected it, Feng was surprised by the quality of the Atrocity. After killing many Atrocities in his previous life, Feng had acquired plenty of information on them and more or less understood their characteristics and the requirements to make one.

Not all Atrocities are the same, as the Evil God used the components of many creatures in order to create the monsters. Depending on the amount of different and more powerful creatures used, the strength and bloodline density of the Atrocity will be much greater.

Of course, not just any random creature can be used in making an Atrocity. Monsters with powerful strength and bloodline, being at least Archaic Species or on that level, are necessary, with Ferocious Beasts being used to create more powerful ones; while the Evil God sometimes used Primordial Beasts to make the Atrocities with the highest grade.

Moreover, there is a limit to the amount of how much could be used in creating an Atrocity depending on their tier. Although Feng wasn't sure on the limit for a Tier 1 Atrocity, since the lowest one he had seen was at least Tier 4, with the highest being a Tier 6 Atrocity with over a thousand pairs of arms, he guessed that an Atrocity like this one would be considered the best among Tier 1s, and the Evil God would have had to put in a lot of effort and resources into making it.

'Aza must have went through a lot of trouble to make this thing and send it here' Feng felt his Stamina quickly recovering, and a faint smirk appeared on his face 'I wonder how pissed he'll be once I kill it.'

Amongst the clamor of the people in the Eternal Throne resulting from the surprise appearance of the Atrocity, the War God Temple's Temple Lord's stern and serious expression relaxed slightly when he saw that Feng was no longer looking as pale and exhausted. Knowing that Feng had consumed pretty much all of his Stamina against the Phoenix, the Temple Lord had originally been unsure if Feng would be able to survive against the Atrocity, and even began considering making a certain sacrifice to interrupt the Emergency Trial.

But now that Feng seemed to have recovered a decent amount of Stamina, perhaps he could even kill the Atrocity. After all, unlike the rest of the people in the Eternal Thorne, the Temple Lord could tell that this little guy was much stronger than he appeared. Not only does he have high strength despite only being a Tier 0 Sword Apprentice, he seems to have very rich combat experience as well as having high attainment in the Realms of Truth.

Although the rest of the people on the golden and silver thrones had noticed hints of the Realms of Truth within Feng's movements as well, they couldn't tell the depth of his mastery of the Realms of Truth, so they assumed it was simply a coincidence, or that Feng might have some small knowledge of the truth; since, from what they've seen, this little guy hadn't entered the Truth Realm yet.

However... he could tell.

As someone who has reached the Fate Realm[1], the Temple Lord could tell that this little guy had progressed far in the Realms of Truth, and he might have even reached the Transcendental Realm, which is higher than most of the War God Temple's higher-ups gathered here.

"Quiet" The Temple Lord's calm, yet stern voice instantly brought silence to the Eternal Thorne as his powerful aura and Divine Might radiated. The anxious people on the thrones calmed down slightly as they gazed at the Temple Lord. After all, not only had the Atrocities appearance startled them, the evil aura that it gave off made them instinctively frightened. Even though they could tell that the strength of the Atrocity was low, and that they could crush it with one finger, the faint aura of the Primordial Evil God on it still put them on edge.

Moreover, the powerful evil aura that appeared for a split second in the trial ground when the Atrocity appeared had thoroughly frightened them, as they had never felt such a strong aura; even from the Temple Lord.

"That little guy will be fine."

The Temple Lord's words greatly confused the people in the Eternal Throne. Anyone could tell that Feng had already used up pretty much all of his Stamina, and even if he hadn't, there was no guarantee that Feng would be able to defeat the Atrocity. After all, he had already struggled in defeating the Phoenix so much, so how could he defeat the Atrocity who was an entire tier higher in strength?

Little did they know that they simply hadn't yet seen Feng's true strength. The 1st to 10th trials didn't require Feng to show his true capabilities, while the 11th trial ended too quickly with Feng instantly killing the Reaper Leviathan. As for the 12th trial? It was only such a hassle to clear because the Phoenix was Feng's hard counter with its fire immunity, high physical resistance, revival abilities and it being able to fly.

Although the Atrocity's attributes were much higher than the Phoenix, it didn't have many troublesome abilities and characteristics like the Phoenix, thus the difficulty of killing the Atrocity was much less.

In fact, instead of a threat, to the not-out-of-Stamina Feng, the Atrocity was an opportunity to gain additional benefits from the Twelve Trials. As long as Feng can do enough damage to outpace its natural battle recovery, that is.

But the Temple Lord didn't seem like he was planning on explaining the truth of the situation, as he merely switched his gaze to the water screen displaying the scene of the Atrocity getting closer to Feng, and Feng who started charging at the Atrocity.

---

Aura of Fire!

Phantom Kill!

Windwalk!

Feng started charging at the Atrocity and switched to the Aura of Fire while summoning his doppelganger, which immediately used Windwalk to pull ahead and take over the charge in the front. Very quickly, the doppelganger was within the Atrocity's striking range, while Feng was ten yards behind it.

The Atrocity swiped its claws at the doppelganger, deciding to first get rid of the clone its prey had summoned before switching to its real target. As a High Chieftain with very high intelligence, the Atrocity could faintly sense the differences between Feng and his doppelganger, so it knew who was its main prey and didn't immediately get distracted by the doppelganger.

However, when the Atrocity's claw had covered half the distance to its target, the doppelganger suddenly exerted strength in its legs and jumped high in the air towards the Atrocity's creepy face. The Atrocity was caught off guard for a moment by the doppelganger's sudden action, as it didn't expect the doppelganger to be able to react to its speed judging from its prey's slow reaction from when it first came here and attacked, but it quickly reacted by swiping up at the doppelganger with its already extended claw arm.

As the doppelganger was in mid air and unable to dodge, it was forced to block the Atrocity's attack with its sword, but unlike the sight of the doppelganger getting cut apart by its claws that the Atrocity thought would appear, the doppelganger used Parry and got sent flying high in the air by the Atrocity's powerful strength as soon as the claw and sword collided.

