One of them turned his head towards Gold, licking his lips. "Go and deal with that skeleton. I'll taste his blood."

In the midst of the chaos, one man lunged towards Sam, his knife gleaming menacingly before he vanished from Sam's sight in a blink. 

Witnessing this, Sam mumbled, "An assassin, no doubt," under his breath. With swift determination, he activated his 'Undead Armor' skill, shrouding his body in a layer of eerie undead energy, enhancing all his senses. 

Despite his focus, a faint sound resonated as the assassin's weapon collided with his Undead Armor.

Against this backdrop, a haughty voice reached Sam's ears, "Haha! You'll never discern my presence. Brace yourself for despair!" 

Unfazed, Sam intensified his heightened senses, a skill honed through rigorous chaos training, attempting to pinpoint the assassin's location. 

In a blink, a sharp pain seared through Sam's leg, revealing the hidden assailant lurking in the shadows.
