Telly Invention Part 4

Arnold returned to the tavern and the owner was surprised to see him.Why are you stunned seeing me did the old man cause trouble while I was away?."You're here but... The old said you fell inside the deeper parts of the dungeon".Did he come back?."Yup, he even took some soldiers to the dungeon with him to help find you".Did he do that for me?, asked Arnold with an impressed look.

"Go and quickly stop them from going much deeper cause rumour has it that the ancient sand dragon resides at the deepest part of the dungeon".Ooh, don't worry about that this girl beside me is the sand dragon, said Arnold picking his nose."Young man, please don't joke like that she's such a cute girl who deserves to be respected,stop making fun of her and I think you should vamoose right away.

"Master Arl should I cut off one of his hands to make him believe that I'm the sand dragon?", asked Shara looking at Arnold as her eyes shrunken as the size of a dot.No,it's okay I believe you that's what matters."I don't dislike this side of you master, said Shara as her eyes sparkled with respect for Arnold.

Arnold and Shara left for the dungeon as fast as possible.They entered the dungeon and kept on going down.How many floors are there in this dungeon?, asked Arnold being breathless.We are currently on the 15th floor so 5 more floors to go master Arl.I don't know why but I feel like my lungs are dancing and I'm extremely tired."Hold on a little bit and we'll be there in 10 to 20 minutes".Ok,let's keep on going.

As they reached the 19th floor they heard sounds of swords clashing through the meat of monsters.Arnold ran to see and found the old man fighting with a high orc.Old man!!, yelled Arnold as loud as possible.The old man looked behind and the orc landed a shallow blow on his shoulder.Shara, it's time to show me your valour."Right away Master Arl", saying this Shara used her active skill Sandstrom and the orc was engulfed in the sands.

"Who is that girl she's such a beauty?", asked the old man as his nose was bleeding as he was thinking something lewd.Arnold was not sure if the old man was on his right mind as he came with soldiers to save him but seeing him like this he understood yup he's the same bona fide and nothing new.Shara defeated the high orc elegantly."Master Arl we should leave"."Who are you little girl would you care to take my seeds?".You old geezer you never change do you."Should I kill him for sexual harassment master Arl?".No, don't mind him let's get out of the dungeon.

After they came out of the dungeon Arnold gave money to the soldiers who risked their lives for him.Some refused to take but some wanted more."Don't forget what you promised to me kid", said the old man as he stared at Shara intensely.Talk while looking at me you old geezer, said Arnold slapping the old guy till he stopped looking at Shara.

"Oh! That's right I forgot to tell you we got your crystal, the one you wanted". Don't worry about the crystal I already have it." What!?,I risked my bloody life for it how did you get it?",asked the old man looking shocked.Well a lot happened but first of all meet Shara the ancient sand dragon as old as dinosaurs."What the heck is a dinosaur, what!? the same dragon",asked the old man as he kept on looking at Shara to find the dragon underneath her cuteness.Don't be stunned there's more to it she's my servant now."You rascale!,you stopped me but you took such a cute girl as your servant die you, bloody bastard!".

You old geezer what did you say, saying this a fight broke out in between them.Seeing this Shara smiled and kept on laughing.

After they were done with all the shenanigans they returned to the tavern to rest.The owner was glad to see that nothing bad happened.He served them chicken stew and an omelette for dinner.As Arnold ate his chicken stew he felt the softness of the meat and felt like it was melting like cheese inside his mouth making him utter a simple word which was delicious.

Later upon finishing eating the old man asked Arnold if he would have done the same for him like the old man did as he fell inside the dungeon.Of course, I would have looked for you."I see than I'm grateful".Why ask this all of a sudden?."Nothing just felt like asking".Ooh I see!, saying this Arnold, the old man and Shara went to sleep in their rooms.At first Shara wanted to sleep in the same room and attend to Arnold during the night but Arnold paid for another room and she was told to sleep there.

The next day, Arnold woke up and ate his breakfast with Shara but the old man was still inside his room.As time kept on passing and the old man was still inside his room Arnold decided to check on him.Later Arnold entered the room of the old man and found him lying on his bed.Arnold tried to wake him up but he was not moving an inch.Arnold checked his breathing but no air was coming out of his nostrils.Arnold checked his pulse but there was no heartbeat and Arnold figured out that the old man died.Shara found a note in his desk.

Arnold opened the note and started reading and tears kept on falling from his eyes.Shara read the letter aloud."My boy you are one fine man, I always wanted a son like you but luck spoke otherwise, my wife and the child she beared were murdered by one of my enemies as I was away for a mission.But the moment I met you I truly wished I could have seen my child grow.The day you fell in the dungeon I was so scared for you as I thought of you as my child and when I found you I was truly happy as if tears would fall from my eyes.I asked you a question last night cause I knew my death was coming and if I'm dead then my boy make a grave for me and fill it in with sands using your hands,that's all this old man asks from you, take care your ever perverted old geezer".The note ended.

Of course,I'll complete your last wishes you old geezer, said Arnold as he kept on crying.Shara left the room to give Arnold some private time.After some time Arnold went out to buy a coffin for the old man.After returning he laid the old man inside the coffin and took it to the grave he prepared.A headstone was made for him written as,"Here lies Skyler my old best bud, rest in peace buddy your son alike Arnold".The grave was filled with sands by Arnold using his hands as the old man wanted.

Afterwards, Arnold paid respect and decided to leave the city of Sharana.Shara was ready and they left an hour later.On the road Arnold kept on thinking about the old man.Shara soothed him and told him to cherish the memories he has of the old man and told him it was ok since she also can share his memory so she'll remember the old man till she dies.Arnold calmed down a lot and kept his composure throughout the whole travel to Anteria Region.

Three days later they arrived at Anteria Region.Arnold introduced Shara to General Luka and told him that she's going to work under him.General Luka accepted the proposal and afterwards Arnold was busy most of the time working in his invention.

Later upon passing of a few months,he was finally able to successfully invent the first-ever telly of the world of magic.General Luka was amazed to see the way it works and he believed that it was a revolutionary invention and it needs to be issued by the king to be produced in large quantities.Arnold made a smaller telly for the king to have a sample to check how it works.

A positive reply came from the king and he wanted a larger one for his usage.Arnold kept the telly made by the old man's crystal and sent the other one for the king.As the invention was made public Arnold soon got recognized throughout the continent as people praised his invention as God's divine blessing.Even after having so much positive feedback, Arnold was not cheerful as he was thinking about the old man still.

One day Shara talked with Arnold loud and clear that he needs to stop thinking about the dead and keep on living.How can I forget him that easily I'm a human after all?,said Arnold as his eyes were filled with tears and he kept on thinking about the bittersweet behaviour he showed towards the old man.Arnold took some time to recover from the emptiness but Arnold managed to come back to his past self.

Arnold then created more telly's and held an auction to sell them throughout the 'Erisfret' continent.Almost all the nobles brought his telly and the telly for the common folk also came out after six months."I think it's time to have them come back", said General Luka.Are you talking about Militis and Sirelt?, asked Arnold even though the answer was clear to him."Yes, that's right I heard that they became much stronger than before".I also can't wait to see them and introduce Shara, our newest member.
