The fox felt her anger surge.

This bandit leader was much more cunning than she expected. She had actually left her scent in several other bandit dens on the way and searched many places for him, but after causing a mess, she realized they were not the one she was looking for, hence wasting a lot of her time.

If it was not for her excellent sense of smell, she might have really lost the bandit leader's scent.

"Little girl, do you have any other blue foxes in your family?" Mohai looked at the blue fox at his doorstep with a strange gaze.

'That's weird. With her intelligence, how could she become one of the nine invincible Bosses in the future? She's so different from what I imagined. Did I mistake her as the Nine-Tailed Fox? Is there another blue fox in the game that the players don't know about yet?'

"It's none of your business! This is your last chance! Give me back the Bloodline Enhancing Stone that you stole! And apologize to your lady right now!" bellowed the blue fox.

"Okay, it seems like I will have to teach you how to behave like a human…or a fox in this case!" Mohai nodded.

'Just look at her feisty personality. If I don't teach her a lesson, she might not even listen to what anyone has to say!'

"You are dead!" the blue fox shouted when she heard what Mohai said. She had spared him a chance, but he did not appreciate it, so it was no longer her fault.

The blue fox grew big again and jumped towards Mohai.

When the bandit goons saw her throw herself at Mohai, they wanted to rush over and help, but Mohai signaled them to stand where they were.

He then took Rock's Experimental Potion out and tossed it onto the ground.

A strange smell swiftly spread in the air. Immediately, the blue fox felt her strength leaving her body and a moment later, she fell weakly on the ground.

"This is a potion that can temporarily disable even the Nine-Tailed Fox. It's really a waste using it on you." Mohai was not surprised by the effect.

Rock was a young and rising monsternologist in Origin and he specialized in coming up with potions that could disable a specific monster.

Rock's Experimental Potion was one his earliest works, but due to his young age, after he sold some of the potions and people realized that the effects were not as good as he claimed, his reputation plummeted. In the future, his potions would not even be sold in NPC shops.

As a matter of fact, Rock's potion was not ineffective. However, the earliest batch of potions only worked against monsters with a great sense of smell.

Back when the top 10 guilds tried to take down the Nine-Tailed Fox, they used Rock's Experimental Potion to disable her at the crucial moment and ended the First Tail Form quickly.

However, the Nine-Tailed Fox would be immune to the potion from Second Tail Form onwards, so players must rely on their strength to make it through.

The blue fox was heaven and earth apart from the Nine-Tailed Fox, so using Rock's Experimental Potion on her was super effective.

Mohai looked at the disabled blue fox with malicious intent. He grabbed his thick, long vine out and tied the fox up.

The efficacy duration of the potion was not long, so the blue fox recovered soon enough and the first thing that came out of her mouth was a stream of scolding. 

"You b*stard! You tricked me! Fight me like a man if you have the balls!"

'This little girl is not that bright. She's so stupid! I'm sure she's not the Nine-Tailed Fox!' Mohai thought as he felt a little disappointed.

He thought he was able to make a future invincible Boss his subordinate, but what he got was a stupid fox. If the stupid fox really became his subordinate, she would give him nothing but trouble.

Since Mohai's interest had faded, he said in a lazy tone, "So, little fox, what do you want me to do to you? Skin you and cook you or roast you on with the skin on?"

At the same time, Mohai used [Heavy Bash] on the fox's head and used [Snatch] to search for items to snatch, but [Snatch] failed.

Mohai expected the failure due to the difference in level, but he was not in a hurry since he had a lot of time and believed he would eventually succeed.

"Kill me like a man! I'll make sure you will disintegrate from the Land of Origin!" The blue fox was not afraid of Mohai's threats. Instead, she countered him with her own threats and chuckled.

"Kill you? You wish! I'll lock you up for a year or more. Maybe I will kill you if I am happy." Mohai looked down at the little fox's poor intellect.

There was no difference in killing her and letting her go. Furthermore, monsters would never starve to death. He ought to lock her up for six months first and grind that feisty temper of hers down.