When the doppelganger was sent flying above its head, the Atrocity was planning to attack with some of its other hands to rip the annoying ant apart, but it suddenly detected that its main prey had quickly arrived next to it.

While the Atrocity had switched its focus and swiped its claw at the doppelganger which had jumped high in the air, Feng had used the opportunity to use Windwalk and increase his speed. By the time the Atrocity noticed his sudden movements, Feng had already arrived at its feet and switched places with his doppelganger, which immediately used the Tier 1 Thundering Flash.

Five streaks of blue thunder flew out at the Atrocity from the doppelganger's Abyssal Blade. Reacting quickly, the Atrocity used one of its pincers to block the lightning streaks, however, as if they had a mind of their own, the thunder streaks switched directions and avoided the Atrocity's pincer before striking its ginormous chest.

-2,754, -3,856, -10,796, -7,557, -10,580

Even though the doppelganger had less attributes than Feng, the damage brought by the Tier 1 Thundering Flash was much greater than Feng's previous attack.

Nine Dragon Slash!

Above the Atrocity, as the doppelganger had cast Thundering Flash, Feng had summoned twelve phantom Abyssal Blades and flipped upside down while controlling one of the phantom Abyssal Blades to fly behind his feet. Feng then pushed himself off the phantom Abyssal Blade at full force and sent himself flying downwards at high speeds towards the Atrocity's head, before switching places with his doppelganger again and using his own Thundering Flash.

Before the Atrocity could figure out how the thunder streaks got past its defenses, it saw the human send another five thunder streaks flying at it. Moreover, it could sense the other one was rapidly approaching it from above as well. Facing attacks from below and above it at the same time, the Atrocity displayed its high intelligence.

It took a step back while using both pincers and demon hands to strike at all five thunder streaks, while its third pair of hands with claws slashed at Feng. Meanwhile, the Atrocity's tentacle hair moved and shot towards the doppelganger above it.

Although the Atrocity's response to Feng's attacks was great, and it might have been able to counter a regular player, its attempts were useless against Feng. Despite the Atrocity's arms moving at a fast speed, the five thunder streaks still managed to avoid them and strike the Atrocity, resulting in damages of -21,145, -29,603, -41,444, -58,021, -81,229 to appear, while its attacks at Feng were easily dodged, and Feng had even slightly closed the distance between him and the Atrocity.

As for above the Atrocity, the doppelganger activated Defensive Blade and used sword lights while coordinating with the phantom Abyssal Blades to slash apart the tentacles, and also bounce off the phantom swords in order to get closer to it, rendering the Atrocity's attempts to distance itself and get out of Feng's and the doppelganger's attack range useless.

The Atrocity, though, didn't give up. It now used all six arms to attack Feng who was on the ground, while its cut apart tentacles swiftly regenerated and continued attacking the doppelganger who was getting closer to its heads along with the rest of its tentacles.

Feng easily avoided the three pairs of different arms and circled around the Atrocity, before dashing towards its back, when the Atrocity suddenly swiped its lizard tail at him. As the tail was gigantic and covered most of the ground in front and behind Feng with its swipe, and Feng's strength wasn't enough to block it without using his powerful skills, Feng was forced to jump in order do avoid it. As soon as Feng was in mid air, the Atrocity's scorpion tail moved and pierced towards him from above at a fast speed.

Just as the scorpion tail was about to pierce through Feng and nail him to the ground, or simply instantly kill him, Feng seemed to step off air and shot towards the ground in the Atrocity's direction, causing the scorpion tail to miss and pierce deep into the ground.

Treading Cloud!

After landing, Feng used Wind Blade and dashed towards the Atrocity. At the same time, the tentacles above the Atrocity converged and shot towards the doppelganger. Unable to dodge or cut through so many tentacles in one spot, the doppelganger raised its sword with the power of thunder and fire gathering on it before slashing at the approaching tentacles.

Thunder Flame Explosion!

The Atrocity was placed in a Fainted state and its remaining tentacles that weren't burned and destroyed by the skill paused momentarily. With its high resistance to control skills, the Atrocity quickly awakened from the Fainted state, however, Feng had already reached its back and used his own Thunder Flame Explosion to send the Atrocity into a Fainted state again, while also using Abyssal Bind to restrain the Atrocity.

On the other side, the doppelganger had activated Wind Blade as well and already arrived at the Atrocity's head while standing on one of the phantom Abyssal Blades. Then, both Feng's and the doppelganger's swords lit up like miniature suns.

Flame Burst! x2

Ten Extreme Slashes! x2

Ten Extreme Slashes! x2

-7,401,650, -3,406,978, -7, 299,718, -3,313,892

In an instant, over 40% of the Atrocity's HP was gone; but Feng wasn't done yet as he used the opportunity of the Atrocity still being in Abyssal Bind and not having recovered from the high damage it just received to start hurling the rest of his skills at the Atrocity.

Firestorm!

Dragon Breath!

Flame God's Fury!

Chop!

Double Chop!

Earth Splitter!

As soon as he used up all of his skills, Feng switched places with the doppelganger once again to let it use all of its remaining skills while he activated Gravity Liberation to negate the fall damage.

By the time the doppelganger used up all of its skills and the Atrocity finally retaliated, it had lost over 23 million HP.

Although Feng had managed to take away nearly 50% of the Atrocity's HP in one go, it was only because he managed to chain literally all of his skills one after another with the Aura of Fire's damage increase and the Thundering Flashes high Damage Amplifications while catching the Atrocity off guard. The feat will be much harder to replicate again, but at least Feng now knew that it was possible for him to kill the Atrocity before the Steroid's duration ran out and he started tripping balls.

ROARRRRRR!

The Atrocity became thoroughly enraged after being dealt such high damage. The green lines on its body lit up slightly, and the Atrocity's speed seemed to increase. All six arms were brandished as the Atrocity used both physical attacks and skills in order to kill the two scuttling ants, only all of it to be for naught.

