B-class Mission

*1 year later.

In a quiet forest, Tora was seated on a tree's tall branch. He was thinking back on the B-rank mission he was allowed to take, despite being a genin.

Over the past year, he would repeatedly take C-rank missions that could involve violence. He specifically took missions like hunting dangerous wild animals, protecting merchants, and bandit hunting within the land of fire.

When asked by Tsunade about this, he replied he wished to get more used to the violence of the shinobi world, to which she simply nodded. After numerous bloody missions, the mental wounds of killing finally stopped hurting.

Right now he went over the specifics of the mission he was given.

'5 rogue genin led by a single rogue chunin from the hidden grass has infiltrated the land of fire and has begun banditry. Eliminate all targets, if possible bring back identification from the chunin for the bonus bounty. They are likely camping in the protected forest reserve nearby.'

Tora looked up and saw the scarlet butterfly he sent in the northern direction to look for signs of activity returning.

As the butterfly got close by, he noticed that it was holding a small piece of charred wood.

When it arrived and delivered it to him, he noticed that the small piece of charcoal was still smoldering and warm.

'This is probably it, I guess I'm heading north.' Tora reasoned that the rogue ninja likely set-up camp in the northern area of the forest. Thus, he began stalking towards his targets.

When he arrived at camp, he noticed a few tents with a few of the rogue ninja standing guard. He hadn't seen the chunin yet, but Tora guessed they were likely staying at the largest tent in the camp. All in all, he counted 5 genin who were standing watch or resting inside their camp.

'Hmm, let's go with a bang for this mission. It's overkill but I need the practice an idea I thought of.' Tora decided on his approach.

Tora would alternate between a loud and quiet approach when dealing with these kinds of missions, his idea is he wanted to be experienced with both methods when the time called for it.

Tora backed away a few hundred meters from the camp, so the rogue ninja wouldn't hear what he was doing. Then he hid his bag and ninja supplies in a tree nearby.

Once he was ready, he first made the hand sign for mystique peacock technique.

"Mystique Peacock Jutsu: Wings." As he summoned this jutsu, the well known violet chakra wings formed behind his body. Tora then flew into the sky, just above the clouds so he would not be spotted by the missing ninja.

Then he crucially activated his new awakened power.

"Cosmic Wrath" He said as he channeled chakra within his body and activated his awakening. His body began to grow larger and stronger. After a few seconds, Tora became as large and buff as the fourth Raikage.

As he flew directly above the camp, he readied his new destructive jutsu.

"Starscourge Jutsu: Meteor Crash." Tora then started to dive bomb towards the center of the camp as he caused the effect of gravity on his body to become stronger thus causing him to speed-up. His body was also coated in both gravity release chakra and non-irradiated star chakra.

Truthfully, Tora would never do this without his new awakening mode that allowed him to breach the low-kage level for a short period of time. Though his base body had become significantly tougher, it was still a bit of a musclebrain idea to use himself as a human asteroid crash like Radahn did in the Elden ring game.

The rogue ninja were first confused by the sound of something hurdling towards them. It was when they looked up did they panic as they barely saw a large object visually releasing large amounts of violet chakra. They didn't have enough time to react before it crashed into the center of their camp.

CRASH!

BANG!

Tora caused a small explosion that immediately knocked away all the tents in the camp and killed the 5 rogue genin who were present as they were blown into pieces.

Looking at the nearby knocked over tent, he saw a heavily injured man crawl out. His two bottom limbs were gone but he was still trying to survive. It became clear that this was the Chunin who was leading these rogue ninja.

Tora walked towards him as his starscourge mode deactivated and he began to shrink to his normal size. The chunin ninja's last memories was looking up to see Tora drawing his odachi from behind his back and slashing down. Tora picked up the chunin's bloody head and headband and placed it in a sack he took out of his pockets.

'Targets eliminated, bonus identification found.' Was Tora's first thought.

'Test result for new jutsu: F*cking hurts, but has very destructive potential.' Was Tora's next thought.

It was still a clumsy attempt as Tora felt he could have done more destruction if he coated his chakra properly, but it got the job done for now. He also already started feeling the backlash from using it and he began to heal the bruises he caused to himself.

'I need to learn how I can keep my new mode for longer. In the future, I can also hopefully improve and get as large as Radahn was in the game.'

