The Hua Family

Yanjing, Qing Shui Residential Area.

It is known as the place with most luxurious villas. The area was divided into Platinum, Diamond and Gold residential areas with Platinum being the highest costing around 100 million at the lowest. In one of the biggest villas in the area, a family of three was having their breakfast. It was the residence of the Hua family, one of the top 3 families in the entire Yanjing.

The current head of the family was Hua Jun, who had returned from overseas 14 years ago. He started up his business - the Blue Ocean Group, from scratch and turned it into a billion-dollar enterprise within a shocking 10 years. It was now unrivalled in the areas of medicine, clothing and entertainment.

At the moment they were finishing up breakfast. Hua Jun was a burly man in his 40s with the oppressive aura of a leader. His wife Ling Xiu was an mature lady with a elegant and refined look. Their daughter was Hua Meiling, a dazzling beauty excelling in both education as well as temperament.

"Mum, Dad I'll be leaving then." she said with a smile on her face as she set off to school. The butler brought around the car before opening the door for her.

"Thanks Uncle Sun!" she said while getting in the car. Uncle Sun had been with her family for so long and his daughter was also one of her friends, hence she considered him family; unlike those money-grubbing relatives that shamelessly kept clinging to her whenever they had a chance. The car took off to school.

"She seems a bit livelier nowadays." Hua Jun remarked after she left.

"I visited the Lingjue Temple with her last week. The priest there said that there would be said that there would be a great fortune for the family soon and that joy would follow. Maybe there's hope for her after all" his wife sighed and said.

Hua Jun couldn't reply to her. Although his business was booming, his family was not. They thought that what happened 14 years ago was the worst tragedy they'd have to face. Reality was cruel as the later their 8-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease that had no cure – it made the child to have only 20 years of life. In order to make sure that his daughter would be treated like a princess, he put his everything into developing his business.

As he was reminiscing about the past, his phone rang. He checked the call ID and was slightly surprised to see that it was the Director Liang from the hospital. As he took the call, he heard an excited voice coming from the other side.

"Brother Jun, there might be hope for little Meiling after all. Today I came across someone with the same rare blood as her. We found that she has heightened immunity and coincidentally once had the same disease as Meiling. If we do a blood transfusion, we might be able to solve it." He paused before continuing "We've also got a lead on the Miracle Physician – this girl might possibly be related to her."

Hua Jun was elated. He quickly relayed the news to his wife before turning on the speaker so his wife could also hear. "Director Liang who is this girl? If you give me her contact I'll personally go and ask her" he said anxiously.

"Haha I understand your worries, I'll share her address now. By the way her name and is quite similar to your daughter – she's called Hua Meimei. Eh, I hadn't noticed but they look similar too!" Director Liang laughed and said.

Both Hua Jun and his wife froze. This was because they were terribly familiar with the name. It was related to the tragedy 14 years ago and their greatest regret. The Hua family did not have a daughter – they had two! Ling Xiu had given birth to twins, but one of them went missing when she was just 4 and there had not been any news since then. The Hua family had just returned from abroad but just when they were about to enter Yanjing, they were attacked and hid near a forest.

To their horror they realized that one of the little girls – Hua Meimei had disappeared. While they got out of the attack unscathed, they'd lost a daughter! The devastated couple searched madly but there was no news at all. They could only give up after nearly 5 years of searching in hopes that there would be news someday.