None of the Atrocity's attacks managed to land as Feng and the doppelganger nimbly dodged and dashed around, while using regular attacks and some skills that came off cooldown along with the phantom Abyssal Blades to harass the Atrocity.

When Thundering Flash's cooldown ended, the doppelganger, along with the phantom Abyssal Blades, charged at the Atrocity head on, while Feng approached its flank at a slower pace.

Despite the Atrocity's attempts to stop the charging doppelganger, the distance between them was getting smaller regardless, with all of its attacks getting either dodged or blocked by the twelve flying swords; and the doppelganger was quickly within attacking range, slashing its sword at the Atrocity.

Knowing that it was impossible for it to block the thunder streaks using its hands, the Atrocity didn't even bother trying this time. Instead, it folded its wings and wrapped them around itself to block the thunder streaks form hitting its vitals while twisting its lizard tail and attempting to strike the doppelganger who just attacked and revealed an opening. Naturally, that didn't work, and the tail swipe was dodged while the thunder streaks struck the Atrocity's folded wings, leaving faint dark spots on the wings' tough scales.

While the Atrocity was distracted with the Thundering Flash and using its wings to block it, Feng took the opportunity to dash forward and get close enough to use his Thundering Flash. However, when Feng was within range and about to slash with the Abyssal Blade, his instincts suddenly warned him of fatal danger.

Not questioning his instincts, Feng immediately swapped places with his doppelganger. The moment their places were swapped, out of nowhere, the ground behind the doppelganger cracked, and a scorpion's stinger shot out of the charred ground, stabbing through the doppelganger's back while lifting it in the air.

Before the doppelganger could free itself, the Atrocity unfolded its wings, while one of the pincers reached out and crushed the doppelganger's head.

The Atrocity revealed a proud look, thinking that it had finally killed its prey, but five thunder streaks informed the Atrocity that its plan had failed. Its three pairs of red, enraged eyes looked at Feng who was rushing towards it after using Thunder Flash, intending to do as much damage as possible with the rest of his skills before the Damage Amplification from the two Thundering Flashes runs out.

When Feng was within ten yards of the Atrocity and dodging its attacks, the sarcomas all over the Atrocity's body bulged, before exploding and spreading poisonous gas; earning a 'tch' of annoyance from Feng while he was forced to distance himself from the Atrocity.

Feng sheathed the Depth's Blade and a red needle appeared in his now empty hand as he was retreating, before he threw it into the poisonous fog. The Atrocity's poisonous gas seemed to be different from the Chimera's, as it didn't explode when it came in contact with the Blazing Meteor, with only some of it disappearing in the flames. Still, the Blazing Meteor did around -50,000 damage to the Atrocity.

As soon as the Blazing Meteor reappeared in Feng's hand, he immediately threw it at the Atrocity again. After scoring some hits on it with the Blazing Meteor, the Atrocity suddenly rushed out of the poison fog and flew at high speeds towards Feng.

Within a second, the Atrocity had reached Feng and attacked with its multiple arms. Although the Atrocity's attacks were both very fast and ferocious, none of them proved to be effective at Feng. Whatever attacks, skills or tactics the Atrocity tried, they were all easily dodged or counter-attacked by Feng.

Even though the Atrocity had tried pretty much everything it could think of and sometimes got close to landing an attack, where Feng had actually almost gotten hit by a surprise attack of the Atrocity's long pointy tongue, it couldn't deal a single point of damage to Feng. And quickly, Flame Burst's cooldown ended.

Thunder Flame Explosion sent the Atrocity into a Fainted state for a split second, and Feng used the opportunity to use up Flame Burst's attack count, dealing over 8 million damage to the Atrocity. With the damage he did with his regular attack and skills, the Atrocity only managed to regain one to two million HP from the initial damage Feng and the doppelganger did.

After that, the Atrocity kept trying to kill Feng, and even though it was unsuccessful every time, it still choose to keep trying and not run away like the Phoenix, which was a massive relief to Feng. If the Atrocity actually decided to fly away and run, Feng could only try to slow it down by using Wind Rider to fly after it and attacking more recklessly in hopes of the Atrocity stopping. But if the Atrocity was smart enough, it could simply chose to tank his hits, since Feng couldn't do enough damage to it without Flame Burst.

Another two minutes later, Flame Burst's cooldown ended, and Feng repeated the same routine once again. Although it practically made him into a one-trick pony, Feng had to rely on Flame Burst in order to keep up with the Atrocity's recovery.

Phantom Kill's cooldown ended a minute after that, but Feng waited another minute before summoning it in order to be able to use Flame Burst in coordination with the doppelganger, and he also activated Black Emperor in preparation.

Phantom Kill!

Black Emperor!

Seeing Feng's doppelganger appear along with the dark fog that came out of the human's sword made the Atrocity instinctively feel that something bad was about to happen. Although the Atrocity tried its best to stop them, Feng and the doppelganger quickly approached it and fired volleys of thunder streaks at it, before the Flame Bursts came.

-7,208,293, -3,389,170, -7, 599,216, -3,354,911

However, as soon as the hits landed and the Atrocity's HP dropped below 50%, and before Feng and his doppelganger could follow up with more attacks, the green lines all over the Atrocity's body glew and grew longer, connecting with one another and giving off a weird aura while making the Atrocity's pitch-black scales turn slightly green as well. The Atrocity's strength and speed seemed to increase as it broke out of the Abyssal Bind and slashed at Feng and the doppelganger, who hurriedly dodged.

The Atrocity flapped its wings and flew high in the air while opening its mouth wide and shooting a dark beam at the two of them. Feng and the doppelganger both avoided the dark beam which left a ten meter deep hole in the charred ground.

Seemingly not having the intention to go back down on the ground with the two humans there, the Atrocity kept flying higher while continuously shooting dark beams from its mouth.