This blue fox should be able to transform into the Nine-Tailed Fox at some point, so Mohai deeply believed that if this feisty one was starved to tone her temper down, she might be of use in the future.

A stupid mind did not matter much. As long as the fox was obedient, she could still be useful in the future. 

Similar to his bandit goons, every one of them was literally dumb but they were obedient and loyal!

'Hmm, this plot somehow feels familiar…' Mohai was in deep thought. He somehow felt like this was deja vu.

Would there be players with a mission to kill him and liberate the little blue fox in the future? Who knew?

"Lock me up for half a year or a whole year? Keep dreaming! Someone will come for me soon!" The little blue fox's words seemed to resonate with Mohai's thoughts.

"We shall see when they are here," he answered lazily.

If players were here to save the little fox, it would be free XP and delivery of items to him. If the Nine-Tailed Fox were here, he would have to run as far as he could! He might even have to use the Monster Mission Scroll to leave the Monolith Stronghold and hide somewhere else!

He believed that with his familiarity with the game, if he wanted to flee, no one would be able to chase him.

Mohai already had a fair understanding of the Monster Mission Scroll that he had gotten from DeepSea. The Monster Mission Scroll was similar to a player's Mission Scroll. When used, he could be assigned a mission.

Mohai's Monster Mission Scroll was recommended for use at Level 15. When he accepted the mission, he would not be bound to a certain area and could move around freely during the duration of the mission.

When completed, other than XP and monster exclusive equipment, the most important reward would be Faith.

That was the reason why the Monster Mission Scroll was so tempting to a monster.

It had been more than 10 minutes since Mohai captured the blue fox and he had used [Heavy Bash] and [Snatch] on the fox for more than 20 times. However, he strangely realized he failed to snatch a single item from the blue fox. He could not even identify what the blue fox had with her.

"Hehehe, stop wasting your time. Your level is too low. You can't snatch anything from me" The blue fox was delighted about Mohai's failure.

She was worried at first. Otherwise, she would not have shrunk back into her original form when she got trapped in the iron cage. Now, she was certain that Mohai could not snatch her items.

'Okay, fine! My level is not high enough! I'll go and level up right now!'

Mohai also knew it was because of the level difference, so he did not waste time with the blue fox. He grabbed a piece of leather from his bag and shoved it into the blue fox's mouth, silencing her feisty attitude.

"Mm-hmph! Mm-hmph! Mm-hmph!" The little blue fox struggled with her muffled voice while her eyes angrily glared at Mohai.

Mohai was not bothered at all. Other than silencing her with a piece of leather, he even stuffed her behind a pile of rocks so that any wandering player would not kill her on sight.

"Come on. Let's go kill some Adventurers and level up!" Mohai waved to his 15 goons and they marched out grandly.

The levels of the players from two days ago were too low for him, so Mohai could not get any XP from killing them anymore. Now, a lot of players had reached Level 10, and if he could increase his kill for the day, he could reach Level 13 or higher. If he worked a little harder for the next two days, he could reach Level 15.

Until then, he believed that he would be able to deal with that feisty little fox! The little fox's victory was only temporary!

"The bandits from yesterday are here!"

"Yeah! My party has finally reached Level 10 and we even changed our occupation! It's time for revenge!"

"Nice! I have a fresh Silencer in my party. We will wipe the bandits out once and for all, especially that bandit leader! If I can't kill him today, I'll quit!"

A lot of players had suffered from Mohai's rampage yesterday and the bandits in the Monolith Stronghold had gained a little fame in the game forum.

Their appearance spread like wildfire among the players. Therefore, the players who Mohai killed yesterday were excited to take revenge on him.

Taking revenge was only one of the reasons why they were excited. Most of them were excited about his equipment. The group of bandits was well-equipped. Anyone who was not blind could tell that besides the leader, even the goons were geared up admirably.

The bandit leader had snatched a lot of decent items with good stats, so if anyone could wipe the group of bandits out, he would be rich!
