Danzo's deception

Hiruzen lifted himself from his chair and walked toward the window.

"Continue guarding the building. I'm going to find Tobirama."

"Yes, Hokage-sama!"

As he walked through the village, people started giving him space while smiling and waving. Hiruzen nodded in acknowledgment but kept walking. He sensed Tobirama's presence and changed his direction.

Upon arriving, he thought:

'How curious. I never brought him here, the smell must have guided him.'

He moved the cloth at the entrance and saw Tobirama with an empty bowl, sitting drowsily.

"Tobirama!"

Tobirama's face showed surprise, but then it turned serious.

"Hiruzen!"

Hiruzen closed his eyes, reminiscing about the past.

"Stop smiling, monkey. Why did you disturb me?!"

A thick silence filled the room as people looked at them, surprised.

"Hahahaha!"

Sigh

Ichiraku sighed in relief, seeing the Hokage amused.

'Out of all alternative worlds, why did I get this one?'

"Tobirama, today is your birthday. Don't you want to see the gifts I've prepared? If you don't like them, I'll give them to someone else!"

Hiruzen smiled mischievously, like a monkey.

Tobirama stood up and faced the Hokage.

"You wouldn't dare!"

"And there's also cake. Maybe I should give it all to Danzo," Hiruzen said thoughtfully.

"Did he set you up for this because I fled from home?"

"Maybe."

"Don't think I don't know about the ANBU monitoring me! I've seen through your disguise! You have eyes, but don't see Mount Tai!"

Hiruzen looked puzzled.

"Huh?"

"Frog in a well!"

"No, Jiraiya isn't in a well. He's outside the village."

Tobirama looked aside as if he was alone in this world, gazing at the horizon.

"Why are you looking at a wall, Tobirama?"

"You wouldn't get it, Hiruzen. You wouldn't get it."

"Did you hit your head—let's just go, please."

"My mercy is boundless, Hiruzen. You just take it for granted."

Unexpectedly, the Hokage used Shunshin and grabbed Tobirama, carrying him under his arm like cargo.

He stepped inside the house and placed Tobirama on his feet.

"Hiruzen, give me information about the presents."

"That's a surprise. You should look underneath the underneath."

Tobirama's face darkened.

"That's just opening them, though."

"Exactly. Hahahahaha!"

"Vengeance will be mine! Seriously though, what did you get me?"

"Tch tch, this is your first birthday. I can't tell, rules are rules."

Tobirama gave a small frown, looking Hiruzen in the eyes.

'?'

'When will this silly act end?' Danzo thought as he sat on the monument of the Second Hokage.

'Tobirama-sensei... I admire you, but you were bound by your silly morals and honor.'

A smirk appeared on his face.

'You even created a jutsu that could revive the dead while still holding the moral high ground. You knew the Uchiha would be a problem sooner or later, but you weren't decisive enough.'

Danzo sighed, looking at the sunset.

'But I learned from your mistakes, sensei...'

He stood up and patted his clothes.

'While I once sought your approval, that is no longer the case.'

He began walking toward the forest.

'I don't need anyone's approval. I am my own person now. I will become the real villain. Even if I go to hell, I won't die before bringing hell to people that try to stop me.'

Danzo clenched his fists.

'I WILL BECOME THE MONSTER THAT CREATED THE GOD.'

His form started disappearing.

'EVEN THE SAGE OF SIX PATHS CAN'T STOP ME.'

"HAHAHAHAHA!"

FLASHBACK – 1 YEAR AGO

Danzo sat before a Root member who was an exceptional genetic researcher.

"Does he have the potential for Mokuton?"

The Root member remained emotionless as he responded, "Danzo-sama, he doesn't."

"Then what are you happy for?"

'Danzo-sama truly is exceptional. He can sense even my emotions.'

"Danzo-sama, while he doesn't have Mokuton, his blood has an exceptional adaptability."

Danzo's body stiffened as he looked the Root member in the eyes.

"And?"

The usually blank-faced Root member smiled, surprising even Danzo.

"It can merge with the First Hokage-sama's and Uchiha blood without any issues, according to the test results."

Danzo's eyes gleamed with vicious intent.

'YES! Everything is going smoothly. I was thinking of creating a clone using the blood of the First Hokage and sensei, but there's no need for that now.'

Danzo produced a scroll from a hidden seal.

"Don't stop the research on brain exchange operations. And continue perfecting the creation of the First Hokage's clone."

'I will use the First Hokage's body as my own. Luckily, I've found a shapeshifting fuinjutsu from the ruins of Uzushiogakure. Nobody will suspect anything and...'

Danzo used Shunshin and appeared before the Senju house where Hiruzen and Tobirama were inside.

'I will have enough power to support him.'

"Hiruzen! Don't eat all the cake!" Danzo shouted with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

An old man sat watching this from his couch.

"Holy shit, man! I didn't even give any extra powers to him."

The old man looked angry as he wiggled his feet inside his crocs.

"I wanted to see him suffer through hard work! He doesn't even have plot armor! These Senju guys are crazy! And why did Danzo change so suddenly?! Forget it, every character in this show is crazy!"

Even though God was slightly angry, he huffed and his frown turned to a small smile.

"This is the free will I gave them. They even ruined my favorite show... You silly mortals."

He began laughing gently, looking content.

"Hahaha! Throughout Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am The Most Generous One!"