"Do you really think you'll be safe from me if you fly in the air?" Feng's lips curved upward at the sight of the Atrocity trying to attack from above.

Rocket Boost!

Nine Dragon Slash!

Feng summoned twelve phantom Abyssal Blades and switched places with the doppelganger who then stood on one of them, while flames burst out from his feet. The Rocket Boots sent him flying in the air after the Atrocity while the doppelganger flew on one of the phantom Abyssal Blades behind him at a much slower pace. Feng wasn't planning on waiting for the doppelganger as he flew upwards at max speed.

Many dark beams tried to prevent his ascent, but were all dodged, and Feng was quickly catching up with the Atrocity. When he was within thirty yards from it, a water whip extended from the Depth's Blade, and Feng quickly brandished it at the Atrocity, creating a galaxy of blue stars.

The Atrocity attempted to defend itself from the blue stars using its six arms and countless tentacles, and mostly succeeded, as the arms and tentacles blocked close to all of the water whip's hits; while the rest landed on non-lethal parts.

Although the damage brought by each of the strikes was decent with the damage increase from the Aura of Fire and two Thundering Flashes, along with the Elongated Water Blade's own boost, the overall damage was less than the Atrocity's passive battle recovery; so this much wasn't a threat.

However, Feng wasn't aiming for the quality of the strikes, but the highest quantity.

After around ten seconds, Feng used Silent Steps to appear next to one of the Atrocity's giant wings while spending around 25 layers of Death Aura to reduce Flame Burst's cooldown to zero.

Blazing heat alerted the Atrocity of where the human had disappeared to and of the danger it was in. The Atrocity attempted to fold its wings while sending its many tentacles towards its back, but Feng was slightly faster.

The Atrocity shrieked in pain as its wing was nearly completely cut off. Although the damage the Atrocity received to its HP was less than before because of the Atrocity's change increasing its defense and Feng striking its wing instead of a vital part, he had crippled the Atrocity's flying capability for some time and prevented it from flying any higher.

Feng followed up by casting Firestorm and slashing at the remaining part connecting the wing to the Atrocity with Chop and Double Chop, completely cutting the wing off. Although the Atrocity attempted to stop Feng by attacking with its tentacles, the eleven phantom Abyssal Blades that didn't have to carry the doppelganger had already caught up and cut them apart before they could reach Feng.

Without one of its wings, the Atrocity lost its balance in the air and started falling, while the green lines all over its body lost their glow. As the Atrocity plummeted to the ground, Feng started whipping it as he flew down after its descending figure to hasten its fall. The Atrocity turned around in mid air and tried blocking the whips with its arms, but an explosion of thunder and fire suddenly struck its back, sending it into a Fainted state. The doppelganger had already caught up with them and used Thunder Flame Explosion on the Atrocity before following up with Thundering Flash.

Feng used Thundering Flash as well right after the doppelganger. The Atrocity was awakened by the ten thunder attacks, but before it could do anything, it was sent into the Fainted state by another Thunder Flame Explosion. As the Atrocity's defenses were broken, Feng widened his mouth and used Dragon Breath, followed by Flame God's Fury, before he continued whipping away at the Atrocity.

The Atrocity finally woke up, but it couldn't do anything as Feng's whips kept bombarding it and making it unable to defend. As the Atrocity was rapidly thinking of a way to get out of this situation, its back hit the ground.

BOOOOM!

An earthquake shook the trial ground as a giant dust cloud rose. The poor Atrocity that's been repeatedly pummeled by whips lied at the bottom of a large crater, with its eyes ripped apart, the scales on most of its body cracked, and less than 15% of its HP remaining.

The smoke stirred, and Feng flew down at the Atrocity's giant head, mercilessly slashing with his swords lit up like miniature suns after spending most of his Death Aura to reduce Flame Burst's cooldown, intending to end the fight right here right now.

Just as Feng's swords were about to rip away the last of the Atrocity's HP, red glows appeared where the Atrocity's eyes used to be, and the scales all around the Atrocity's body turned blood red.

Despite the attacks landing on a vital part such as the Atrocity's very wounded head, the damage dealt was even less than when Feng slashed apart the Atrocity's wing. Moreover, to Feng's surprise, the Atrocity remained alive.

The red glows emanating bone-chilling killing intent turned and looked at Feng. As he sensed the Atrocity's arms move, Feng instantly switched places with his doppelganger.

Feng looked down at the dust cloud with knitted eyebrows while flying in the air with Rocket Boost and the phantom Abyssal Blades floating around him, as he glanced at the system notification that informed him that his doppelganger had died.

A red glow flashed inside of the dust cloud, and Feng immediately bent his body backwards. In the next instant a blood red colored claw slashed across the place where Feng's head had just been. Feng flew back and distanced himself as he looked at the now three meter tall, blood red Atrocity that was gazing at him with thick murderous intent in its regenerated eyes, that would make even a Domain Realm expert shiver in fear. But Feng merely sent a casual glance at the berserk Atrocity, feeling like he had underestimated the effort Aza had put into getting this thing when he realized this wasn't a regular Berserk state.

In truth, there were two types of Atrocities. The ones created by Aza, and the offsprings of the first case. As high tiered Atrocities had much higher intelligence, they could chose to mate with other Atrocities and create offsprings with mixed genes that would normally be impossible to exist if Aza tried creating them. After generations of such mixing, the Atrocities developed a new Berserk state on top of the normal one they originally had that only the Atrocities with the 'purest blood' could posses. The Slaughter state.

A Tier 6 Atrocity with the 'purest blood' could even temporarily fight a Primordial God for a few seconds when in this state. However, the price the Atrocities had to pay for entering the Slaughter state was losing a large portion of their rationality and Intelligence. Moreover, after exiting the Slaughter state, the Atrocity will be greatly weakened for a long time, temporarily losing 95% of its attributes.

