Chapter VII: Dragon Training (1)

John was sleeping in his bed when Astrid start to wake him up

Astrid:" Babe wake up."

John:" Mmm "

Astrid:" John wake up!

John:" I'm awake... I'm awake. What happen

Astrid:" Stoick is here he wants to talk to you, u think it's about Hiccup you know from this morning."

John:" What time it is

Astrid:" It's almost evening."

John:"¡What! And you didn't mind waking me up? Babe

Astrid:" Stop complaining and get dressed. Stoick is waiting for you."

John got dressed and went to meet Stoick

John:" Stoick, what gives me the pleasure to see you here"

Stoick:" John a told you don't be to____ with me."

John:" Yeah but if I don't show respect to the chef then who will."

Stoick:" Huh, so John I was talking to Gobber and he told me to put Hiccup into training with the other."

John:" It's about time."

Stoick:" So I'm going to put him in training but you have to go, remember that you have not graduated from the Academy. "

John:" Oh yeah"

Stoick:" Tomorrow the Academy start I'm going to talk to Hiccup about it. I not going to be around because some of the men and I are going to try to find the dragon nest, gobber is going to stay."

John:" Don't worry I will go."

(haddock house)

Stoick was sitting close to the fireplace waiting for Hiccup because he was not here just like gobber sad it will be, Hiccup opened the door and tries to go to his room quietly

Stoick: [as Hiccup tries to sneak past] "Hiccup."

Hiccup: " Dad! Uh, I have to talk to you, Dad."

Stoick: " I need to speak with you too, son."

[They both take deep breaths, then both speak at once]

Stoick: " I think it's time you learned to fight dragons."

Hiccup: "I've decided I don't want to fight dragons."

Stoick, Hiccup: " What?"

Stoick:" Uh, you go first."

Hiccup: " No no, no, you go first."

Stoick: " All right. You get your wish. Dragon training. You start in the morning."

Hiccup: " Oh, man, I should have gone first...Uh Because, I was thinking, you know, we have a surplus of dragon-fighting Vikings, but do we have enough... bread-making Vikings, or small home-repair Vikings...?"

Stoick:" You'll need this."

*Stoick thrust a large battle axe into his hands*

Hiccup:" I... don't wanna fight dragons."

Stoick: *chuckles* " Oh, come on, yes you do."

Hiccup:" Rephrase: Dad, I can't kill dragons."

Stoick:" But you will kill dragons!"

Hiccup:" No, I'm really, very extra sure that I won't."

Stoick:" It's time, Hiccup..."

Hiccup:" Can you not hear me?"

Stoick:" This is serious, son... When you carry this axe, you carry all of us with you.

Which means, you walk like us, you talk like us, and you think like us. No more of..."

*gestures to all of Hiccup*

Stoick:" This"

Hiccup:" You just gestured to all of me."

Stoick:" Deal?"

hiccup:" This conversation is feeling very one-sided..."

Stoick:" Deal?"

Hiccup: *sighs, giving in* " Deal."

Stoick:* Picks up his stuff* " Good... Train hard.

Oh and another thing John will be joining you."

Hiccup:" No! No! Anything but that, he'll make my life miserable."

Stoick:" Nonsense, I'll be back, probably."

Hiccup:" And I'll be here... Maybe. *in lower voice* If John doesn't kill me first."

Astrid:" John "

John:" What?"

Astrid:" Wake up Dragon training start soon and I want to go."

John:" But you already graduate from the Academy."

Astrid:" Yes but I want to see my sister she starts today remember, and you have to go too."

John:" Ok, ok. I'll get change and meet you there."

John was walking to the Academy when he sees Hiccup so he went up to him and they talk a little bit and enter the Academy to hear the recruit talking and gobber

Gobber:" Welcome to Dragon Training!"

Ashild:" No turning back."

Everyone starts to walk to the center and looking everything

Tuffnut:" I hope I get some serious burns!"

Ruffnut:" I'm hoping for some mauling, like, on my shoulder or lower back."

Ashild:" Yeah, it's only fun if you get a scar out of it."

Hiccup and John enter the Academy

Hiccup:" Yeah, no kidding, right? Pain. Love it."

John:" It only depends on where the scar is left."

Tuffnut:" Oh great, who let Hiccup in?"

Gobber:" Let's get started! The recruit who does best will win the honor of killing his first dragon in front of the entire village."

Snotlout:" Hiccup already killed a Night Fury, so does that disqualify him or...?"

The recruits LAUGH and chatter in the background.

Tuffnut:" Can I transfer to the class with the cool Vikings?"

Gobber throws a supportive arm around.

Gobber:" Don't worry. You're small and you're weak. That'll make you less of a target. They'll see you as sick or insane and go after the more Viking-like teens instead.