As he was thinking to himself, he detected movement from the forest around the camp. He, without looking, automatically threw a shuriken where he thought the movement came from. He didn't specialize at shurikenjutsu at all, but he was still able to throw one with decent accuracy.

"It looks like your getting better at throwing shuriken, your detection has improved too." Tora heard a familiar voice.

He looked to where he had thrown the shuriken and spots a white-haired shinobi in jounin attire spinning the shuriken Tora threw at him on one finger and nonchalantly reading a book with his free hand.

"Hello Kakashi-san. Did Hokage-sama send you to watch over me?" Tora did his best to be respectful despite his fatigue and minor injuries.

Kakashi was now more well known among Tora's generation than before.

As he had transferred out of the Anbu a few years ago and begun his tradition of failing academy students.

'Sigh, if I didn't know the actual reason. I'd think Kakashi does it so he can have more free time.'

"Mmm... I was just lost in the journey of life and found my way here." Kakashi, just like the story, did not like to answer questions.

"I see... Take care then Kakashi-san. I will be on my way." Tora didn't want to deal with Kakashi right now, so he tried to leave.

As he was passing by Kakashi to go retrieve his bag and ninja gear, Kakashi, without looking up from his book, spoke to him.

"You can still improve in your ability to hide things and create hidden stashes. Your supplies and gear were not too hard to find. Anko would be furious if she found out her student's things were stolen by the enemy" Kakashi then held-up Tora's ninja bag.

This caused Tora to freeze.

"Sigh... What is it Kakashi? I'm sure your not holding my things hostage for no reason." Tora dropped the honorific once he realized that Kakashi was already messing with him.

"... Aren't you young to be reading things like this?" Kakashi shows the book he was reading and sure enough, it was Tora's "borrowed" collector's edition of Make out: Paradise.

"... It's for my big brother, I borrowed it from the third Hokage's library." Tora repeated the excuse he said to Naruto exasperatedly, fully knowing how easy it was to see through his lie.

"... I see, well I think this still too much for you and your "big brother" so maybe I should hold on to it for a while for safe keeping." Kakashi replied.

"Sigh... can I have yours then. Your not going to use it anyway." Tora tried to negotiate to with Kakashi for concessions. If he could still activate his awakening he would've fought Kakashi for it back, but he was too tired at this point.

"You should hurry back, the Hokage is asking you to fill-in for Shizune in the new medical class of the academy in a few hours." Kakashi put Tora's copy of Make out: Paradise in his ninja bag and threw it back at him.

"Sigh... Maybe I shouldn't have suggested that when Hokage-sama was talking to Lady Shizune." Tora spoke as he caught the bag with his things.

He double checked the contents and took out one of the two clan summoning scrolls he kept with him. One of the scrolls contained this universe's version of a falling star beast, which he had to repeatedly beat to tame; this was used when he needed combat strength. The other was the scroll he used if needed to travel quickly without continuously using energy.

"Summoning Jutsu." Tora unraveled the scroll and activated it.

What appeared was a cross between a dragon, horse, and deer; a white kirin to be exact. This helped him travel long distances.

"Hey there Nemu, could you help me get back to the village?" Tora said with a smile.

The kirin neighed in approval.

"Don't worry, I'll get you lots of apples later." Tora said as he got onto his summon beast and quickly left. Leaving Kakashi by himself reading his own copy of Make out: Paradise which he took out.

"Sigh... the Hokage was right. His potential destructive power is frightening. The other villages are in for a surprise when that child finally decides to join the Chunin exam."

Author's Corner

Alrighty! So we got to see Tora's first B-class mission today and Tora gets to show some of the progress he's made in training. At this point, he can easily wreck a group of genin and a chunin while experimenting so you can tell his fighting force has increased significantly. He's already met Kakashi a few times at this point and knows most of Kakashi's deal (He too likes to get lost in the journey of life).

Next, chapter will be a quick one explaining Konoha Academy's optional medical class that Tora accidentally started. After that, were going to finally get to the start of the main story (Mizuki, Land of waves, etc).

Hey Guys!

I'm going to head to university soon to try and finish my last year of college this year and I'm not sure If I'll be able to keep updating this story regularly. Thus I wanted to inform you guys of this and I just wanted to say thank you for everyone that's read and supported this fanfiction and hope you enjoyed it so far. I definitely plan to continue updating but it definitely won't be at my original daily pace.