Because of this, an Atrocity would rarely enter the Slaughter state even if it had the ability to do so, only using it as a last possible measure. Even though Feng had been fighting with Aza for a long time and killed many Atrocities of different tiers, he had seen an Atrocity enter the Slaughter state only once.

Considering the rarity of the pure blooded Atrocities that could enter the Slaughter state, this Atrocity being able to use it was the last thing on Feng's mind, thus the sudden change caught him off guard.

Sensing danger, Feng switched to the Aura of Wind, greatly boosting his speed, and retreated. The Atrocity's nails brushed past where Feng was just at, leaving behind thin cuts across space. The twelve phantom Abyssal Blades flew through the air and stabbed towards the Atrocity, but the only result were some sparks as the twelve swords bounced off the Atrocity's hard scales.

'About Advanced Tier 3.' With his vast experience, Feng concluded the Atrocity's strength at a glance as he retreated further.

The Atrocity kept following and attacking him at a speed Feng could barely react to. As he couldn't keep up with it, Feng could only predict the Atrocity's fast attacks using his senses and instincts. Thankfully, though, after losing the bit of intelligence it had, the Atrocity's movements and attacks were very simplistic and easily predictable.

However, it seemed like the Atrocity hadn't turned completely stupid, as it started adapting and using different attacks, using both its arms and tentacle hair.

Soon, it became much harder for Feng to dodge the Atrocity's attacks. On top of its much faster speed, the complexity of its attacks using six arms and multiple tentacles, along with the occasional tail swipe and stab, made surviving against the Atrocity much more difficult. Of course, Feng could only dodge, as blocking became impossible after the Atrocity entered the Slaughter state and its strength reached the Advanced Tier 3 standard.

Moreover, the Atrocity kept pushing Feng towards the border of the trial ground that Feng had previously teleported to, and at the speed they were currently moving, Feng will quickly be cornered.

Running away was impossible, even if Feng wanted to, as the Atrocity's tentacles extended around and blocked his escape roots, continuously forcing him to retreat. Though, even if Feng could use Space Movement to get away from the Atrocity, he wouldn't, as he had no idea for how long the Atrocity could stay in the Slaughter state and if it would be longer than the remaining time of the Steroid's duration. If it was longer, not only would Feng be unable to kill it, but he'd also be screwed.

Not that he had that option, since the Seven Luminaries Ring's aura switching was still on cooldown.

With Feng constantly retreating towards the border, and the Atrocity getting closer to landing an attack on him with its incredibly fast speed, along with the fact that he couldn't escape, it could be said that Feng was in a disadvantageous situation. Another person would start growing anxious by now, if they weren't already, but Feng...

"*Sigh* Fineee~..." Feng sighed as he glanced at the edge of the trial ground that was around ten yards behind him, his expression changing from his usual casual look to a serious one "Guess I'll start getting serious now."

Suddenly, Feng's movements changed.

The Abyssal Blade struck towards the Atrocity as its attacks were easily dodged by Feng. The Atrocity controlled one of its tentacles to block the sword, but when they were about to collide, the tentacle simply passed through the Abyssal Blade, which disappeared. Before the Atrocity could react to the sudden change and disappearance of the sword, it felt something strike its chest, forcing it to a halt.

As the Atrocity inspected the cut on its chest, Feng moved again, seemingly fazing out of existence, as he suddenly stood in front of the Atrocity and slashed with his sword. The Atrocity felt fear for an unknown reason, and attempted to block Feng's attack while sending a few of its own.

However, the Atrocity soon discovered a strange thing. Despite its Movement Speed, Attack Speed and Reaction Speed being much faster than the human's, the Atrocity found that the human had suddenly became elusive with its movement and attacks, to the point that the Atrocity was unable to follow them. It tried to block the human's sword, only to realize that it's a faint only after being struck by the real attack. It attempted to use its advantage of many body parts to attack the human from all directions, only to find that the human was no longer in the same position.

Their roles were suddenly reversed, with the Atrocity continuously retreating in confusion and helplessness, while Feng's elusive figure kept moving in between the Atrocity's attempts to strike him while his own attack landed non stop.

Against the Feng who started executing an Advanced Combat Technique in his every movement, the Atrocity became completely unable to defend itself, and could only receive a beating as it hastily retreated.

---

The people in the Eternal Throne widened their eyes as they stared at Feng who was pushing the Atrocity back while displaying clear signs of being in the Ascension realm.

"Are my eyes deceiving me? Is this little guy really in the Ascension realm?"

"It can't be! He's only a Tier 0 Sword Apprentice!"

The people on the silver thrones immediately denied the possibility, while even the golden thrones showed shocked expressions. After all, the Ascension realm was incredibly rare even among Tier 5 existences, with even some of the people here not managing to reach it; so how could they believe that some random guy at Tier 0 that showed up out of nowhere had reached such a realm?

Although they had previously seen Feng use Bronze Techniques and that he had displayed hints of having a grasp of the Realms of Truth, they assumed that that's the most he had. And if Feng really had reached the Ascension realm, why hadn't he shown any signs of it before?

Of course, although Feng could integrate Advanced Combat Techniques into his every move and display standards at the Ascension realm, he was only capable of doing it for a short time with his current condition. With his limited Stamina, Concentration and Physique, the things Feng could currently do were very restricted. With Feng's standards, his current Physique allowed him to even use Bronze Combat Techniques, let alone Advanced Combat Techniques, but to execute them with his every movement was another thing all together, and could only be accomplished for a very limited time with complete focus.

Moreover, it was also extremely draining on his Stamina to fight at this standard with his current condition. If not for the Steroid's boost in Stamina recovery, Feng wouldn't be confident of being able to maintain his current state; and there was also the huge consumption of Concentration. Unlike for Stamina, the Steroid's effects did nothing for Feng's Concentration, so he normally wouldn't be able to sustain its current usage.