Gobber sticks him in line with the others, John fallow and stands next to him, gobber continues toward five massive reinforced doors.

Gobber:" Behind these doors are just a few of the many species you will learn to fight.

The Deadly Nadder."

Fishlegs:" Speed 8, Armor 16"

Gobber:" The Hideous Zippleback."

Fishlegs:" Plus eleven stealth times two."

Gobber:" The Monstrous Nightmare."

Fishlegs:" Firepower fifteen."

Gobber:" The Terrible Terror."

Fishlegs:" Attack eight. Venom twelve."

Gobber:" CAN YOU STOP THAT?!!

*puts his hand on the lever*

And...the Gronckle."

Fishlegs:" Jaw strength, eight."

Snotlout:" Whoa, wait! Aren't you gonna teach us first?"

John:" What scared."

Snotlout:" Not at all."

John:" Astrid said that he was more of a practical person. This is going to be fun."

Gobber:" Exactly" *pulls the lever*

*BOOM*

The Gronckle comes out, going to the recruits

Everyone runs in different directions

Gobber:" Today is about survival if you get blasted, you're dead. Quick, what's the first thing you're going to need?"

Hiccup:" A doctor."

Fishlegs:" Plus five..."

John:" Shield"

Gobber:" Shields. Go!!"

Everyone starts to look for a shield.

Gobber:" Your most important piece of equipment is your shield. If you must make a choice between a sword or a shield, take the shield."

Hiccup was trying to take the shield but he couldn't, John saw this and run to him and gave him his shield, and left to look for another one.

The twin starts to fight for a shield."

Tuffnut:" Get your hands off my shield!"

Ruffnut:" There are like a million shields!"

Tuffnut:" Take that one, it has a flower on it. Girls like flowers."

Ruffnut uses the shield to hits Tuffnut in the face

Ruffnut:" Ooops, now this one has blood on it."

They keep fighting for it and John saw the Gronckle look at them so he runs towards them and slides underneath the shield got up and blocks I fire that hit his shield.

Gobber:" Tuffnut, Ruffnut you're out."

Tuffnut, Ruffnut:" What"

Gobber:" If John hadn't saved you, you guys will be dead. And shields are good for another thing: Noise. Make lots of it to throw off a dragon's aim."

Everyone starts to make noise with the shield."

Gobber:" All dragons have a limited number of shots. How many does a Gronckle have?"

Snotlout:" Five"

Fishlegs:" No, Six"

Gobber:" Correct."

Fishlegs got distracted

*BOOM*

Fishlegs has his shield blasted away.

Fishlegs:" Ahhh"

Gobber:" Hiccup get in there"

*BOOM*

Hiccup got sacred and hid again.

On Ashild side she was bouncing on her heels, ready to dodge a blast. Snotlout appears, trying to hit on her.

Snotlout:" So anyway I'm moving into my parents' basement. You should come by sometime to work out. You look like you work out--"

Ashild left

Gobber:" Snotlout! You're done!"

Ashild rolls to a stop beside Hiccup who stirs awkwardly, trying to look cool.

Hiccup:" So, I guess it's just you and me huh?"

Ashild:" No. Just you."

Ashild rolls away next to John. A split-second later a lava slug knocks Hiccup's shield, clear off of his arm.

Gobber:" One shot left."

Hiccup panics and chases after his shield as it rolls across the ring. The sudden movement sends the Gronckle chasing after him, leaving Ashild and John in the clear.

Gobber:" Hiccup!!"

The Gronckle drives straight toward Hiccup, pinning him against the wall. It opens its mouth and cocks its tail, ready to fire. Gobber lunges in and hooks the Gronckle's mouth at the last second, causing its head to jerk back and fire against the stone wall above Hiccup's head.

Gobber:" And that's six "

Gobber wrestles the irate Gronckle back into his pen.

Gobber:" Go back to bed, ya overgrown sausage!" *lock the dragon in its cage* " You'll get another chance, don't you worry."

Everyone gets together

Gobber:" Remember... a dragon will always." *look at Hiccup* "Always go for the kill."

Gobber helps Hiccup to get up and leave with the other. John gets closer to him

John:" Yeah sorry about that I couldn't help in time."

Hiccup:" No, no that's ok you help me in the beginning."

Hiccup was looking at where the fire was hit thing about something.

John:" If your father gets to know about this I don't imagine what will he do to me. I mean he left me in charge of you. So tell you what you go clear off your main and I'll meet you over dinner, I'll cover you."

Hiccup:" Thanks John, you always have my back, well almost always."

So a was thinking about making two chapters to update, Saturday and today for the late update last Sunday but I have to do stuff so a just made this one 1500. So I'll make the other 1500 and then go back to 1k