Thankfully, Feng's mental strength was very high, and even as he's logged into God's Domain, his body automatically absorbs the world's energy, enhancing his physique and mental strength, which also hastened his recovery of Concentration. Although it wasn't enough to keep up with the usage, he could maintain a standard at the Ascension realm for a bit.

Due to the high requirements of using such a standard in his current condition, Feng never bothered to do it, and there was never a need for it either. Even in the 12th trial against the Phoenix, not only was it unnecessary in any moment, it also wouldn't be of much help, since Feng was either taking away one of the Phoenix's lives, or was letting it run away.

However, it was perfect in this situation.

After abandoning its advantage of a large size, although the Atrocity was still bigger than Feng, it had gotten down on his level and was battling it out with its attacks at a much normal size in a frontal assault.

In other words, aside from its higher attributes,... the Atrocity was contending with Feng in combat standards. Did it not know what death meant?

If not for the vast difference in attributes, which forced Feng to be passive, the Atrocity would be dead already, since the main thing that made it hard to kill aside from its huge HP was its giant body; and of course its many limbs whose range and ability were now much more limited by the Atrocity's smaller size.

But as soon as Feng got serious and started including Advanced Combat Techniques in his every movement, the attribute advantage that the Atrocity had was meaningless. What good are its high attribute if the Atrocity couldn't properly use them against Feng with its low combat standards?

Thus, the Atrocity kept getting pushed back while receiving a beating.

The Temple Lord, though, seemed much more serious now. Although this confirmed his suspicions of Feng having a much higher attainment in the Realms of Truth than he showed, the Temple Lord was shocked after seeing his current performance. He had originally merely guessed that Feng was near the Transcendental realm based on a few hints, but after seeing the way Feng easily integrated and used Advanced Combat Techniques into his movements, the Temple Lord realized that he had underestimated this little guy.

From what the Temple Lord could tell, Feng had most likely even surpassed the Transcendental realm. However, how was such a thing possible? Of all the War God's Temple's powerhouses here, only three had reached the Transcendental realm; and that was after many years of hard work and effort, so how could this Sword Apprentice have surpassed them?

It made the Temple Lord wonder if this little guy was hiding some huge secret.

---

Roa-

The Atrocity tried to roar in order to express its anger at the current situation, but a sword to its lower jaw made the Atrocity shut its mouth and almost bite off its tongue. As hard as it tried to retaliate, nothing worked, and it kept getting pushed back.

Meanwhile, Feng was in a hurry to kill the Atrocity as soon as possible, since he knew that he wouldn't be able to last long while executing movements of this standard. Feng activated Winwalk and chased after the Atrocity, trying to land as many attacks as possible, not really minding the hit placement as long is it could slightly obstruct the Atrocity's attempts to retaliate and retreat.

After around ten seconds, Feng could feel that he was close to drained of his Stamina and Concentration, while his body couldn't withstand the usage of so many Advanced Combat Techniques one after another.

Thundering Flash!

Thunder Flame Explosion!

Feng used two skills at the same time with the Depth's Blade and the Abyssal blade, combining the thunder streaks and explosion of thunder and fire as it collided with the Atrocity. Although the Atrocity was no longer affected by the Thunder Flame Explosion's Fainted state, the powerful attack of the two fused skills slowed it down for a second, and Feng appeared in its face within that second after using Wind Rider and Wind Blade to boost his speed, along with sacrificing all of his accumulated Death Aura as his swords lit up like miniature suns.

Flame Burst!

Ten Extreme Slashes!

Ten Extreme Slashes!

-2,020,603, -1,977,093

With one final Flame Burst, the Atrocity's HP dropped to zero in an instant.

System: Atrocity defeated. Emergency trial completed. Rewarding 500,000,000 EXP, 50 Free Mastery Points, and 15 Legacy Skill Points. Proficiency of all Skills increased by 10,000 points.

Feng breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the system notification. He immediately landed on the ground and sat down to rest, when he glanced back at the system notification...

'It counted as a trial?' The thought appeared in his mind when he saw that the notification was practically the same as the other twelve he previously received, before his eyes widened, 'It counted as a trial!'

After glancing at his War God's Temple Merit Points, Feng instantly shot to his feet.

"Oh hell yeah! Come on, send down a few more of those! Let me farm me some Merit Points." Feng looked at the sky and yelled, hoping to see a system notification for another Emergency Trial and another Atrocity coming down.

As the Emergency Trial seemed to count as one of the trials for the Twelve Trials, it followed the same rule of rewards as the previous twelve; meaning that after defeating the Atrocity, Feng received 204,800 War God's Temple Merit Points.

Naturally, he was excited and wanted Aza to send down another Atrocity so he could kill it and get more Merit Points. Though, considering his current condition, he might not be able to actually kill it; unless he resorted to his final and ultimate trump card, of course...

Thankfully, or not depending on how you look at it, no more Atrocities descended, and the gloomy sky quickly cleared up, revealing the warm sun.

However, Feng did receive a system notification... just not the one he wanted.

System: Warning! A certain Evil God has become aware of your presence and cast a soul curse on you. If you are discovered by any of the Evil God's followers, you will be hunted down endlessly.

'That son of a bitch!' Feng grew enraged as soon as he saw the system notification. Here he was, minding his own business and just trying to do quests and get by, and this bastard decides to attack him, completely unprovoked, but after his attempt on Feng's life fails, the fucker just curses him, 'The hell did I ever do to you?... Except for all the things I did to you in the previous timeline.'

But no one answered Feng's grumbles.

In the next moment, a golden door appeared next to Feng and opened. Realizing that he won't get to farm any more Merit Points, Feng pouted for a second before walking through the golden door.

---

When Feng opened his eyes, he was back inside the Eternal Throne, but this time, none of the people sitting on the thrones had their previous nonchalant and playful expressions any more. Instead, all of them gazed at Feng in full seriousness, including the golden thrones.

Moreover, the purple throne was no longer empty.

'He really is here.' Feng thought as he gazed at War God's Temple's Temple Lord, before using Observing Eyes.

[Kratos[2] (God of War's Phantom)]

Level ???

HP ???

Although Kratos had sensed Feng's gaze and probe, and could have very easily stopped him, he didn't bother as he was about to introduce himself anyway.

"Hello, young man. I am Kratos, the God of War, and the Temple Lord of the War God's Temple." Kratos gazed at Feng's indifferent reaction after he introduced himself and released his powerful aura, but Feng remained unaffected by it, which further confirmed Kratos' suspicion that there was some secret behind this young man. "I'd like to apologize for the incident that occurred. I had never expected for one of my old enemies to infiltrate here and send one of his minions after you, the participant of the Twelve Trials. Although I'm still unsure of how and what exactly happened, you can rest assured that you won't be bothered by that Evil God for some time. As for that curse he left on you, I'll think of a way to get rid of it."

Kratos' introductory was naturally unnecessary to Feng, as he was very familiar with the God of War. Kratos was originally only an ordinary human in the Greater God's Domain, but went on to become an Ancient God and protect the Greater God's Domain from evil forces and other races while creating the War God's Temple and spreading it all across the Greater God's Domain, as well as in other God's Domains; with some like this one not even being connected to the Greater God's Domain.

Feng had met Kratos in his previous life, and even fought alongside the guy a couple of times. Through their meetings, he came to realize that Kratos' strength was comparable to Primordial Gods, and that on top of having many Divine Artifacts, he had also created a Superior Divine Body.

Although Kratos said that he was unsure of what happened, Feng, and everyone else, knew it was bullshit. Even the people on the silver thrones had realized that there was most likely a traitor among them, only no one dare to say it in fear of stirring up trouble.

"Now, onto your rewards." Feng perked up his ears at the part he actually cared about "As a reward for surpassing our expectations and being the second in history to ever successfully clear the Twelve Trials, killing the Evil God's minion and thwarting his plans, as well as an apology for getting you involved in this mess, I shall reward you an additional 250,000 Merit Points."

"???" The people sitting on the thrones

"???" Feng

Everyone looked at Kratos in confusion and astonishment, wondering if he had misspoken and meant 25,000. After all, Feng already had enough Merit Points to buy one of the Divine Artifacts inside of the War God's Temple's treasury, yet now, Kratos was handing him the other one practically on a silver platter.

Let alone the thrones' occupants, even Feng was surprised by Kratos' generosity. He had initially planned to buy one of the Divine Artifacts from the War God's Temple, and he was considering that if he received bonus Merit Points like he did in his previous life, whether to save up for the other Divine Artifact if he didn't receive enough, or to buy some equipment in order to boost his strength.

But now, Feng didn't have to consider it any more. If Kratos simply wanted to reward him, he didn't have to give him enough points for the more expensive of the two Divine Artifacts, but now Kratos made it obvious that he wanted Feng to buy the Divine Artifacts, and even after buying both, Feng would still have nearly 200,000 Merit Points to spend on other stuff. As for why Kratos would do such a thing, Feng had his suspicions...

"My lord you-" A man sitting on one of the golden thrones tried to say something, but a glance from Kratos instantly silenced the man.

Although it seemed like a ridiculous thing to do to give Feng so many Merit Points, Kratos had made this decision after putting in some thought to the current situation. Although Kratos didn't know Feng's background and where he stood, the fact that the Evil God had tried to kill him and even cast a soul curse on him showed they were on the same side. As the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As long as Feng wasn't stupid, he'd definitely save his Merit Points to buy the second Divine Artifact, and even if he didn't know their real value, he'd be able to guess it after seeing only two in the War God's Temple's entire treasury.

Instead of having Feng horde all the points and not buy anything other than the Divine Artifacts, Kratos thought he might as well let him have the Divine Artifacts and have enough Merit Points to properly equip himself. Not to mention that after all these years, no one from this God's Domain had been able to buy the Divine Artifacts, let alone use them. Aside from Feng's potential, another reason Kratos wanted him to have the two Divine Artifacts was for their own safety.

Even though Kratos didn't care that much about the Divine Artifacts since he had multiple of such things in the War God's Temple in the Greater God's Domain, which was why he was willing to let Feng have them, it would be a different situation if the traitor working for the Evil God somehow stole them. If that were to happen, this God's Domain might end up in danger.

Normally, logic would dictate that having the Divine Artifacts securely stored in the War God's Temple's treasury would be just a tad bit safer than letting someone at Tier 0 have them, but Kratos would disagree.

As someone who has lived for a very long time and seen many things, Kratos knew that the heaven-blessed in this God's Domain would be protected by the heavens until they reached Level 100, making the traitor unable to simply murder Feng and take the Divine Artifacts. The most the traitor could do was hire some people to go after Feng, but with the War God's Temple intervening, and as long as Feng spends the rest of his Merit Points wisely, that won't be an issue.

Thus, instead of leaving the Divine Artifacts in the hands of the now uncertain War God's Temple, Kratos would rather place his hopes on the heavens protecting this little guy until he's able to defend himself against the Evil God's lackey.

After all, Kratos had no idea what the current situation was in the War God's Temple in this God's Domain, and it was unknown how much Aza has meddled in it. As far as Kratos knew, there could be only one traitor at the level of the silver thrones, or the entire War God's Temple in this God's Domain might have betrayed him.

Little did Kratos know how right he was.

Not only were there multiple traitors among the silver thrones, but even three of the Vice-Temple Lords currently sitting on the golden thrones had betrayed the War God's Temple.

In Feng's previous life, the traitors had kept themselves very well hidden, all the way until a crucial moment. The betrayal had shocked the entire God's Domain, and was one of the reason Feng ended up losing a large part of his God's Domain in his previous life.

After seeing that none of the people in the Eternal Throne were planning to protest, Kratos continued talking, "Since you've already passed the test, walk to the center of the chamber. I will give you the strength necessary to locate the Seven Treasures," Kratos said.

Feng then strode to the center of the Eternal Throne.

There were countless divine runes inscribed on the floor there, joined together to form a huge magic array. Meanwhile, the sixty thrones were hovering around this magic array, the thrones themselves apparently connected somehow with this magic array.

"Let's begin."

As soon as he finished speaking, Kratos released a boundless aura as his powerful Divine Might gathered, and the mana in the surroundings started moving. Not only in the Eternal Throne, but the mana around it started gathering as well. Soon, mana through out the entire War God's Temple had gathered and condensed in the center of the Eternal Throne. But Kratos still didn't stop.

Mana through out the entire Star Moon City started being drawn. startling some of the players who noticed the change.

"What's going on?"

"Is there some kind of event happening!?"

Although the current players weren't high tiered enough to completely sense mana, most of the magical class players could still perceive it. Moreover, some of the experts through out Star Moon City had also sensed the sudden change in the air.

They all looked towards the building that looked like a majestic pyramid standing beside the palace, wondering what was happening over there.

Inside the Eternal Throne, the powerhouses sitting on the golden thrones trembled under the powerful mana gathered by Kratos that had reached a solid form. The silver thrones, on the other hand, were doing much worse. Most of them had already collapsed to the ground, while the few that were still struggling to withstand it had pale expressions.

Feng, who was standing in the very center of it all, though, remained standing with an indifferent expression. Although, the vast mana greatly pressurised him, nearly forcing him to kneel, he had felt mana millions of times stronger than this in his previous life, so Feng's incredible will power allowed him to remain standing while seeming unaffected.

In the next moment, all of the solid mana summoned was injected into the magic array. The divine runes engraved into the chamber started lighting up one after another, and within moments, every single divine rune inside the grand chamber was giving off a purple glow.

In the center of the Eternal Throne, a purple divine pattern took form. This divine pattern then melded with Feng's body.

Feng immediately felt his body being filled up with an infinite amount of power, his mind clear as day, as if he knew everything there was to know in the world. However, this feeling only lasted for a few short seconds before it completely dissipated. Meanwhile, Feng's pupils, which were originally pitch-black in color, had also turned light purple for a brief moment. Although his pupils regained their original color, careful observation would reveal innumerable bright stars flashing within them, looking just like the starry skies at night.

System: Congratulations! Player has obtained Purple Stigmata. Reputation with the War God's Temple increased by 10,000 points.

System: Your War God's Temple Reputation has reached 10,000 points. Reputation at the War God's Temple has reached Worship. You will enjoy status and authority equivalent to a War God's Temple's Vice-Temple Lord.

System: Congratulations! You are the first player to achieve Worship Favorability with the War God's Temple. Rewarding 1 Legendary Treasure Chest.

"The seal on the Endless Abyss has been broken. If you wish to reseal the Endless Abyss, you'll need the assistance of the Seven Treasures, which the Gods had bestowed upon the human race. However, the Seven Treasures have been missing for hundreds of years now, scattered throughout this large continent. A few of these Seven Treasures have even been damaged. It would be extremely difficult to locate and gather the Seven Treasures. However, with the Stigmata that I have engraved into your body, your task of locating the Seven Treasures should become much easier. As long as you come within a certain range of one of the Seven Treasures, the Stigmata will produce a response to notify you of it. If you happen to come across one of the Seven Treasures that is damaged, the Stigmata can also aid you in repairing it.

"Now that my part here is done, I shall take my leave while the others will move to suppress the Endless Abyss. The fate of this entire continent will depend on you now. I pray that you will be able to gather the Seven Treasures as soon as possible."

System: Legendary ranked Main Storyline Quest "Seven Treasures" accepted.

Quest details: The Seven Treasures have been scattered throughout the continent. Player is required to gather the Seven Treasures within two years. Otherwise, the Endless Abyss will break through the War God's Temple's suppression and plunge all inhabitants of God's Domain into misery and suffering, turning the continent into the playground of darkness. If player is unable to complete this quest, player's Level will drop by 30, all Attributes will be permanently reduced by 70%, and all EXP gained will be reduced by 90%.

"K." Feng gave a simple response to this very important quest that could change his entire God's Domain, remaining completely unbothered by the system notifications.

He already knew that he'll be getting the Purple Stigmata as soon as he saw Kratos sitting on the purple throne. As for being Worshipped by the War God's Temple and receiving a Legendary Treasure Chest, that was within his expectations as well. After all, his reputation with the War God's Temple had reached 10,000 after he turned in the Seven Treasures quest in his previous life and sealed the Endless Abyss, and he had similarly received a Legendary Treasure Chest at the time for being the first to be worshipped by the War God's Temple.

Feng then switched his gaze to his status bar.

As expected, there was an additional column labeled "Stigmata" there.

"Oh right," as Kratos' phantom was dissipating, he seemed to have remembered something as he looked towards Feng, "Although the Evil God can't do much to you right now, he still has followers in this world which he might send after you, so do be careful. As for that curse, you should try to promote your tier as soon as possible. Otherwise, it might do considerable damage to your soul over time." With that last sentence, Kratos' phantom completely disappeared from the Eternal Throne; while the rest of the Lords started taking their leaves as well.

Naturally, Kratos' reminders were unnecessary, as Feng knew full well about Aza's followers in his God's Domain. As for the curse... If Aza had chosen to use any other curse, Feng could only helplessly grumble and send a few more curses before trying to increase his tier as fast as possible.

But the guy actually chose to use a soul curse on Feng, which was like trying to set a Phoenix on fire.

A blue glow appeared in Feng's eyes, before he looked down at his chest where a blue fireball was.

Currently a dark, black spot tainted the spotless blue fireball.

1. Changed the original name I came up with for reaching the standard of a gold combat technique in every movement to Fate Realm.

2. Name from the god of war from the game God of War.

3. Too lazy to think of another description. If someone can come up with a good one, comment it and I'll change this one if I like yours
